Secret Denis

Secret Denis
Ninety Nine

"Denis gone? Since when?"

"Not long after you're gone."

"What?"

Alex gasps. He had completely forgotten Denis. No. gabe. Not forgetting. But he ignored it. How could he possibly ignore the woman he had just married some time ago.

Alex called Denis right away.

He waited long enough for his phone to be picked up.

"What's wrong?" ask Denis from across there in a flat voice.

"Where are you?"

"It doesn't matter where I am. Just calm down."

"Dennis, please. I'm sorry. I was so panicked that I just left."

"Father. No problem."

"Say where are you?"

"Obviously I'm alive and you don't have to worry about me."

Alex exhaled with a huff. She squeezed her hair in despair.

"Darling, tell me where are you right now?"

"lex ... " Viola approached Alex.

Click! Phone connection disconnected.

In a cafe, at the corner of the table, Denis was enjoying his food without expression. His face looked down regardless of the circumstances around him.

A girl came to his place after delivering an order for two customers sitting at a table not far from Denis' seat.

The girl placed an empty tray on the table and looked at Denis with smiling lips.

"Mas! My mother!" He called out flirtatiously. Denis ignored the girl. He finished his meal and sipped a drink up the toilet.

"Maaasss," The girl teases Denis.

"Stop calling me 'mas'." Denis glared sharply. The girl laughed amusedly. Seems not afraid at all with the pugnacity Denis shows.

"Denis's mom is so funny." The girl shook her head. "New bride, not honey moon. It's even this way."

"Denis ran away again? It should be the same with Alex again.."

Denis narrowed his eyes looking at Mariana's face, the girl who had been teasing him since.

"I mean, again kangen kangean that you know, Mas. You guys just got married."

"It's none of your business."

"Idihh very fierce." Mariana pursed her lips.

A young man who had just entered the cafe smiled when he saw Denis there. He immediately put his foot on Denis's desk.

"Dennis!"

"Ricko?"

Without further ado Ricko pulled up a chair beside Denis and sat himself there. His eyes glanced at Mariana. The one who caught his attention was Denis.

"It's very surprising to see you're here. Isn't it just merit yesterday?"

"Don't talk about it now, ok?"

"Sorry."

Ricko turned to Mariana. He mentioned some food and drinks to himself. Not to forget he offered Denis because he saw Denis had finished his food. Denis refused.

"Sorrys. But, are you having any more problems?" Ricko looked at Denis clingy, the tomboyish girl who had always been his rival in the racecourse.

"Nothing. I'm just fine for it."

"Lo's man?"

"Have a lot of work."

"New merit has taken care of the job? Too far from him?" Ricko clicked slowly. Denis just put on a slanted smile.

"And you eat here alone?"

Denis did not answer.

"Are you sure you want to live life with a guy who doesn't care about you?" Ricko squinted his eyes. Examining Denis facial expression when she asked like that.

"You mean?"

"Yes, obviously he doesn't care about you. He shouldn't have left you for any reason when you were just married. It doesn't make any sense." Ricko shook his head.

"Gue doesn't matter."

"But you guys just got merits. Kemaren. It's really weird that I think."

"Not to feel weird. Denis could accept this. Why are you feeling so bothered?"

Someone suddenly sat in front of Denis. His sharp eyes stared fixed on Denis' face which seemed very surprised by his presence there. And Ricko too. His face darkened after seeing who the man who had just come was.

"You're not waiting for me to eat. I haven't eaten since." Alex's gaze could not be separated from Denis's face.

"Gue thought you had eaten the same 'friend' lo it." Denis smiled cynically. It's obvious that he stressed the word friend to Alex.

"If so, you pesen noh food. I'm done." Denis got up from his seat. Waving towards Mariana and handing over some money to pay for her food. Without excuse he got out of that place.

Denis doesn't care about the guy. He immediately runs his car leaving the cafe yard increasingly crowded.

