The address that Daniel and Alia were going to was a deserted cafe. Though for size, this place can accommodate dozens of visitors.
"It should be in this place, but why is it so quiet?" ask Alia astonished. He lowered his car glass.
Daniel more or less understood the reason for the lack of visitors here, so chose to keep quiet. The empty parking lot made it easy for Daniel to arrange his car. "Don't open the car door."
The new Alia will push the door when the car engine is turned off. He stared at the confusion. Daniel got out shortly, then circled the car and opened Alia's door.
"Jeez, this is how big brother can be alone." Alia shook her head tiredly, assuming this was an exaggerated action.
"Still five minutes from your appointment. If it's exactly three o'clock and it turns out he hasn't come, go straight out. We're going home" Daniel said.
Alia scratched her cheek. "Are you not in?"
"Huh.this is, right, dating. How can I get in and interrupt?"
Alia nodded in understanding.
"And also, give a message if after entering, the man has come. As a man, he should have come early. It'll ruin my judgment on her later." Daniel crossed his arms in front of his chest while leaning against the car. "I'll wait here."
Alia nodded with a faint smile, intending from the very beginning to directly send out her message, there was or was no Kevin. Alia stepped slowly away from Daniel, heading towards the entrance of the cafe.
A servant greeted him with a big smile, making Alia a little clumsy. The waiter continued to drive him inside, to the table with the best view where a man was already sitting there.
"Hi, Kevin," said Alia.
Kevin looked quickly and immediately stood up. In accordance with her preparation and training, she should now lead Alia to her seat gently. But as if bewitched, Kevin was glued until he forgot to close his mouth.
Alia flicked her hands in front of her face, hoping that Kevin would regain consciousness. "Are you okay?"
Kevin gasped in surprise. "Eh, ah, yes. Sorry."
Alia smiled a little. Makes Kevin's face flushed.
"I-i forgot. Please sit down." Kevin directs Alia, trying to give her best.
"You're too stiff. Act as usual." Alia smiled soothingly.
Kevin smiled, then looked down. His voice turned a little sad. "Sorry, if it bothers you. Looks like I'm the only one who thinks it's kind of our pre-date. I mean, 'cause we're not official yet, so it's like that."
Alia laughed softly. "I also think of it that way. That's why I changed my appearance a little. What say?"
"Very pretty. You're so many times sweeter" said Kevin quickly. His ears are red. "More than you did it to meet me. I'm, very happy."
Alia laughed lightly again. The man in front of him was not trying to cover up his liking at all. Alia felt it was an interesting thing from Kevin.
"I-I like you, Alia."
Again.
Suddenly and there was no doubt at all. Kevin looked at Alia with his red face and said the sentence once again. Admittedly, Alia was impressed. Although his voice was still slightly trembling, Kevin showed good courage and determination.
Alia smiled faintly, her cheeks slightly blushing. "Thank you."
A second later Alia's face returned firmly. "But I'm sorry, Kevin. I can't say the same to you yet."
Kevin nodded, already able to guess that answer. Of all the basic knowledge about romance, a woman who is in love should change her attitude to be more gentle to the person she likes. But Alia was still the same woman. Awesome tough woman. Although still not accepted, Kevin remains happy because now, Alia more often smile and laugh with him.
"Two or three more meetings, how about?" kevin asked a little doubt.
Alia thought for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, two or three more meetings, maybe."
Kevin smiled happily. He still has time and opportunity.
Some waiters came to them and brought drinks and food. "It's the best menu in our cafe."
Kevin nodded kindly and thanked me. The servants left with happy smiles.
"Ah, so it's like sitting in a customer's seat" Alia said. Recalling when he was working at WR Coffee.
Alia tilted her head. "How can it be the same?"
"That I feel the same. Stunned, impressed, fascinated. You're that's amazing." Kevin smiled back.
"Your words are so sweet" said Alia. Now he was quite used to the compliment. Aslan, Riki, and Edward would often offer similar compliments whenever Alia cooked food for them.
