"Yes my. I can't believe this. We've become a spectacle for many people because of the behavior of your son, Rania." Damian shook his head. The corner of his lips slightly lifted up cynically looking at Denis and Alex.
"We're all discussing serious issues and you're kissing in the park instead. Oh my God. It's unbelievable." His mouth hasn't stopped.
Denis's face flushed. Between shame and anger. His sharp gaze pierced Alex as if blaming everything on the man. Alex grinned faintly returning the girl's murderous gaze. His eyes softly countered against Denis's sharp eyes.
"It has. It should not be extended. Let's go back to Mom's room." Rania signals Denis to follow her.
They came out of the security room after apologizing several times for the uproar.
"Do you believe it's a girl? Look at the way the road is also there are no women at all." Whisper a security guard while watching Denis from behind.
"Yes. If it wasn't her mother who said it, I wouldn't have thought it was a girl either." Fellows.
"Don't they lie. He could actually be a man. Just his family's embarrassed about having a same-sex child."
"Yes already. Let it be, that's their business. Now is the time of crazy. Women look like men. Men look like women. It's not weird anymore." The other law.
While in the hospital hallway, Damian still can not be silent.
"I don't believe this. I don't think Denis likes men." Damian's laughter still left. Denis only glared with a sharp eye to Alex.
"Why glare at me? You're the one who's talking." Whisper Alex and deliberately touch her lips in Denis' ear. The smile on his face instantly turned into a ringing as Denis' elbow solemnly pierced his stomach. His moans made the three people who were walking in front of them simultaneously turn their heads.
"Why Alex?" Rania asked when she saw Alex's reddened face withstanding quite a fair amount of pain.
"There's nothing, Miss Rania." His voice was heavy and deep.
"Oh yes Alex. I think it's better if you call my aunt."
"Good, aunt." Still with the ringing.
They were in front of Aryanti's room. Rania went into her mother's room first. Since coming to the hospital she has not seen her mother. Hampered by his argument with Damian who has not found a common ground and coupled with a little noise caused by Denis and Alex.
Andres and Damian followed him from behind. Denis prefers to sit in the waiting chair.
Alex sits next to Denis.
"I'm sorry you're embarrassed." Alex said sincerely while looking at Denis. Denis only snorted annoyedly with a face that was still flushed red from embarrassment and anger towards Alex.
Alex refrains from talking much to Denis. He knew the girl was upset. He doesn't want to until Denis gets mad at him and gets back away from him.
While in the room, Rania was standing beside the bed, looking at her mother who was lying weak. Aryanti was still unconscious. His condition is very concerning.
Whatever anger Rania had towards her mother, seeing her condition like that made her heart tremble as well. His mind is raging at the moment. What should he do now? Did he have to approve his mother's wish to take Denis' kidney? If that's the case, what about Denis?
Rania nodded slowly.
Kinanti, his sister-in-law faithfully looked after the mother-in-law who still closed her eyes.
"Hows it? Have you guys made a decision? The doctor asked. Because the condition of the mother is getting worse. Should we get a donor soon for mom?"
"How about we try to find first. There is no way that no doctor can help you get a donor for you. I'll pay him whatever I have to pay." Rania is still trying to defend her opinion. Damian breathed out violently. His head feels dizzy. She knew Rania would not allow her daughter to donate her kidney. But that was the last way for them. No one is donating a kidney at this time. Nothing matched his mother's kidneys.
Not Damian to his own nephew. But that's the best thing right now for his mother's recovery.
"Rania, I won't force you again for this. We'll leave it to God what happens to you. I knew you wouldn't let your daughter donate her kidney. I am not trying to find another donor. You know, it's gonna be hard to get." Damian softened his voice. There was no point in him being rude to Rania. He knew Rania would fight back even more if she was being rude.
Rania fell silent. Damian's exact estimate. If it is based then Rania will increasingly fight. But if treated gently, Rania's heart will also be soft. Seemed his sister was staring at Aryanti's face with a glare. Doubt is in his eyes.
"I have to talk to Denis."
Damian breathed a sigh of relief. At least a little progress. He nodded and invited his sister to come out.
Rania exited the room followed by Andres.
Seeing his mother come out, Denis got up from his seat.
"How's grandma doing?" Ask Denis.
"Grandmother.he's still unconscious." Rania answered weakly.
"Let me help Grandma." The girl looked at Rania expectantly.
"Why do you want to help Grandma so much? He's been mean to you?"
"If giving my kidney to Grandma would make her accept me, I would."
"Trust. I'll be fine."
Rania shook her head with tight lips restraining her cries.
"I'm sorry my mom always ignores you. Sorry mom who always makes you sad and desperate. Sorry my mom made you what you are today. All the mistakes were my mother who bore them. You shouldn't think so just to get your own grandmother. It's all mama's fault."
Denis shook his head. His eyes looked at his mother's eyes with tears that filled him. Unable to bear the circumstances, Rania hugged her daughter's body tightly. Crying on Denis's boat.
And so did Denis. Although no sobs came out, but wet in his eyes showed all his feelings.
Andres rubbed his wife's shoulders affectionately.
"You must be sincere, dear. Trust me, this is what's best for all of us."
*****
Preparation for kidney transplant surgery has begun. Various affidavits have been made and signed by Denis and his mother. Although the recipient is his own grandmother, all procedures must be carried out.
Aryanti remained in the hospital for several days. He also had to perform various procedures before the operation.
"I want to see Denis for a minute."
That morning when he ate his breakfast. Kinanti who was accompanying her mother-in-law agreed.
"Finish your breakfast, I'll call Denis here." Follow him politely. Aryanti did not speak anymore. She finished her meal after that.
Ten o'clock in the morning Denis came. He was alone without any company.
"Sit down." Aryanti gestured for Denis to sit near her. Without saying anything, Denis occupied the chair next to his grandmother's bed.
"How are you?"
"Good."
"Are you ready to donate your kidney to Grandma?" There was no meaningful expression on the woman's face when she asked Denis.
"I'm ready."
"Goodoo. Just so you know. Right now the lawyer has prepared a document on the transfer of some of Grandmother's assets to be in your name. Also in your mother's name. You'll own shares in the company and some of Grandma's other possessions."
Denis silent. His hands clenched silently at his side. His face hardened without the old woman realizing.
"After the recovery of the grandmother, we will have a party and at that time, the grandmother will announce to everyone that you are a granddaughter of the grandmother and will get the same rights as other grandchildren."
Denis is still not flinching. His gaze was straight through the wall of the room that was still frozen.
"You must thank you because he too will have my inheritance because of your sacrifice."
"Has grandma finished? I still have to do something else ahead of tomorrow's operation."
Denis immediately cut off Aryanti's increasingly slurred speech. His sharp eyes turned to look at the woman.
"Excuse me." Immediately Denis got up from his seat and left the place without concern for Aryanti.
"Dennis! Grandma's not done!"
Denis closed the door a little rough. Kinanti who was waiting outside was surprised to see Denis who came out of the room in a bad state.
"Make sure grandma gets a proper break. Don't let his mind get distracted thinking about his operation tomorrow." He said in front of Kinanti. After that he carried his steps wide leaving Kinanti who was still glued to where he stood. He closed his mouth, which opened to ask Denis. Her husband's niece had disappeared into the elevator.
