Denis motor drove splitting the streets of the capital that was getting nightly even more crowded. The wind that hit Denis' body felt still leaving a little warmth this afternoon. Denis's gaze was straight looking at the road he was going through from behind the full face of his helmet glass.
Dropping his motorbike unhurriedly, Denis patiently queued with another vehicle at a red light.
His mind was still spinning the events at his grandmother's house that he had just left behind. Dinner which was supposed to be a place to cross between family members, ended with a cold war between himself and his uncle. Far from the expectations of the grandmother who wants to bring all family members closer.
If only he didn't remember to honor his grandmother, he wouldn't want to feel like he'd linger in that house. Food that should taste delicious, even make his throat feel perit and his appetite lost somewhere.
He ate only a little and immediately went home to his grandmother and mother. Regretfully, his grandmother allowed him to return home early. Maybe her grandmother understood Denis' mood. And he did not want to worsen the atmosphere in the house. Besides, it looks like Alex isn't coming to catch up with him. So there's no reason to linger in her grandmother's house anymore.
Denis never thought, why Damian increasingly shows dislike to himself. Was it purely because of his dislike for Denis' friend, or was there another problem that made him behave like that?
Denis shook his head slowly.
His eyes narrowed when he saw a car on the left of him. With the position of the car in front, Denis can see the flat number of the vehicle clearly because it was highlighted by the vehicle lights behind him.
Denis advanced his bike carefully.
The lights in front of it have changed green, but the vehicle is still running slowly waiting until the front one really moves.
Denis brought his bike closer to the car, after feeling confident that it was Alex's car. He smiled faintly at Alex's surprised face as he met his wife on the street.
But Denis' smile receded for a while when he saw Alex was not alone in the car. There was someone in there who seemed to be laughing happily beside Alex. Although it is not so clear because the car glass is dark, but Denis can already guess who is now with Alex in the car.
Denis deliberately preceded the car. Turn down the bike and stop right in front of Alex's car when the traffic again falters. Plays his motor gas until it puffs out smoke that obscures Alex's view.
In the car, Alex narrowed his eyes to see the familiar figure. Although exhaust fumes blocked his view, he was not mistaken in recognizing the figure. Alex is also very upset with Denis's flat motor number.
Alex was very surprised to see who was in front of him at the moment. Instantly his heart beats irregularly after being convinced that it is Denis. She's fidgeting.
"Why?" The woman next to him could see Alex's uneasiness.
Alex did not answer. He picked up his phone and started dialing Denis's number. But it seems Denis ignored his phone call. The motor instead drove away from Alex's car as traffic resumed moving. For a moment, the motorbike had slipped away between other vehicles. Alex still has to be patient because his car is still blocked by other vehicles.
"What the hell is it?" The woman next to him was getting curious to see the look on Alex's face at this time.
"Dennis..."
"Dennis? Where's?" That woman is Viola. He was as surprised as Alex when he heard Denis' name called by Alex.
"It's far ahead. That, the one with the red motor." Alex pointed with his chin. His finger was busy pressing his phone button, constantly trying to contact Denis. However, his efforts were in vain. Denis ignored.
"I'm sorry, Vio, I think I should take you home quickly and can't stop by."
Alex drove his car, looking for a gap so that he could get out of the queue of vehicles that were still snaking. He's gonna have to catch up with Denis.
He hoped Denis wouldn't see him with Viola. But it's very unlikely. It looks like Denis knew where he was with Viola, just now.
The beautiful woman sitting next to him was silent. Look at the streets with a glare. The smile of happiness on his face instantly faded away.
"Disenis see me?"
"I don't know. But most likely, yes." With Alex's nimble hand turned the car's steering wheel. Adding speed as he had the chance to go faster. He wanted to arrive at his destination, the Viola's house. And as much as possible, go home to see Denis.
"I'm sorry. If Denis misunderstands and gets angry, it's all my fault." Viola glanced at Alex who looked extremely panicked. There was a bit of pain in Viola's heart at the look on Alex's face that worried Denis so much.
"Not to worry. Not necessarily Denis saw us. I can explain everything to Denis anyway. He can definitely accept my explanation." Really, Alex was actually feeling unsure of his own words. But he did not want to make Viola feel guilty.
