The Dark Side of a Judge

The Dark Side of a Judge
Chapters 2. Assault

Makutha stepped out of the car while watching the circular watch in her hand. While waiting for the elevator to open, a thin man wearing a mask approached, then took a position to stand by her. Makutha glanced at him at a glance, then stepped inside the elevator after the door opened.

The foreigner got into the elevator, and stood right next to Makutha. The handsome judge frowned then pulled out his vibrating phone inside the pocket of his pants. Several reports of missed calls appeared on the flat screen. Even a Whatsapp message came in 30 minutes ago.

[Utha, aren't you pa-pa?]

The message from her mother made her smile. Jemari Makutha started running over the screen to reply to the mother's message. However, just typing a few words, suddenly his phone again vibrated.

"Hello, Bun."

"Where are you?"

"I was in the elevator to the office. Why, Bun?"

"Mother's feeling is not good! Are you really pa-pa?"

"Yes, Mother. Utha is not pa-"

Makutha felt in her stomach. When he looked up at the stomach, he fell wide. A knife now stuck in his stomach. Unknowingly he held his breath. The man who was next to her had now moved in front of her.

Blood started to wash down the floor. Makutha squinted her eyes trying to find out who the man behind the mask was. He growls.

"Who are you! If anyone tells you, who is it! You wimps!" makutha exclaimed while holding the foreign man's arm with one hand.

The man just squinted his eyes and then pulled the knife back from Makutha's stomach. Now the handsome judge felt tremendous pain in the part of his stomach that was pierced. Makutha's gaze began to blur. He fell unconscious.

The scent of Makutha's blood and perfume mixed into one inside the elevator. The sound of the elevator. The door of the narrow room was open. Now some people in front of Makutha just fell silent, trying to digest the gripping sight before them.

The person who stabbed Makutha immediately ran towards the emergency stairs. The female employees who watched Makutha's body fall limp with blood screamed hysterically. While the male employees rushed after the perpetrator. Some of them called an ambulance.

There was the sound of panicked cries of the Pendant from the phone still held by Makutha. A mother's feelings are never wrong. Pendant's concerns proved. His son is in real danger. Even now it is helpless because it was attacked by strangers.

"Makuta! Answer Mother! Why you!"

The sound of ambulance sirens roared through the streets of the Metropolitan City. The white car drove as fast as the wind, splitting the road that was crowded with motor vehicles. Without command, the passing private cars pulled over by themselves.

However, the ambulance driver's panic intensified when a black Mercy car in front of him would not give them any way. The car arrogantly ruled the streets of the Capital's arteries.

"Shear over, sir!" shouted a male nurse who was sitting beside him.

"Can't! He's blocking the way! Every time I want to overtake him, that car gets in the way!"

"Damn! Then just hit it!" shouted the nurse.

"You crazy?"

The man in the white uniform was annoyed. He finally grabbed a loudspeaker and spoke through it to get the car in front of him to give way.

"Car with L 1 AM plate, please give way to us. Of emergency! We're bringing a dying patient!"

Instead of moving and giving way. The car stopped suddenly, until the ambulance driver slammed the steering wheel and grazed the motorcyclist beside him.

"From him!" the ambulance driver then got out of the car.

He immediately stepped towards the car, then banged on the glass of the expensive car. When the car's glass was lowered, a middle-aged man looked at him cynically.

"Sir, are you deaf? What ambulance sirens can't you hear?" ask the ambulance driver in a very upset voice.

"I was just doing my job" said the man haughty, without turning to the ambulance driver.

"You can be prosecuted for doing this, sir!"

"Who dares to sue me? Say it!"

The ambulance driver turned towards the source of the sound coming from the passenger seat. Instantly he was wide-eyed after realizing who was sitting quietly there. The young man who had an oriental face and was wearing a neat suit looked at him cynically while folding his arms in front of his chest.

"P-Pak Mayor!"
