Sisterzones

Sisterzones
Small alley

Daniel pulls Alia up to arrive at a house located a little away from the alley. The houses in this area are basically almost hidden. The distance between the house with each other is also far apart, while the condition of the house has one thing in common. It looks old with worn wood and chipped paint.

"Eh, it was still hot. But it's getting dark now. It seems like it will rain tonight" Alia chirped as she looked at the sky that was beginning to dim.

"Sister should take a shower first." Daniel took off his grip. His eyes were on one point. Without delay, Daniel headed to that point. He lifted the cardboard box there and turned his body, looking at Alia without saying anything.

"Oh, is it coming? Just bring it in." Alia who could translate the meaning of Daniel's gaze stepped in first after taking off her shoes.

Daniel took the box straight to the kitchen. He opened the box and took out the contents. There are different types of kitchen materials in it. Tea, sugar, oil, and other items. At the very bottom, Daniel raised a small sack of rice wrapped in a dark blue ribbon.

Daniel took off the ribbon and looked at it for a long time before putting it onto the other material. He moved the rice to a larger sack. After that, I just put together other stuff.

"Daniel! Don't throw!"

Daniel was not surprised at all by Alia's sudden cry. He doesn't even have to look. Daniel lifted the dark blue ribbon that was about to be placed in the garbage basket, put it back on the kitchen table.

"Oh, almost. My brother said it repeatedly, right? Don't throw it away." Alia rushed to Daniel's place and grabbed the ribbon quickly.

"Sister's got a lot, right?" Daniel moved the sugar back into place.

"Stay away! I like the color tofu!" alia did not accept.

Daniel turned around for the first time. He had to duck down to be able to stare at Alia who was only as tall as his shoulder. "It's just a regular color ribbon. What a good color it is."

Alia widened her eyes, immediately grabbing Daniel with a towel that was originally hanging on his neck. "If you say that out there, you might get killed instantly. You said what a good color this is? Hey look at you who have the same eyeball color. You want to know how many people wear lenses to have the same eye color as you?"

"Don't you like that color because it's the same color as my eyes?"

Alia let out a tired sigh, started to massage her head and draped the towel around her neck again. Choose not to answer. He put some other food stuff he was carrying in his bag.

"And I prefer dark black as Big Brother's eyes." Daniel leaned against the kitchen table, but his gaze was sharp on Alia's two eyes.

Alia who felt uneasy was stared at that sharp so frowned and turned her head in the other direction. He had no intention of continuing this dispute, so he turned his back and stepped into the bathroom.

"This eye color makes me feel alien."

Alia stopped stepping. He looked over to check Daniel's expression.

It was rare to find Daniel's very rare smile. But no one would want to see that smile now. It was just a slightly raised corner of his lips with dark blue eyes staring blankly at him.

"Don't think strangely, Daniel. We'll talk after Brother finishes his bath. You have to explain why it can be outside on holidays like this." Alia tried to distract Daniel from her thoughts through his fierce gaze. After that he turned around and headed for the bathroom without looking back.

Daniel restores his focus, staring at the bathroom door that was closed violently by Alia. He hurried to finish his work and went straight to the room. Daniel came out again with something in his hand and a book.

The living room was small but clean, filled with two wooden chairs and a table by the window. There is no spectacular view of the windows made of wood either. Only high weeds that Daniel has not had time to prune due to the busyness lately. He put the package he had brought to the table and began to sit down to read the book.

A few minutes passed. Daniel who was very focused on his book still realized Alia's arrival to the living room.

"Do you want to eat now, or tonight?" alia asked who was directly sitting on the chair opposite to Daniel.

Daniel raised his head. Instead of answering the question, Daniel shifted his chair toward Alia. He took Alia's right hand and ripped the package on the table.

"Oh, you can be alone." Alia had intended to pull out her hand, but before that, Daniel had already strengthened his grip.

"Shut up first" said Daniel casually. He opened the lid of the petroleum jelly that was previously in the package.

Alia's eyes widened. "Well, what the fuck? You bought this? Daniel's! The money is worth more to buy snacks for you outside than to buy stuff like this!"

"It's not that expensive."

