Felix Report

Rafka flinched as someone knocked on her study door. He rubbed his face, trying to get rid of sleepiness. Once again Rafka fell asleep in her study. He stared at his door, ordering everyone outside to come in.

The door opened, revealing Felix who entered with his trademark smile. "I'm bringing you the latest report, Mr. Rafka."

Rafka nodded, asking Felix to speak while he listened. Rafka once looked at the clock, it had been two hours he took a nap. The night is still too young, but for Rafka who does not know the regularity of sleep time, this is not a big problem.

"There's three pieces of information we got, Mr. Rafka." Felix starts to break down and puts some files on Rafka's desk. "First, we managed to get the latest news about the man, Daniel Anggara. This man was with the same woman at the airport five years ago."

Felix tries to calm down, though every time he reports to Rafka, fear looms over him. This report included one that was quite crucial to him. He always knew Rafka had his silver revolver in the drawer behind that table.

"What about the identity of the woman? Got it?" Rafka stared at some of the photos that were among the files.

"His name is Alia Redalia, Daniel's brother Anggara" Felix replied.

Rafka put the pictures back on. The photo was taken from afar, but it was enough to get the facial characters of two people standing on a canal bridge. Rafka Now hit Felix with a sharp gaze that was able to attract the warmth of the place, making Felix tremble a little. "In the five years I gave you, only now do you report this. Is it that hard to find the identity of this woman?"

Felix gulped. "Master, forgive me. This woman named Alia seems to have a supporter that should be counted. It was very difficult to find the background of this ordinary-looking woman. He used to work for a cafe called WR Coffee, before a few days ago moved here. Stay with Daniel Anggara."

"Explain more about them" Rafka ordered.

"Daniel Anggara and Alia Redalia are brothers. Even so, we are still investigating whether they are really siblings. Alia's parents Astrid and Ezra both died and she became the backbone at the age of nineteen." Felix took a breath, waiting for Rafka to comment.

"The identity of the woman's parents is clear, while the man only follows because of his status as a brother. But just this way, their brother's status was enough to be doubted. How old is Daniel now?"

At the age that is no longer young, Rafka is still a figure that is so sharp.

"It is twenty-three years old now. We also think so, so the search for it has still not been stopped." Felix quietly breathed a sigh of relief, feeling Rafka was still showing a positive response.

"When it happened fifteen years ago, he was eight years old. It's a coincidence." Rafka is counting fast, thinking of all the possibilities. "This kid seems quite capable at his young age. You reported earlier about the company he built. Isn't the company's potential big enough?"

Felix nodded quickly. "really. Their latest products had penetrated the market and sales can be said to exceed our market products that have existed for many years. And not just a trend, but actually reaching the market widely."

"With her departure here, how did she manage her company overseas?"

"It looks like Daniel's about to turn his company's axis here, sir. The production there is still running, but at the same time, the company is also being developed quickly here" explained Felix.

Rafka smiled coldly. "Even if his face doesn't look like Alex's bastard, he's still a dangerous business rival."

Felix nodded in agreement, more so as to make Rafka not offended.

"You're saying someone's a supporter of Alia? Has it been checked?" ask Rafka, open the other file.

"That will relate to the second information I'm conveying." Felix caught his breath and voice. "This relates to another company focused on the Western City, sir. We are again dealing with PT Wibijayasana."

Rafka raised one eyebrow, feeling interested. Alexan Group, the company he created is actually a combination of several large industries that cover many fields. Although all is just a big cover to cover the dark world that he controls, still the existence of each industry is quite vital.

Not many obstacles that Rafka went through during the run were all alone in these decades. However, lately something has caught his attention. That was because there were some obstacles that occurred specifically in the Western City. The problem is always related to this PT Wibijayasana. But the strength of his company can be reckoned with, so Rafka has to intervene alone to overcome it without violence.

"You've investigated this company?" asked Rafka in a cold tone.

"What is Bramasta Wibijayasana? Not Bramasta Wibisana?" Rafka cutting fast. In his eyes was a flash of emotion.

Felix was a little surprised. "really. Bramasta Wibijayasana."

"Investigate that" Rafka ordered. He linked his fingers on the table with a blank look. "Wibisana. Just like Alex Wibisana. I've never heard of Bramasta, but she could be related."

Felix could not comment that Rafka was overdoing it, but he nodded. Promise to carry it out.

"Astrid's. I think I've heard this name too. Yeah, this guy who's always been called Rinda, back then." A terrible smile formed on Rafka's lips. "Tell me the third information."

"We found Asmarinda's daughter, sir."

Rafka looked up quickly. Hazel's eyes widened. "Don't play around with that information, Felix. You know joking with me isn't gonna produce good things."

Felix nodded his head bowed, his hands outstretched to point at a single file that Rafka had not yet opened. "We did find him, but that's it. He disappeared again, we lost track of him again."

Rafka quickly tore the file and took the scattered photos. A photo of a woman in her forties who was staring right ahead with her sharp golden amber eyes.

Wait, staring ahead, staring at the camera?

A slanted smile formed on Rafka's face. From these photos, all have similarities. Asmarinda, or Rinda, always looks right at the camera. As if they knew someone was trying to take a picture of him secretly.

"He did it intentionally. Intentionally show themselves." Rafka started laughing softly. His heart was beating very fast without him knowing the exact cause.

"He was seen around WR Coffee, the same place Alia worked. Other news, WR Coffee will open its branch in Central City for the first time after being very successful in Western City" added Felix.

That speech made Rafka pause for a moment. After that his smile grew and he started laughing loudly. "I understand everything. Aye! Like those. Everything is related."

Felix stunned. Just this time he saw Rafka laughing like that. A satisfaction sounded very clear in that laughter. Still, Felix's feelings remain uncomfortable.

"You did your job well, Felix. The five years I've given you you are doing well. Goody. This time I'm going to make another big plan. You can go now." Rafka clapped his little hands.

Felix for the first time felt a great relief in his chest. This time he was safe. Felix quickly says goodbye and leaves immediately, worried that Rafka's emotions will become unstable again, or that her words were mere sarcasm.

Rafka sees Felix closing the door behind him, leaving Rafka there. Rafka stared at Rinda's photo once again, this time with a bitter smile that she never showed anyone.

"In the end you chose to face me again."

Rafka stared blankly ahead, remembering her dream while asleep earlier.

Big fire and gunfire. A steep mountain road. The car burned. A limping man and a revolver in Rafka's hands are used to kill the man.

It was just pieces from his deepest memories. Even so, he remembered the entire incident more when he was in this state of consciousness.

The most satisfying murder he has ever committed and the most stifling quest he has ever had. Rafka hates having to remember, but he won't be able to forget that day.

Fifteen years ago, the day he killed Alex Wibisana.
