"Mother?!" Suddenly the sound of someone shouting diverted their attention. Laras turned his attention to a middle-aged man who was walking out of the farmhouse with a slightly limped step. Many bruises were visible on his face, making Laras grimace at the thought of his pain.
The woman who had thrown a plastic bag at Laras turned her head, she immediately approached the man with a face that turned worried.
"Mr, why go outside. You're still sick, let's go in again, you have to rest a lot" said the woman while helping the man she calls you to walk.
"Wait a minute, Mom. She who? Why are you angry with her?" The middle-aged man chose to look at the already messy Laras and the slight smell of trash.
"Good day, sir. Introduce, I'm a Barrel from the company RK Elektronik." Baras immediately introduced himself while smiling kindly.
It was obvious the change in the middle-aged man's face when he heard Laras' words, but he seemed to be trying to temper his anger.
"Sorry, sir, ma'am, can we have a minute to talk?" asked Laras again still maintaining his friendly smile.
Meanwhile, the residents who had already gone outside were seen watching Laras and the middle-aged man's interaction. Including Herdi who seemed to be giving Ervin information about Laras.
"Send them in, Mom. It's not good to talk outside like this" said the middle-aged man, before finally choosing to enter first.
"Come in." Although she did not seem to like the decision of her husband, but the middle-aged woman also chose to obey and allowed Laras and Ervin to enter.
"Thank you, Mom, sir." Barrel spoke in a joyous tone, his smile was so wide. He approached Ervin to invite him in.
"Sir Herdi wait outside, let us both come in," Laras asked as he took the paper bag in Herdi's hand and clasped Ervin's hand.
"I'm sorry, sir, I'm a little dirty, so we're just like this, yeah," Laras continued, tightening his grip on Ervin's hand.
The man did not answer, but he followed Laras's steps, which helped him walk to the parents' home of the factory fire victim.
"Well what else are you guys going to my house? Are you guys not satisfied after making me like this?" asked the middle-aged man who was known as Darno.
"Sorry, Sir. But, can you tell me who g came to you before us? Because, to be honest, there is no order from the company to conduct coercion on the families of the victims," Laras said very politely and carefully.
"Alah, do not be kelit, obviously the one who came to us was from your company. You are not human! We only ask for justice for our son who has died because of your negligence in managing the company. But instead, you forced us to sign the peace papers by force! You little people!" the middle-aged woman shouted as she looked at Laras in disappointment. His eyes seemed to be teary-eyed withstanding the pain and tightness inside his chest.
"My son died! You think anyone can take his life? Nah! Even if you give us everything you have, it can never replace our son's life."
Laras looked down deeply, indeed he could no longer see the sadness that was clearly visible from the face of the middle-aged pair in front of him.
...❤🩹...
"We should go home first, you should clean up before we go to the hospital" Ervin said when they were both in the car again.
"Heem," nodded Laras in response.
"Do you know who might be able to do all that to them?" tanya Laras who still can not accept the actions of people who have threatened the parents of victims to sign a peace letter.
"Why can they be forced to sign a peace letter, while information coming to the company is the opposite? They demand double the amount we offer for compensation" Laras added.
"Sometimes, it does happen in situations like this," Ervin replied in a flat-sounding voice.
"They tend to look for opportunities in the narrowness of others, without knowing it can hurt themselves."
...❤🩹...
After cleaning himself and changing his clothes, Baras and Ervin again headed to the hospital, to visit the injured victims who are still doing treatment in the hospital.
Lara looked back at her husband's face. I don't know how many more surprises he'll get in this one? Haven't you had enough surprises since she married Ervin? Taking on such a huge responsibility like this was indeed quite difficult. What's with Ervin's current situation.
"Are you sure nothing will happen now? What if they do something worse than his wife Pak Darno?" ask Laras with a face that still looks agitated. Since then, he has banned Ervin from going to the hospital for fear of something unpleasant like before. However, Ervin insisted on staying, until now the two were in a car that began to enter the hospital area of their destination.
Ervin exhaled an annoyed breath and spoke with the rest of his patience to his wife. "How many times do I have to warn you, Laras? Don't call me sir. Don't you understand that yet?"
