The sun burns everything on the surface of the earth. Patiently each being lives his own life performing his own role which has been outlined by the Almighty. There is no point in complaining about the heat. Life has to keep going. Like it or not. Want it or not, everything has to be lived and enjoyed.
And so did Denis. As powerful as she rejected her destiny, she finally had to realize that she could not choose who to be her parents. He could not deny that Bhishma was his real father.
Surprised and in disbelief at what he had just learned, like a stone upon his chest. It is so hard and painful to accept this reality. But he can't blame anyone right now. Even if he doesn't know his own real father, maybe that's how it should be.
He dreamed of having a father like his other friends. But as time went on, she became accustomed to her life away from the touch of parents. His hard character, has been able to ignore his desire to have a whole family.
The young Denis, who has never been introduced to the meaning of family affection, can only look at the envy of his friends who have the perfect family. But he could not demand to have a whole family for himself. That's very unlikely.
He is currently sitting in the waiting room of the police station where Bisma is being held. I don't know which force from which has brought his footsteps towards that place.
A police officer came to herd a man dressed in orange. After telling Denis how long he could talk to the man he was carrying, the cop left them both. It gives privacy to both.
The man sat down in front of Denis. No words said. He didn't even dare look at Denis. His hands were clinging to each other on the table. He seemed a little nervous when he faced Denis.
"How are you doing?" The man finally opened his voice. Obstruction was clearly imprinted on his disheveled face.
"As you can see." Denis answered.
"I'm happy because you're okay. I'm sorry for accidentally hurting you." Bisma. Find the right words to talk to Denis. Awkwardness. It was very strange to know this masculine girl as her real daughter.
Denis looked at the man with his flat face. Sharp piercing and does not show actual expression. No one knows how he feels right now.
"Tell me that what people say is not true. That you are my real father." Denis' voice was slow but emphatic.
Bisma. There was sadness in his eyes when he heard what Denis said.
"Unfortunately it's true. I'm sorry I let you down."
"Do you feel that I am your child?"
Bhishma swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. His heart was pierced so deeply by the question conveyed in that flat tone. So sad. Especially when remembering that he had twice harmed the girl who was now in front of him.
Had it not been for the grace of the Creator, he would have never seen his daughter forever. As he steadfastly pushed the body into the abyss with Alex, by then he should have lost an unknown daughter altogether.
It was amazing how God brought him to his daughter. Why should it be in such a despicable way? Could it be that this was a punishment for him for already ignoring his family? Even he had no inner bond at all with the girl.
Bisma rubbed the wet corners of her eyes.
"I'm sorry." His his hissing with a trembling voice. "I am guilty of this. I was a jerk and irresponsible father. I don't deserve to get an apology from you and from your mama."
There was not the slightest touch in that short meeting. Even their eyes did not clash for a long time. A cold, expressionless look on Denis' face, made a sneer of Bhishma's guts and dispelled all hope of being able to touch the girl.
Suffice it to be today she was satisfied to be able to meet the girl without her asking for it. There was a lot he wanted to say, but it was all stuck at the end of his tongue.
Denis walked away from the police station feeling indescribable.
The man, who had put himself in the abyss with Alex. That man, the man he always looked for along with Alex because of his evil deeds towards Alex's family. The man, who had already targeted Alex with his weapon in his attempt to kill Alex for the umpteenth time. That bad guy is his real father.
It was getting late afternoon refracting sunlight from behind the clouds that began to loom at the horizon. The chirping of birds in the trees is in rhythm with the twilight wind that blows slowly. The ripples of the lake water glittered in the sunlight that began to decrease its sting.
The figure was still sitting in the same place since more than two hours ago. He just sat still and stared at the lake water with a blank look.
His daydream was jolted when someone dropped the body beside him. He looked at her with sharp eyes. Feeling disturbed by the presence of a handsome man beside him who came suddenly.
Alex throws a rock flat on the surface. But the stone sank to the bottom of the lake.
Curious he got up and walked closer to the edge of the lake. Go back to picking up the stones and throwing them. Again, he did not throw the stone. But a throw from the side managed to amaze him. The stone jumped up and down on the surface of the water several times until far away and only sank while in the middle of the lake.
"Wow.." Alex clapped his hands. "It's amazing."
"What an incredible. Everyone can do that. You can't." Cynic whistles sounding sweet in Alex's ear. He chuckles softly.
"I want to try again. If I manage to do as you do, you'll have to give me a gift."
"Why ask for my gift?" Denis squinted his eyes.
"You should give me a gift."
"It doesn't matter to you." Denis turned her body away from Alex. Alex glanced at him looking at where the tomboy girl was headed. Afraid that the girl would leave him.
Denis, who was sitting with his elbows on both knees, smiled faintly at that.
"seen? I managed. You have to give me a gift." Alex sat down next to Denis. Her smile was so beautiful at both corners of her lips.
"Lo throws you a prize. Find your own gift." Denis ketus.
"OKAY. I'll take my present." Alex smiled meaningfully.
Denis moved his head. He turned his eyes back to the middle of the lake.
Silent for a moment. Both enjoy a peaceful atmosphere.
"I've been looking for you everywhere." Alex broke the silence. The tip of his eye noticed Denis expression.
"You met the man?" Ask later when Denis did not respond to her remarks.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Is it going well?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Have you guys made up?"
"No."
Alex took a breath. He leaned his back against the wooden bench they were sitting on.
"You want me to set him free?"
"Why?"
"Because he's your papa, right?"
"What if he's my papa? He must be responsible for all his crimes. After all, I don't feel that she has a blood relationship with me." His gaze was still straight towards the middle of the lake. There was sadness from the look in his eyes. But he tried hard to cover it up. Only, Alex has already seen it.
"Don't pity me for the bad luck that befell me." Denis glanced at Alex at a glance. He knew that the man was looking at him from the side.
Alex touched Denis' hand.
"Even my life is more concerning." Tukas Alex slowly.
"You must hate that guy so much. He had a big hand in your father's death and has ruined your life."
"I'm very angry with him. But everything that has happened will not be repeated. We just need to live this life and improve ourselves. Maybe forgiveness will make us feel better."
Denis silent. For a moment he looked down. He raised his face again and still threw his gaze far into the middle of the lake.
"You should also start opening your heart to your mother. There is no point in holding a grudge in your heart. It'll just make us lose everything."
Denis did not answer. But Alex could see the girl's lips moving slowly. Perhaps he was biting his own lips withstanding the turmoil in his heart. That means he listens to what Alex has to say and he starts to get affected.
"You haven't felt what it's like to lose a parent. It feels so stifling. I'm even so sorry that they left when I couldn't do anything for them. When they left me, I realized, no matter how bad our parents were, they were still the irreplaceable people in the world. It is through them that we are present in this world."
"Gue never asked to be presented in this world."
"No one asks to be made present in this world. And no one can choose which parents will be our parents in this world. All have been described by the Almighty."
"And yes, if it wasn't for the Bhishma to do that to me, would it be possible that we would be able to meet? It all didn't happen by chance. But someone has arranged it. God has arranged it." Connect Alex.
Denis did not answer. But he listened to all of Alex's words that so permeated his heart. Like an arid desert and get a cooling rainwater flush. That's what Alex said that cooled Denis's heart. Everything he could accept and made his heart soften.
While the sun is falling. The light is getting dimmer. Light lamps replace its function at night which begins to come enveloping.
The night wind from the direction of the lake felt cold to hit the skin. But the two men were still sitting on the edge of the lake for a long time. Enjoying the atmosphere of shahdu that is very soul cradling.
