The Dark Side of a Judge

The Dark Side of a Judge
Chapter 23. Self-surrender

The next day, Ferdi immediately visited Tito's house. He went there according to the plan Makutha had made. Now he, Tito, and his wife sit together at the dinner table and eat breakfast in silence. There was no conversation between them.

Tito was thinking of how to reveal his crimes this time. Ferdi thought the same thing. He intends to help his best friend explain to Maudy, the crime they committed some time ago.

"Why does your face look so tense?" asked Maudy when she felt the awkwardness.

Usually Ferdi and Tito will talk a lot about their childhood when they get together. The two have been friends since childhood until now. Maudy until memorized outside their habit head. Ferdi and Tito just stared at each other. As if telepathically sending each other.

Tito raised his head at a glance as if asking, "How is this?"

Ferdi nodded his head straight. Tito cleared his throat several times then looked at his wife. He clasped Maudy's fingers while gulping a rough saliva.

"Yes, actually today ...."

"I already know everything, Mas," Maudy cut.

"What do you know?" asked Ferdi with wide eyes.

"You ... have lost someone's life unintentionally, right? Besides, you two also fucked the girl. I know everything." Maudy's eyes were hot, but she held back her tears from spilling.

"Why do you know, Yang?" tanya Tito was nervous.

Tito. So too with Ferdi. The two did not think that it turned out that Maudy already knew the case that befell them.

"Two days after that incident, Mr. Makutha actually met me. He told me everything." Maudy exhaled a rough breath while trying to smile, even though her jaw was stiff.

"I support you if you give yourself up. I'm not pa-pa, Mas. I'll follow all Makutha's plans. After Mas Tito gets out of prison, we go home and start a new life."

"But if I don't survive how, Yang?" Tito's eyes began to glaze over.

"I'm sincere. I will raise our child as best I can. I will always pray for you, Mom. I think good intentions will be welcome with good things as well. You're the spirit, aren't you?"

Tito's heart was squeezed. That moment he was conscious too. His mistake during this time probably would not be worth the punishment he would receive. He started to get out of the chair and hugged his wife.

"I'm sorry, because I can't be a good husband to you yet, Yang."

Maudy's tears escaped immediately. It was as if a large stone was blocking his throat. He could only nod in response to all of Tito's words.

It is not only the husband and wife who feel bad. Ferdi felt the same way. Tears began to pool in his sense of sight.

"Are you ready?" makutha asked with a sharp look.

Tito and Ferdi nodded simultaneously. Both hearts were ready to surrender. In addition, they also intend to reveal the crimes of the Leopard Gang as well as Liam.

"Ah, let me clean up the house first, sir."

"alright. Tell you what, I'll take them to the police station while you clean up. After that, I'll come back to pick you up and Hasna."

"Good, sir."

Makutha, Tito, and Ferdi say goodbye. The three headed straight for the car. Throughout the journey they discussed many things. Makutha did not want to ask about the Leopard Gang. He positions himself as a friend of Tito and Ferdi for both to be comfortable with.

This is evidenced by Ferdi and Tito's relaxed and carefree attitude. Not like criminals in general. They both believed the judge completely. Every now and then his third laugh broke out as he threw jokes at each other.

Arriving at the police station, Ferdi and Tito went straight to the complaint section. When they are checked by the officers, Arjun comes out of his office and calls Makutha.

"Can we talk for a second?" whispered Arjun to him.

Makutha only glanced at Arjun at a glance then tailed behind the man. The two of them walked towards the police station. Upon reaching the room, Makutha and Arjun begin to talk.

"How can they be with you?" asked Arjun with wide eyes.

"How, huh? Do you need to know the details?" Makutha smiled obliquely as she raised one of her eyebrows.

"Bu-not that I mean. I'm ...." Arjun's words hang in the air as Makutha cuts off his conversation.

"I have doubts about the police!" makutha exclaimed while leaning towards Arjun.

The middle-aged man looked at Makutha. His eyes moved irregularly as if losing focus. A second later Arjun turned his face away.

"What do you mean, Tha?"

"Where is the threat letter of the Leopard Gang located!" makutha shouted while pounding the table.

Arjun was silent. He rubbed his face roughly then leaned his back on the head of the sofa. The man took a deep breath then exhaled it violently.

"The letter ...."