Baras was silent with his eyes blinking slowly. His throat suddenly felt dry, until it was difficult for him to swallow his own saliva. Why does he always forget that? Ah, how is this?
"But ... was that okay?" mumbled Laras with bulging cheeks and head lowered deeply.
Herdi who accidentally saw that expression on the face of the mistress, could only turn his eyes as soon as possible so as not to be released because he was too anxious for his mistress' wife.
"So that was the last chance. From now on there is no tolerance anymore. You gotit?" Ervin said in a cold voice, although there was a little vibration in it.
"I-iya," nodded Laras.
"Yes what?" ervin asked while smiling. Laras was made more panicked, she circulated her gaze, looking for an excuse to run away from her husband immediately.
Laras breathed a sigh of relief with gratitude in his heart. The situation even seemed to be on his side, right now because, just as Ervin asked, Herdi stopped his car in the hospital lobby, distracting Laras.
"Ah, we've arrived. I'll go down first" Laras said as he got out of the car to avoid his own husband.
"Ck!" Ervin clucked in annoyance, when his words were ignored by Laras.more, when Herdi as a driver who is not sensitive to his current feelings.
"Let me help you, young master." Herdi's voice again greeted the ears until, by force, Ervin went outside with the help of his driver. Meanwhile Laras had already gone to the lobby to inquire about the care room of the victims.
"Where's my wife?" ervin asked as he was instead assisted by Herdi, instead of Laras.
"The lady is already at the receptionist, sir," Herdi replied as he helped Ervin walk into the hospital.
"Don't we know where their room is? What else is he going to the reception?" Ervin knew that right now Baras was avoiding him, just because of a replaced call.
Herdi fell silent, he was too afraid to answer.
"Ck! Is it hard to just change the call? After all, he had also only been calling me that word for a few months, too" Ervin upset.
"Take me to the waiting chair" said Ervin again, which made Herdi confused. However, Herdi still obeyed him.
"Leave me alone" Ervin said again after sitting down.
"But, Mister-" Herdi frowned confusedly, he naturally would not want to leave his own master in such a crowded place.
"Herdi? You leave me here, or I cut your pay this month?" threaten Ervin with his innocent face and flat voice.
Herdi widened his eyes full. The threat of his boss was never messing around, if not fired, then cut the salary. That's really the heart.
"B-well, Sir. Then, excuse me," nodded Herdi, then walked away from Ervin.
"Akh wait!" Hendri stopped his steps when he heard Ervin scream, he then approached again.
"Don't tell him that we already know their room number" said Ervin who was immediately approved by Herdi. He walked away from his master. Herdi secretly sends a message to Laras, to tell the whereabouts of Ervin who chose to wait for him himself.
"Come, I've got their room number already" said Laras when he stood in front of Ervin with his carefree face.
"Eum" nodded Ervin as he stood up.
The two of them walked together to the hospital room in question. Laras seems a little awkward, but he tries to cover it up because the company's business is more important than his own feelings at this time.
"What'sthis? Isn't this the third-grade ward?" mumbled Laras as soon as he got in front of one of the victim's outpatient rooms.
"Third grade? Didn't I tell you to give them at least second or first-class room for the seriously injured?" Wrinkles on Ervin's forehead look deep. Disappointment is clearly reflected in the handsome face of the CEO of the company.
"I don't know either. I'm telling Emma according to the orders you gave. But, it turns out like this?" Barrel kept his voice down in the last sentence. His gaze also circulated to see the situation in the room that was far from decent. Not only was the room occupied by many patients, but because the room was too narrow, so that items were seen scattered everywhere, there were even small children playing there.
"Why are there so many people here?" ask Ervin again.
"It's really not worth calling the treatment room, this place is like a refuge" Laras murmured with teary eyes and a screaming back heart withstanding pain.
"Excuse me ...." The barrel finally opened its voice after quite a night of standing in the doorway, thus diverting almost everyone in the room. A young woman with a distended stomach was seen approaching him. It seems that the woman is pregnant.
"Who are you?" he asked Laras while glancing at Ervin.
Baras was silent, his throat suddenly choked when he saw the tired face of a pregnant woman with a gestational age that must have been large.
"Are you also one of the victims of the factory fire? You guys were transferred to this room, too?"
