Chapter 53. Baby Blues

The sound of crying babies was heard in a special room. The baby seemed to be sad because it had just been left by the mother forever. Maudy was pronounced dead shortly after giving birth to her daughter.

Hasna stared at the beautiful baby nanar from outside the big glass window. Her tears trickled knowing that Maudy had to die because of heavy bleeding due to the accident they had yesterday.

"I promise I will take care of you like a child myself" Hasna said in a trembling voice.

"Na," called Makutha who was standing next to the beautiful doctor.

Hasna looked back, then looked back at the tiny baby who kept crying. Finally Makutha looked at Maudy's baby. The crying of the baby does make the heart of anyone who hears it feel pain.

Makutha nodded slowly while smiling faintly. Hasna returned her smile then stared at Makutha's departure. After the man's back disappeared from sight, he looked back at Maudy's baby.

In the hospital parking lot, Makutha meets Ruby who has been there since to watch over Hasna. The two were having a small argument about Hasna's accident yesterday.

"I'll go get my mom. Please stay alert and keep an eye on Hasna." Makutha looked seriously at Ruby who was standing in front of her while chewing gum.

"Okay, you know how I work?"

"You were off guard yesterday afternoon" Makutha said in a cold tone.

The man's jaw hardened because he remembered one of Ruby's carelessness. He made a mistake until Hasna got into an accident. Shortly before Hasna went to the hospital, she left the apartment under the pretext of wanting to buy lunch.

"That's out of my control, Tha. If I didn't come back soon and follow him, wouldn't it be worse? I was out for a while anyway to buy food." Ruby raised one eyebrow while smiling obliquely.

Thirty minutes later, they reached Hasna's apartment. Makutha deliberately asked them to stay there because the apartment security system is much better than the residence. It also happened that his mother agreed because she wanted to monitor Hasna's condition and help him care for Maudy's baby for a while.

"Sit, Sir." Farhan smiled faintly as he greeted Makutha.

"Interrogation about the assault on your house, how?"

"Master doesn't want to go to the police station yet, sir. I don't know what made him come."

"How many times has the police sent a summons?"

"Two times, it should be the day after tomorrow he's scheduled to be questioned."

"So if tomorrow doesn't come, he'll be forcibly picked up?"

Makutha rubs her chin and seems to think. He wanted to do something to urge Liam to turn himself in. After this he plans to meet Toni.

"I will say everything honestly and openly in the press conference tonight. It's true I asked someone to terrorize BRIPDA Farhan."
