The Dark Side of a Judge

The Dark Side of a Judge
Chapter 4. Recidivist

Makutha listened to every word that came out of Arjun's lips. However, Makutha's countenance suddenly changed. He's wide-eyed. His fingers clenched firmly and his jaw hardened.

"Damn!" the handsome judge was full of emotion.

Makutha instantly turned off the phone and slammed it roughly into the bed. The man who initially looked weak, now looked full of anger and excitement. Makutha's chest of kembis held back the burst of emotions that burst in her heart.

"Tha, what's wrong with you?" ask Pendant panic.

"Today's trial is fucked!" Makutha rubbed the face rough then restored her black hair.

"How's your problem?" asked Hasna while linking her eyebrows together.

"That damn judge exonerated the accused!"

"tha, patience. There will be a time ...."

"Hasna, stop your babbling!" snapped Makutha.

Sontak Hasna was silent. The girl immediately grabbed her lips and bit her inside. His eyes were hot and began to condense. His gaze was blurred as the crammed tears wanted to come out from hiding. Hasna's heart was so painful to hear Makutha's scream.

"Okay, I'll shut up! But, never ask for my opinion again! Don't you ever come to me!" Hasna stared intently at Makutha before turning right, and ran out of the room.

Makutha's mother shook her head, then approached her son. Don't forget he grabbed the son's fingers. Pendant rubs gently the back of Makutha's hand.

"Utha, why are you talking like that to Hasna? Poor him ...." The Pendant's greeting hung in the air because Makutha cut it off.

"Bun, I've been waiting for this for years. Once I can capture one of the Leopard Gang, Viko just destroys it!"

"Mother knows how you feel. But ...."

"Mother, can I ask you a favor?"

Makutha again cuts off the mother's words. He looked solemnly at his mother, followed by a nod of the Pendant.

"Please leave me alone."

"Tha, never decide something in an emotional state. Mother went after Hasna, huh? Call your mom if you need anything." Pendant smiled knot then came out of IGD.

As soon as the mother left, Makutha again grabbed her phone and contacted the chairman of the District Court where she worked. On the second waiting note, his call was raised.

"Hello, how you doing?" ask Mr. Adli with a tone full of concern.

"Good, Chief. I want to ask you about my trial today. Why did you pass the case to Viko?"

"Oh, he's the only one we can rely on right now. Moreover, he was the only judge involved in your investigation process from the very beginning. So, I think he knows exactly what he's supposed to do."

"But he's screwed up all the investigations I've been doing for the past two months!" makutha exclaims in frustration.

"Just calm. I'm sure after this Ferdi will also commit another heist. He's recidivist! Let's just wait, and keep an eye on that guy!"

"Till when else will I have to wait, sir!" Makutha hit the bed again with her fist.

"Does you remember why I still want to stay in the District Court that Mr. Adli presided over?" Makutha tries to corner her boss.

In fact, within the scope of the District Court, only Mr. Adli was aware of Makutha's intention to stay in the Court of First Instance. He had several offers to be transferred to the High Court and even the Supreme Court. However, Makutha always rejected him firmly.

"Are you threatening a Chief? Remember, I am in charge of the selection of things you will handle! That's why you can handle the case of Leopard Gang members! I don't like being threatened! So just shut up and do what you're supposed to do!"

Phone connection disconnected. Makutha screamed in annoyance then squeezed out her own hair. The man hit the head so that the annoyance that reaches the crown can be slightly reduced.

Shortly thereafter, a text message from Mr. Arjun entered Makutha's phone. The man was wide-eyed when he saw the row of letters that were plastered on the flat object screen.

[The person who attacked you has been caught!]
