Married A Blind Heir

Married A Blind Heir
Chapter.24 Not wanting to hurt

"Clearned!"

The barrel stopped its steps when a call with a familiar voice entered his ear. However, as soon as he knew who was now walking up to him, his eyes widened perfectly, with a shocked face very noticeable.

"Dion?" mumbles Baras. His heart suddenly thumped so fast. His face was pale, with eyes moving unsettled.

The employees who heard Dion's screams also distracted, so far they also watched the two meet. Surprised? Of course, considering they knew that Laras was Ervin's wife. However, now there is an employee calling him by directly mentioning the name only.

"When I haven't seen you, Ras. How are you?" dion asked, just plain talk. The smile on his face looked very bright. Blazing his eyes, indicating if the man is happy to be reunited with his best friend.

"I'm good. What are you doing here yourself?" asked Laras with a slightly alert movement. The woman even took her feet one step away from Dion.

"I work here, Ras," replied Dion still smiling happily.

"I finally got a chance to meet you, Ras. You have a show not later in the day? What if we had lunch together? I miss you so much, Ras. Since marriage, you've been hard to find, even though I've worked in the same office" Dion said. The man tried to get close to Laras, but Laras continued to avoid him, until Dion relented.

"Sorry, Dion. But, as you know, now I have a husband. I am also busy with my work" Laras said very carefully.

I hope he understands that I can't be around him anymore. If only Roland knew about us, it could be the ingredients for us next. So, it is better that they do not manage it, than that Dion will be exposed to danger because of me, Inner Laras.

Not that he wanted to be arrogant and avoid Dion, but he also had no other choice. Laras is better off being considered arrogant by her friends, than seeing them having to engage in the thorny tempest of her husband's family. Laras has decided to be next to Ervin, so he must also be willing to accept whatever the consequences.

"But, he's just using you, Race. Your husband doesn't really love you, he just wants to use you to take care of his company." Dion remained in his belief.

"You don't know what really happened. Please don't interfere in our lives. He is my husband, and we have decided to be together. Please, understand. I don't want our relationship to break down. I don't want to lose a friend like you, Dion." Laras is still trying to give understanding to his best friend.

"I just don't want you to be taken advantage of by him, Ras," said Dion. He lowered his head. It hurts, when he had to hear the woman he had long loved is now more defending other men.

"I understand. Thank you for still paying attention to me, Yon. But we've been married. It is my duty to help my husband and accompany him under any circumstances. That's what I'm doing right now, Dion. Helping my husband who is in a bad state. Please, understand." Barrel smiled thinly. He looked at Dion's sad face with pity. Truly, Laras never intended to play the good man. However, from the beginning he only considered Dion as a friend. No less or more.

"No, Race. You don't understand. You still don't know how they actually think of you."

Baras exhaled slowly. It was difficult to talk to Dion, when the man already had his own stance.

"You'd better go back to your parents, Dion. I know, you don't need a job in this office. Don't waste your time interfering in other people's relationships."

The barrel turned around and walked away after saying all that. Really, he was afraid that he would hurt Dion more, if he continued to serve his friend stubbornly. It's been enough all along, Dion helped her a lot. Now, Laras will tackle everything on his own, including his problem and Ervin's.

"Sorry, Dion."

Months pass by, happiness because a togetherness was felt so quickly through time, that without feeling the age of marriage was increasing. Now, Laras has begun to get used to the office activities with the busyness that fills every day. His relationship with Ervin also improved, as well as his life spirit which is now increasing.

"Baby, don't you have a meeting with a client today? Get ready quickly, business at the office, let me handle it," Ervin said as he read the file deliberately printed in braille.

Ervin nodded in response. The man, now active again in the company, although now he is only behind Laras. However, Ervin was already quite happy with all that. His life is now back in color with the existence of the wife beside him.

"I'll go with Herdi, if you need anything, just call Emma" Laras said. Take Ervin's hand and kiss him.

"Heem. Careful, baby," Ervin replied with a gentle smile. Even a light kiss he gave at the woman's temple.

"Yes. You too, be careful here, yeah. After the meeting was over, I went right back, really." Laras smiled, even though it would not reach the husband. The gratitude in her heart grew, when she saw the ever-increasing spirit of her husband.

...❤‍🩹...

"Madam, I've found a suitable donor for Mr."

The barrel widened its eyes, as a feisty voice from Dedrik greeted his ears. Truly, it was glad tidings that even he never thought of again.

"Really, Sir? You'll get a donor soon?" ask Laras with a flowering face. All of a sudden, his heart raced, because of the bliss that was bursting.

"Yes, Madam. I Hope Mr. will fly here immediately, to undergo further examination and preparation for donor acceptance surgery."

"All right, I'll tell you right away. He will definitely be very happy with this news" Laras nodded.

Meanwhile, Herdi who was still driving was seen smiling as his ears faintly heard the talk of Laras and Dedrik.

Can't wait to tell you the happy news. Laras hurried to his room, where Ervin was. However, his steps came to a halt when a voice could be heard calling out his name.

"Mrs Baras!"

Laras looked at one of the company officials who was seen walking hastily towards him.

"What's wrong?" Ask later.

"Ware, Mr. Herlambang, who died a week ago, has now transferred all his assets to his daughter." The man he knew was quite competent in his work seemed to sting, until his voice sounded unstable.

"Slow down, take a breath first" said Laras, trying to calm down.

"Then, what if all his assets were transferred to his son? Isn't that natural? What's the problem for us?" asked Laras, after seeing the man in his mid-forty years was calmer.

"The problem is, Mr. Herlambang's daughter wants to attract all her investment in our company."

The barrel widened its eyes when it heard all that. The state of the company's financial stability that has not been stable due to the fire disaster a few months ago, will not have a good impact if one of the biggest investors withdraw funds. That's really, really bad news.

"Well, I'll find a solution. Now you can come back" said Laras. After that short talk, Laras continued his steps to his room, even with a back-calm mind.

"What should I do now?"
