Chapter 40. Liam's Screenplay

A foreign man riding a sport bike suddenly stopped in front of Farhan's official house. The man came down from his iron horse, then took out a large piece of stone from inside the bag. He carried the stone while walking a few steps, approaching Farhan's residence.

When the distance was only a few meters, the man immediately threw the stone without hesitation to hit the glass window. After launching the action, he immediately tancap gas left the house.

On the other hand, Makutha and Farhan came straight out of the house when the boulder smashed the window glass. Unfortunately, they failed to know who the stone thrower was. The two could only see the back of the perpetrator who was starting to move away.

"Damn!" swear Makutha while punching the air.

"Calm down, Tha. I memorized the motor plate!" exclaim Farhan.

"Good then." Makutha was able to calm down a little after hearing Farhan's words.

They also went back into the house. When paying attention to the stone thrown by the rider, it turns out there is a paper attached to the surface. The paper contained a threat.

This is the last warning!

Makutha and Farhan cast glances at each other. Farhan gulped roughly, while Makutha squeezed the frustrated hair.

"How, Han? You can still retreat now" said Makutha lethargic.

"It's okay, Tha. I told you I'm ready to accept all the risks!" farhan said with complete confidence.

Farhan immediately contacted SAMSAT to find out who the owner of the motor vehicle that had attacked them. After getting the identity of the owner of the motorbike, Makutha and Farhan rush to the owner's home address. In addition, they also asked for help from several other police members to track the whereabouts of the motorbike through PTZ CCTV (a surveillance camera installed to monitor traffic on the highway, which is also used to track the motorbike, usually at crossroads).

Liam patted the shoulder of a middle-aged man who was before him. They are now in a slum near the Metropolitan Municipality's suburban garbage dump. The man who was with Liam was Jali. One of the most respected former thugs in the region.

"I'm actually sick of having to keep doing dirty things to avoid that damn judge!" liam's Ogot.

Jali who was still watching Liam from a distance narrowed her eyes. His jaw immediately hardened. If it wasn't for the money, Jali wouldn't be willing to do Liam's orders. After the mayor left, the man spat.

I don't know why Jali does not accept Liam's arbitrary attitude because he has power. Without him noticing that very second, the man held a grudge for the Mayor.

When he was about to leave his place, Jali's ears caught someone's voice. Yes, she was Makutha who was shouting calling her full name.

"Sir Rojali!"

Jali glanced over, then took a swing to run. As soon as Makutha and Farhan prepared to approach, Jali immediately took a thousand steps. The man had to go through the muddy streets in order to escape from the pursuit of two people behind him.

The clattering of steps that collided with the wet ground, making the gray solid water splashed in all directions. The atmosphere of the slum residence that was originally quiet, now began to look crowded. The three of them became a spectacle of the entire citizens.

"Sir, stop! Let's talk good!" makutha shouted in the middle of her breath that felt almost broken.

Farhan decides to split from Makutha in search of a shortcut. He was intending to head Jali off from the front. The chase lasted nearly thirty minutes. Until finally the three of them were in a dead end alley.

Makutha stops right behind Jali. While Farhan who had found a shortcut, managed to block the man from the front. Jali can't escape anymore. However, on the other hand he was actually running the scenario ordered by Liam.

"I'm giving up."