The wrong thing here is him. Why couldn't she refuse Viola's invitation to look for a birthday present for her mother? If only he had firmly refused Viola's invitation, surely none of this would have happened.
Elsewhere, Denis takes his motorcycle to the place he used to hang out with his friends. Park the motorbike between several motorcycles that have been parked there first and remove the helmet that wrapped his head.
A group of young men were gathering on the side of that road. Among them were also some women.
Denis stepped foot to people he already knew very well even just from looking at his vehicle. One of them called out Denis' name and waved his hand. Denis' arrival made the atmosphere even more boisterous. They welcomed Denis warmly.
"Wow! Look who's coming!"
"New bride ...."
"Callo, Denis ..."
Denis smiled and greeted them one by one.
Denis frowned when he saw a girl whose presence in that place felt very awkward.
"Lho's? That's Denis?" The girl was surprised by Denis' presence there. His eyes were staring at Denis.
"What's going on here?" Denis's eyes narrowed.
"What's Denis doing here?"
"He's the same as me" Ricko who was among those people quickly interrupted.
"Him? Same lo?" Denis frowned. His eyes were staring at the girl questioningly.
"Yes. So ..." Ricko wrapped his hand on the girl's shoulder. "Mariana's my girl now."
"What?"
"Don't pretend to be that cool. Not wrong with you."
"Lo's dating her?" It's as if Denis is still unsure of the information he just got. "Can't you?"
"Yes can do it." Ricko replied lightly.
"Do you know, Den? Ricko actually demen same lo. But you're not sensitive, so he's looking for a real girl. Bhaha .... "
The words of a friend of Denis made his other friends laugh out loud. Ricko widened his eyes looking at the guy who had just spoken, gesturing him not to continue.
Mariana leaned towards Ricko.
"Do you really like Denis?" His lips pursed with sharp eyes staring at Ricko.
"Yes no. When I like girls, it's like her. You just call him 'mas'. I love real girls like you," Ricko chuckles Mariana's chin. But soon the girl turned her face away from the man's hand.
"Who did you say girls are going on? You mean, me?" Denis' turn widened his eyes towards Ricko.
"Yes, who else?" Ricko scratched his non-itchy head.
"Asem lo," Denis harrumphed. "But by the way, since when are you guys dating? How can you two go out?" Denis is still curious about Ricko's original answer.
"Kepo. I, the same Mariana dating do not need to make you wonder. The weird tuh elo, newlyweds kelayapan nyampe here. Napa lo's? Same with your men? Are we the same?" Instead of answering Denis' question, Ricko teases Denis with his question.
"Gue misses you all."
"Still remember Lo is the same? Not when Jack and his men came to Lo's party, they were thrown out, "Someone nodded in a slightly cynical tone. Denis looked towards the man.
"I'm not the one who ngusir bang Jack the other. I'm sorry about Bang Jack. They understood the incident and did not blame me. Why do you even quip me now?"
"Gue doesn't miss Lo. That's the truth, isn't it? It's different now. You don't need people like us."
"What do you mean?" Denis's voice was rising.
"Gue don't want ya after this there's the same problem lo!"
"With you talking to me, it means you're looking for trouble with me!"
"Already, already! Why fight?" Ricko immediately mediated. He stared alternately at Denis and his friend named Juna.
"It wasn't two days I knew Denis. You don't have to talk about it like that. You don't know him." Ricko said to Juna. "We all know Denis from a long time ago. There's no way Denis is like that."
"Nothing is impossible in this world, Rick. He used to need us because he wasn't considered in his family. Now she's accepted into her family and even has a conglomerate husband. Could he change?" Juna still remained insistent with his stance.
"Enough!" Ricko stared hard at Juna. "Gue hope you're kidding me about Denis. He's our friend. He can meet us whenever he wants."
"Father, Rick. I know I've been bothering you. I'd better get out of here." Denis went back to his bike and put on his helmet. Ricko's call was unsettled trying to keep him from leaving. The motor quickly drove away from the place.
Denis drove his bike at high speed carrying his increasingly erratic mood. The day is increasingly moving towards the heart of the night, making the road somewhat quiet from vehicles in the area.
In a slightly dark corner, without expecting someone to cross from the left when Denis motorbike was close enough. Denis was surprised not to play. Spontaneous Denis braked his motor. But it's too late.
Brakk!!