"Stay away! It is not very much used everyday. It's not filling either," Alia's protest still didn't accept.

"Sister Alia is too careless. Yesterday the day after tomorrow, Brother also almost cut his own finger. Last week, it almost split a leg. That time too-"

"Stop! Stopit! No need to continue." Alia flicked her hands with a flushed face of embarrassment.

Daniel finished applying the petroleum jelly. He took a gauze and bandaged it against Alia's wound. Daniel just took off Alia's hand after it was done. Although it did not change his expression, his dark blue eyes showed satisfaction.

"Gee... So neat. In this case, you could be a doctor or at least a nurse. Or whatever it is that's health-related." Alia raised her hand covered in gauze and looked at him in admiration.

"What does that look of yours mean?" hiss Alia fierce.

"Don't get exposed to water. The fabric must also be routinely replaced." Daniel switched the conversation.

Alia grunting. "That brother knows too. Just now after cleaning, the hands were raised this high so as not to get soap." Alia showed her how to raise her hand.

"Difficult, right?"

"Yes tent-"

"Will you go through that alley again?" cut Daniel cold.

Alia pursed her lips, turning her gaze out the window. "Oh look, the night seems to come faster. It's dark now."

Daniel took a breath. "Although in a hurry though, Big Brother shouldn't have gone through that alley."

"But you know for yourself how hot it was. That's why it's so thick now. It will rain." Alia tried to defend herself.

"That gap is rarely passed by people. The place is also quiet. As it happened, there were many people who abused the place to get drunk. Brother hasn't heard, has he? He said they also harassed women there. I warned you never to go through that alley again. When you go to work or home. If you need to arrive at that time. Don't try to get through there." Daniel stared straight, leaving no room to play around.

Alia fell silent. He could not look at Daniel's serious face with anger. He realized his mistake this time. Regarding the bad things from the alley, Alia already knew everything. But just because of a small push, he decided to cut a path through the place and ignore the risk of danger. Alia originally thought that nothing big would happen during the day like that. Suppose Daniel does not come on time, he is sure that he will get not just a scratch on the palm of the hand. It could even take away his honor.

Alia shuddered as she realized that last thing. He did not dispute or comment further. That was his recklessness.

"Sorry," he said. Alia looked up and smiled knotingly. "Thank you too. Good thing you came by."

Daniel could not sustain his anger any further after seeing Alia's gentle smile. He just shook his head slowly and relaxed his sharp gaze.

"Will not pass through that place again. Okay?"

"Promise!" Alia welcomes the spirit.

"For ever?"

"No. Until the place is safe," replied Alia with a smile not to be outdone.

Daniel sighed, not discussing further. He will only rise when he realizes the changed face of Alia.

"Oh, Daniel. By the way, how could you happen to pass through that place as well?" Alia asked while glaring. His gentle smile became a cruel grin.

"I want to cut the road. The usual road is too far. That way, it's faster" replied Daniel lightly.

"cheat!" Alia pointed out not to accept.

"No cheating. I have the ability to take care of myself if they want to bother me. They won't be interested in men anyway. That can't be Brother." Daniel replied, not to lose.

"Then Brother will learn martial arts as well."

"That's not necessary. Still risky" Daniel refused. He stood up from his chair and kept the book and the package of drugs.

Alia held Daniel away. "There's something important that's forgotten too."

"What?"

"You said you wanted to cut the road. You from outside? A day? Don't you remember what you ordered?" Alia showed great anger.

Daniel widened his eyes. Sipping nervous saliva. He remembered he shouldn't have offended that. Alia forbade him from going out on holidays like this. That's because Alia knows exactly what she's going to do on this day.

"Want to cut off the road so you can go home soon? Don't you have done this repeatedly after knowing Brother's work schedule? You went through that alley so that Brother wouldn't know about your activities secretly all this time?" Alia asked in a high tone.

Daniel took his hand off the package and the book, immediately darting away before Alia continued to hold back and interrogate him.

"Daniel!" shout Alia.

"I'm gonna take a shower." Daniel's voice sounded small.

Alia nodded her half-dry head. "How do I explain to her that it's also very dangerous huh?"
