The next day Alex forced her to go home. Although Denis forced him to continue to undergo treatment at the clinic until he recovered, but Alex still wanted to go home soon. He has not fully healed yet.

The bruises on his face and some parts of his body were the handwork of Reno and his men not disappearing overnight. The pain was still very painful and quite made him unable to sleep all night.

Denis couldn't force her to stay longer in the clinic. He finally brought Alex home. To her mother's house. Because Rania was worried that Alex would have to live alone in her house. Nor will anyone take care of Alex if Alex returns home. So inevitably Denis takes Alex to his mother's house for further treatment.

Fired by Denis and Davin, Alex is taken to the guest room on the lower floor. Carefully lay Alex's weak body on the bed. Alex grimaced slightly as he straightened his legs.

"How was the X-ray yesterday, is there anything serious?" Andres stared concernedly at the man who was soon to be marrying Denis.

"Yes already. Denis, you go with Alex. Mama's making food for Alex." Rania interrupted.

"Don't say that. You are already a member of our family. You don't have to be confused with aunty and om. Now focus on your recovery. You guys have to get your wedding ready." Rania smiled sincerely.

"I'm going to the room first, ma. I didn't sleep last night." Davin put on a tired face. After last night's fight and taking care of Alex at the clinic, of course, he hasn't rested his body properly. "You rest. Don't think about your sister. He's been handed over to the police." Andres slapped Alex's foot and then walked out of the room. Denis was still standing not far from the bed.

Alex fell silent. Heart rages. The problem he had with Bhishma alone made Denis hard to accept him. Now Reno is adding to the problem between himself and Denis. Had Denis known who Reno really was, Alex would not have known what the girl's reaction was.

Alex took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Denis is still standing in his place.

"You don't want to get close to me?" Alex looked at the girl softly.

Denis walked closer. Sitting next to Alex's body leaning against a pile of pillows.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me." Alex held the girl's hand. Both sets of their eyes clashed.

"For the umpteenth time, you became the angel of salvation for me. I don't know what to repay him with. Maybe with the love I'll give you my whole life. Is that enough?"

Denis cheeks flushed. A faint smile was engraved on his face.

"Sleep. You need a break." Denis returned the man's gaze. Not wanting to hide the tinge on his face.

"You haven't answered my question."

"What?"

"Would I give you the love of my whole life that's enough to repay all your kindness to me?" His face may be bruised, but the eyes still have the same naughty highlight as before and can make Denis wrong.

Denis almost stood up if Alex didn't hold his hand.

"And don't break the promise to wear whatever dress I'm gonna buy you."

Denis' eyes widened. His face was now getting red like a ripe tomato. How could Alex say that? Does that mean Alex didn't really faint?

Alex held back his laughter and followed the ringing from the pain he still felt around his face.

Denis had dinner in the guest room with Alex. Although a little difficulty chewing his food, but Alex refused to eat porridge.

With his promise he asked Denis to bribe him. Without denying Denis fulfilled the man's wish. It's not the first time she's been feeding Alex, anyway. Long before, he had already fed Alex several times. But now it feels much different. Now Alex is his fiancee.

"I'm sorry I worried you." Alex said to the mouthful of the girl. Denis did not answer. He scoops some more rice and feeds it into Alex's mouth.

"I don't know if you didn't show up on time, maybe I did.." Denis stuffed a spoonful of rice into Alex's mouth.

"If you want me dead, why did you help me last night." Alex grumbled with joking intent. But he did not expect his jokes to make Denis very angry.

The girl placed the plate she was holding on the small table with a slight roughness. His eyes looked at Alex.

"I've forbidden you from speaking carelessly, why do you still say it? You think I wasn't scared last night seeing you like that? You think I feel at ease knowing you just disappeared without any news?"

Alex stunned. His eyes were fixed on the girl. The girl's eyes were dewy. The look in his eyes weakened to show the other side of him that had seemed to not care about Alex. Alex knows, behind his cold attitude Denis cares about him a lot. Alex knew, the girl had the same taste as she felt for the girl. She also knew that the girl was not good at expressing all her feelings. But this time, it was the first time he had expressed his feelings directly. In addition to the time in the car last night when I thought Alex was still unconscious.

Alex heard everything Denis said last night, even in a semi-conscious state. And he was so happy to hear that.

Once in the morning Faisal came to deliver a change of clothes for Alex. Not formal clothing. Only casual clothes that the man used to wear while relaxed. That means he won't go to the office. Moreover, if he forced to leave, it would certainly cause a stir out there to see a bruise on his face that had not disappeared.

Today he's just going to stay at Denis' house without doing anything.

As usual breakfast is a mandatory routine for all family members before doing other activities.

Alex insists on having breakfast at the dinner table even though Denis has banned him. Faisal had breakfast with the Denis family because of Rania's insistence. Although the man had rejected it because he was reluctant, but eventually he sat down with the Denis family.

"My lawyer has already put a report on Reno into the police. Maybe you'll be a little uncomfortable if the police call you to testify at the police station." Andres spoke to Alex.

Alex fell silent. He glanced at Faisal who was looking down focused on his food. Pretending not to see his master was staring at him.

"He must be severely punished for abducting Alex, intimidating her, physically abusing her and it's not impossible that she'll do more than that." Davin chimed in on his papa's words. Denis was silent, as usual. What he wanted to say was already represented by his sister.

"But after all, she's Alex's real sister. He did it because there was a reason. She must be feeling frustrated over what happened to her mother." Rania gave her opinion. "You better think again about the blood relationship between the two of you."

"Brother is still brother. But if what he's doing is out of the way of the law, you better let the law do the talking. He will repeat the deed if he does not learn from it." Andres replied to his wife.

"Hate does not need to be met with hatred. Violence should not be countered by violence. Blood is thicker than water." Of course Rania thought from the point of view of a woman who was full of feelings.

"But at least, let him go to jail for a while. Let him feel the consequences of his actions. Didn't you see the consequences of Reno's actions? She herself did not think that Alex was her brother. Sadistically he treats Alex. If only me and Denis hadn't come soon, I don't know what he'd have done to Alex." Davin interrupts the debate between his mom and dad.

"Yes, Ma. Does my mom imagine how my sister would wear a wedding dress?" Davin narrowed his eyes glancing at Denis. The girl glared at her sister with her teeth docked.
