The Dark Side of a Judge

The Dark Side of a Judge
Chapter 6. Die

Arjun was wide-eyed when he heard the report from his subordinates. He drove his car at high speed. Makutha kept asking what surprised Arjun. However, the man remained silent.

"Later you'll find out after you get to the police!" arjun shouted while continuing to drive his car.

Makutha no longer asked much, even though her tongue felt so itchy. He can only harbor his curiosity, so that Arjun can focus on driving a car.

Once at the police station, Arjun and Makutha half run towards the holding cell. Police lines were installed around the place. A body was already stretched out rigidly on the floor.

Yes, that lifeless body belongs to Surya. The man was covered in blood with an incision wound on his wrist. His pulse broke with a gaping tear and continued to bleed.

Seeing the thick liquid in deep red made Makutha's head dizzy. He started to stagger. His chest felt so tight that his breathing was stingy. Arjun who realized that immediately brought Makutha into his room.

After arriving at the Kapolsek's room, Makutha was laid on the sofa. He used his left arm to close his eyes. The smell of blood and the shadow of the viscous fluid is still recorded clearly by the brain and the sense of smell. His heart was racing faster and his stomach was getting more turbulent.

"Drink!" Arjun thrust a glass of water and also a tranquilizer.

Arjun knows that Makutha has Hemophobia (The onset of excessive anxiety when he sees blood). Makutha always felt dizzy, nauseous, weak, and difficulty breathing when seeing large amounts of blood. It had happened since he saw Abercio who died before his eyes covered in blood.

"Thank you, sir." Makutha sat back down, then grabbed the glass and sedative that Arjun had given her, then took it.

Makutha leaned her back on the head of the sofa. The man closed his eyes while trying to catch his breath. Arjun sat his ass on the sofa. The more than half a century old policeman squeezed his gray hair.

"How's this? He's dead! We can't get any further information on the mastermind behind the assault you've been through."

"Have you checked the CCTV?" makutha asked while massaging her temple.

"Of course, nothing is strange."

"Where was the body first found?"

"Toilet cell."

"Next ...." Makutha, who was initially leaning on the head of the sofa, now sits up straight, then stares intensely at Arjun.

"Who visited him last time?" Makutha squinted.

"I'll check it! You stay here!"

Arjun half ran towards the visiting room at the police station. He asks Farhan to check the list of people who visited Surya yesterday. However, another annoying fact was revealed.

"After we checked, he used a fake identity card, sir!"

"So he's got a fake identity?" Arjun stared intently at the guest list that visited yesterday.

"Yes, Sir. After we checked, the population number was fake!"

"Damn! Deadlock again!" Arjun rubbed a rough face then looked back at Farhan.

"How's the character?" ask Arjun again.

"He ...." Farhan mentions the physical characteristics of the people who visited Surya. He got the info from the officer on guard.

"Damn! I know who he is!" cursed again.

Arjun went straight back to his room. When he opened the door, the man slumped. Makutha was already standing in front of her desk carrying a brown envelope containing confidential documents.

"What is this, sir!" Makutha slammed the file onto the table.

"I-I can explain!"

"For what Mr. Arjun keeps my personal data and Abercio case files!"

...****************...

Duh, what is it for Mr Arjun to store Makutha's personal data and documents?

Come here too, huh?