In the cafe, Ricko just stared at the departure of the two people with a soft belt of his head.

"The "strange bride. Something must have happened until Denis got so angry" he murmured softly.

"I think so too. Looks like they're all over again." Mariana who was arranging the food ordered Ricko chimed in.

Denis drove his car on the road at moderate speed. His eyes focused on the street he was walking through, as if he did not think there was anyone else beside him.

"What was your relationship with that guy?" Alex finally broke the silence between the two.

"He's my friend. You know that, why ask."

"Why are you two there? Did you make an appointment to meet him?"

"Lo don't see there's a lot of people? I'm not both with him."

Alex snorted in annoyance.

"I'm not kidding, Denis. Why are you running around alone like that? People must think nothing of our marriage."

"But you don't think so when you go with that chick."

"I left because circumstances forced me to leave."

Denis grumbled and threw his face.

"Do you have to go with that girl?"

"I'm sorry if you don't like it. But I already consider him a member of my family. Wait ... Are you jealous?"

Alex looked at Denis from the side. Again the girl threw away her face.

"Jealous? Don't." Answer Denis ketus.

"You're jealous."

Denis did not answer. He stared at the street in front of him pretending not to hear Alex's question.

"You are jealous." Alex smiled triumphantly.

"Look, yeah. I'm not jealous. I just feel like you don't appreciate me. That's it."

"I'm sorry."

Denis snorted while turning his face away.

"Mama Tania is in the hospital. His condition is very concerning. Faisal called me so I went straight there. And Viola wants to come with me. I can't refuse it." Alex said seriously enough.

"Goodoo. She's a special woman to you."

"Dennis. Right now, you're like a jealous wife." Alex smiled as he narrowed his eyes looking at Denis from the side.

"Gue, not jealous."

"Yes, yeah, yeah ..."

Faisal came to deliver Alex's car which he left at the cafe.

"According to the doctor, it would be nice if such a patient was with his family" Faisal said when Alex asked about Tania's condition. They're in Alex's office right now. Denis who was there just silently listened to Alex and his assistant talk.

"Would he be in a mental hospital?" alex asked after a moment of silence.

"Mu Tania's mental state can still be improved by being given the attention of the closest people. Show him that we have forgiven his mistake and at the same time provide support for his recovery." Faisal tried to explain.

"But I haven't forgiven him. You know, it's really hard for me to forgive her."

"But I think you're starting to forgive him. You care about her. I can see it."

"Can't be. I can't possibly forgive a woman who's been the cause of papa's death in a very sad state. She's a savage woman. He deserves to be punished for what he did in the past. It seemed, the punishment was still too light for him."

The look in Alex's eyes showed his hatred for the woman who had been his stepmother.

Faisal sighed softly. He can't possibly force Alex to accept Tania back in his life.

"If he's being treated here, then what about his legal status?" Denis opens his voice seeing the deadlock between Alex and Faisal.

"Bu Tania can continue her legal process if the situation is possible with a statement of recovery from the doctor."

Denis silent. His eyes looked at Alex trying to dive into what the man had in mind.

"Listen," Alex returned Denis' gaze. So deep and deep. But his words were addressed to Faisal. "You take care of that. I want to take my wife somewhere and I don't want anything to bother."

"What's? Where are you going?" Denis widened his eyes.

"You forgot? We just got married. And the newlyweds usually go on a honeymoon."

"No," Denis cut in quickly. "Aunty Tania's problem is more important today. Who wants a honeymoon?" denis cheeks blush red.

Faisal smiled at the two people in front of him.

"If Mr. Alex wants to go, please. I'll take care of everything. You two don't have to worry."

"No. I don't want to go."

"alright. Faisal, he's not going anywhere. He'll just go home." Alex moved his foot toward Denis. His eyes fixed looking at Denis's bead.

"Then, excuse me," Faisal who knew himself immediately said goodbye. Although there was no answer from the two men, he quickly walked out of Alex's study and closed the door tightly.
