"Pope.." Slow groaning from between the lips of Reno that moves almost imperceptibly. Denis got up from his position. Likewise Alex, he immediately got up and approached Reno who turned out not to move a bit.

Alex's hand touched a button on the top of Reno's body. Not long after the doctor who treated Reno came followed by a nurse and a man in police uniform behind him.

"You pressed the emergency button?" Ask the doctor when you arrive in the room.

Alex nodded quickly.

"He whimpered earlier. I think he's conscious. Why is he silent now? Is she okay?" Alex watched Reno with worry. Denis was standing next to him and listening to what Alex said. His eyes also took Reno seriously.

The doctor nodded in understanding with an explanation from Alex.

"Please both of you get out first. I'll check it out." The doctor spoke softly. Alex turns to Denis who is followed by a nod by the girl. Without much talking the two walked out of the room where Reno was being treated.

Denis sat in the waiting chair in front of Reno's room. Alex prefers to stand up. It seemed like he was very uneasy considering Reno's state of being still alarming.

"Sit down." Denis gestured for the man to sit next to him. He could see the unease on the man's face. Alex according. He dropped his body next to Denis.

"What if he can't be saved?" His words were like someone who was desperate.

"Don't talk like that. He could definitely get through this phase." Denis tried to give hope to Alex even though he himself felt doubtful about his own words. "So I heard him call 'papa'. He must be remembering your dead father. Maybe his subconscious misses your papa."

"Maybe." Alex answered briefly. Verily he knew not who Reno was called in his delusion. Is it possible that he called Arga Dinata? Or did he call his biological father? I don't know.

Denis's phone call distracts them. Alex turned his head as Denis began answering phone calls.

"Yes, Ma?" Apparently Rania called.

"Where are you, baby? Davin said you went in a hurry with Alex."

"I'm in the hospital again. Reno got a serious stab wound on her stomach. He's still critical." And Denis missed that he donated his blood to Reno.

"Yes, God. But Alex is okay, right?"

Rania is worried about Alex. Though it is very clear Denis said that the problem is Reno, his sister.

"Yes. He's fine."

"Thank God. The invitation is ready and mom has told people to spread it. I hope nothing happens that will hinder your wedding. Mama's very worried because there's always something going on with Alex."

Apparently that was what made Rania very worried.

"You don't have to worry so. Everything must be fine. Thank you for taking care of everything."

"Aren't you guys coming home tonight?"

Denis glanced at Alex at a glance.

"Not yet, Ma. We are still waiting for Reno's development. He was delirious, but the rest he still couldn't respond to anything."

"All right then. May he quickly wake up and recover. You guys take good care of yourself. Don't forget to eat. Or do you need to send food there?"

"No need. We'll buy it here." Answer Denis quickly.

Denis hangs up, with Reno's room door open and the doctor exiting, followed by nurses and police officers who continue to guard the case.

Alex and Denis got up from their seats.

"How's doctor?"

"It seems there has been a bit of progress. We still have great hopes he'll wake up soon. Give stimulation to his brain by continuing to interact with it. Even if he doesn't respond, there's a chance his brain might reactivate if we continue to give him stimulation."

"Alright doctor. Thanks for the explanation." Alex nodded in understanding what the doctor said.

"Can we keep him inside?" Ask later.

"Yes. Go ahead. It's important that he's always accompanied by people who love him." The doctor smiled before saying goodbye to Alex and Denis.

"You hungry? How about we go eat first?" Alex asked after a long while they only fell silent in silence.

"You don't have to do that." Denis put his spoon on the plate. There is still plenty of food left. Alex looked at the girl with a bit of regret.

"Recycle your food."

"So. You've made my appetite disappear." Denis grunted annoyedly. Alex immediately grabbed the girl's hand.

"I'm sorry. Let's finish your food first. I won't talk anymore." Soft talk.

"I told you I've lost my appetite." Denis pulls his hand from Alex's.

"Come, baby. Ii'm sorry. But you have to eat. I'm a bribe, huh?" Alex held out a spoonful of food to Denis' mouth.

"Alex!" Denis called out quietly. Now they have managed to become the center of attention of the cafeteria visitors. Various kinds of gazes were cast towards them from the visitors who began to arrive.

"Dennis?" Someone was suddenly already near their table. Denis looked quickly.

"Hi! Ricko!" Denis was shocked to see who was there. While Alex leaned his back on the back of the chair and shook his head slowly when he saw who had just disrupted his friendship with Denis.

Alex looked at Denis. The girl seemed to sparkle as she greeted the man who had just arrived.

"Room here?" Denis asked after poking his fist at Ricko.

"Lo remember Fey?"

"Yes? The one with the hair is a long-haired friend of lo one club, right?

"Yes. He was in a malem accident..."

Then Ricko tells the chronology of the accident that befell his friend. Apparently they were racing in an ordinary place, and fate befell his friend when suddenly his bike was racing and lost control until the accident was inevitable.

"Critical condition. His head hit the asphalt and there were some broken bones." Ricko took a deep breath. Seemed very sad about his friend.

Denis clucking. I feel sorry for what happened to my friend Ricko.

"Where can that happen?"

Ricko mentioned the name of the room where his friend was being treated.

"You go back to Reno's room. I'll be there." Denis told Alex. He gets up from his seat and invites Ricko to leave the place immediately without waiting for an answer from Alex.

Alex peeks at Denis who has walked away leaving him with Ricko.

"Dennis.." He called, but the girl had already come out of the cafeteria and moved away leaving her alone there.

"Who's that guy? You're the same every time I meet you." Ricko asked as he stepped on his foot.

"Temen me."

"Temen lo? Heh.." Ricko smiled in anguish. I don't seem to believe Denis' confession. It wasn't once she met Denis. And during her time with Denis, she had never seen Denis interact with a male friend like that. It clearly looks different.

Ricko chuckled softly. It was Denis walking next to him. He's sure there's something between Denis and the guy. But Ricko isn't a kepo mom who's gonna fry the hoax news. He better shut up and respect whatever path his friend takes.

"Where areyou? Why so long? Come back here." Alex called Denis when he waited for nearly an hour in the room where Reno was being treated and the girl had not returned. His anxiety grew as the monitor connected to Reno's body rang rapidly and irregularly.

Alex immediately presses the emergency button to call the officer handling Reno. It didn't take long, the doctors and nurses had already come up with a hasty move.

"Please wait outside." For the second time Alex was thrown out of the room.

Alex restlessly waited in front of Reno's room. Sometimes she squeezed her hair and gave a rough sigh. The person he was waiting for never came. Alex has almost lost his temper. Denis's shadow with Ricko makes him almost crazy.

"Why?" Denis came without feeling guilty at all.

Alex stared deeply at the newly arrived girl.

"Why long?" Ask Alex sharply.

"There's a Jack bang with Nerrow over there. We talk first. The place is not far away. Up here." Denis pointed upwards. "Why part of it? I think girls are PMS." Denis sneered to see Alex who seemed to still show his frustration.

Alex took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Trying to calm himself.

"Reno is critical again. I'm.."

"He's critical again?" Denis cut it off quickly.

"Yes.."

Denis surprised. He sat down next to Alex. Stare at him with regret.

"sorry. I don't know."

Alex breathed again. That's not all he wanted to say to the girl. But he realized, this is not the right time.