"I also want to apologize." Kevin looked at Alia with a guilty look. "On what happened that night. Really, because of me you've been through that terrible thing. Miss Wilda told me the details of the incident. I feel so useless, sorry."
Alia thought this topic was over when Kevin contacted her that day. But this man still seemed to feel responsible for what Alia had experienced that night.
"I'm already okay. It wasn't your fault. I asked to go down there myself, right?" alia Tukas.
"But if I hadn't told you that it was safe, you would have stayed through your usual alley and would have been fine." Kevin still insisted. "You've moved to Central City like this and stopped working at WR Coffee."
Alia propped up her chin on the table while smiling. "Even if it didn't happen, I would still move here that night. My sister will…"
Alia's eyes instantly widened. He forgot to send a message to Daniel. Kevin looked on with a worried look as Alia was busy looking for her phone.
"What's wrong?"
"Wait, sec. Sorry Kevin." Alia cursed herself. It wasn't that he was determined to give Daniel a message as soon as he got inside. How could he forget like this? He had not had time to type a message, there was a commotion at the entrance of the cafe.
"Sorry, you can't go in for now. This place is booked."
"Is this enough to pay for everything?"
Alia panicked when she heard Daniel's voice. He got up from his seat and stepped quickly towards the commotion. The confused Kevin immediately followed, ignoring the pain in his heart when he knew Alia had just left.
A servant was standing in confusion with a check paper in his hand. He was obviously surprised by the number listed there. His face showed concern. Compared to the price given by Kevin to ask for full rights to the cafe for the next few hours, the amount listed on the check paper exceeded twice that.
"Daniel," cried Alia. "What are you doing?"
Daniel turned his head towards him, but his focus was shifted to Kevin following Alia from behind.
Kevin was stunned when he saw Daniel. Even for a man like him, he could see Daniel's incredible charisma, let alone that he looked younger than Kevin himself. He looked straight at Daniel who stepped closer to him, ignoring Alia by the side.
"Oh, I thought you weren't coming. Looks like it'd be better if we got acquainted, don't you think?" Daniel smiled coldly. "My name is Dani-"
"Kevin Reegan's. Alia's boyfriend." Kevin cut and raised his hand first. He tries not to be swallowed by the piercing aura and pressure Daniel exerts on him.
Daniel's face changed. But in a moment it came back again. He put on a slanted smile. He welcomed Kevin's hand. "Daniel Anggara, Alia's lover."
Kevin looked surprised while Alia frowned and prepared to deny. Daniel laughed softly. "Handering. I'm his sister."
"So you're Kevin? By the way, you are confident that you can take my brother's heart. Oh, I forgot to say thank you. Thank you for taking my sister away at that time. He's all right now. The cut on his forehead has healed, too" Daniel continued.
Kevin did not take issue with Daniel's initial remarks. He looks panicked when he finds out Alia is hurt. "You hurt? Why didn't you say?"
Kevin moved involuntarily and grabbed Alia's hair covering her forehead. Her fingers touched gently, making Alia slightly flushed. "Gosh, until it's this way."
"Yes, that's how it is." Daniel quickly removes Kevin's hand from Alia's forehead. "So, are you guys done? Can we go home now, brother?"
Alia felt she could not answer that. But Daniel moved further and further.
"I'll pay for everything, you can take back your money. Me and Brother Alia will be gone now." Daniel doesn't want to be here much longer.
Kevin sighed, then shook his head. "That's not necessary. I will bear it. I can't keep Alia here much longer. He's willing to come, I'm happy and grateful."
Kevin stepped closer to Alia. "Sorry, Al. You can hate me after this."
Kevin landed a kiss on Alia's forehead. Not directly because it was covered in strands of black hair. But it was more than enough to make Alia meet red. Especially after Kevin whispered in his ear.
"I love you, Alia."
Alia stunned. Not to like anymore, but to love. Moreover, Kevin stated this with a firmness that sounded sweet in Alia's ears.
The servants who witnessed it also met and stared in envy. Only one person doesn't seem to like it. Daniel looked at Kevin intently as if he was about to tear the man into pieces. But he said nothing and immediately pulled Alia away.
