Chapters 12. Cantul Gang Banquet

In a room within the headquarters of the Leopard Gang, all of the core members gathered together with Liam. They sat together around a long table with sumptuous dishes on it.

The atmosphere of silence was so felt when they were eating the food in front of each. Only the clinking of spoons and forks clashed with plates. Among them was a man who lost his appetite.

Niki simply stirred the cream of the corn soup in her bowl using a spoon. Sadness enveloped the heart of the thick-bodied man. A few hours ago, Niki got word that Miki was gone.

"Kiki!" call Liam with his baritone voice.

Niki jerks. He looked towards Liam who was now looking at him sharply. Liam took a sip of the water in the glass, then walked up to Niki.

"You know, will the consequences and rules that are in the Leopard Gang?" liam asked while patting Niki on the shoulder.

"Know, sir."

"So, you know what made us ask the nurse to inject potassium chloride into Miki's body?"

"Because my brother failed a mission, and got caught by the police, sir." Niki bowed lethargic.His jaw hardened with fingers clenched firmly under the table.

"This is also a form of warning to all of you! Don't get caught, and do it carefully. Remember, I raised your degrees and funded all the gang's operations! So, all of you must always obey what I have commanded!"

Liam stared intently one by one the members of the Leopard Gang. Everyone agreed to Liam's words while bowing down in fear, except Toni. The tattooed man actually inserted his little finger into the ear hole, then blew the dirt that stuck there.

"Toni, are you underestimating me?" asked Liam because he did not like to see the attitude of Toni who he considered rude.

"Ah, sorry. Looks like I need to clean my ears right away because my hearing's getting interrupted."

Liam whose emotions were ignited walked quickly towards Toni, then clutched the collar of the man's shirt. The roar of his breath swept the skin of the face of the former NAPI. However, what Liam did was not able to make Toni's guts shrink.

Toni smiled as she looked at the man before her. "Did you forget how I got rid of that sissy guy? Do you want to end up like him?"

Liam tightened his jaw until the sound of teeth clashing against each other. The veins around his eyes and neck were very prominent, as if representing the anger he wanted to suppress Toni. Usman finally intervened. He pulled Liam's arm slowly.

"Sir, patience. We can't be like this. If there is a fight, then all our plans are in vain!"

"Remember your purpose, sir. Became Metropolitan Mayor for two terms and then ran for President!" Usman tried to remind again the main purpose of Liam, why ask all members of the Leopard Gang to move to the Metropolitan City.

"But I don't like his attitude!" Liam glanced at Toni while eye-nashing.

"Didn't he always behave as he pleases, sir? But he is the brain of the Leopard Gang. Without Toni, we're not the Leopard Gang."

"Okay, this time I'll be patient with you, Ton! Next time, please appreciate me a little!"

Liam tidied up his suit and then walked out of the room. After Liam disappeared behind the door. Niki kicked the table. Now the whole group's eyes are on Niki.

"Why are you again, Nik?" asked Usman while rolling his eyeballs.

"I want out of Liam's game!"

"Are you crazy!" shout Choky.

"Who's crazy now? Me or you! You all have the heart to agree to his decision to kill Miki!" Niki's eyes started to turn red.

"He should have received that punishment!" Choky pulled out her fangs again.

"We were not like this! We can still save Miki's life with a vote! If only that time you asked to vote, surely Miki could be saved! But you guys just shut up!" shout Niki. His chest rose up and down because of his fiery anger.

Shortly after, there was a gunshot. The entire room was silent. They looked at what was happening before their eyes.

"It's very noisy" said Toni and then blew the tip of the gun.
