Chapter 26. Interrogations

Ferdi and Tito gulped rough saliva while in a room with Farhan. The violent shadow during the interrogation that they often heard, made the two shudder in horror. It's been almost an hour they've been there. Every second the atmosphere gets hotter.

"So, what is your motive for killing the victim" asked Farhan firmly. The eyes of the man looked extremely sharp and intimidating.

"That hit me, sir. To be honest I was not on purpose," said Tito, bowing languidly.

"really? I wonder how hard you hit him until Praba's life drifts!" Farhan breaks the table, causing Tito and Ferdi to flinch.

"I-I also didn't know that Praba's head was as fragile as that, sir," said Tito nervously as he gulped roughly.

"Then you, Ferdi! What is your motive for raping a defenseless woman! Where's your conscience!" farhan shouted as he pressed down on Ferdi's chest with his index finger.

Farhan's jaw was hardened because he remembered how cruel the two men before them were. After attacking Praba, they raped women in critical condition drenched in blood.

"I-i ...."

A slap landed smoothly on Ferdi's cheek. The man fell down lethargic. I don't know what possessed Ferdi at that time, until he could have done something depraved to the dying Praba.

"So you said you accidentally killed a victim. What was your initial intention?" ask Farhan to Tito.

"We were asked to kidnap Praba, sir. Actually just for ...."

As he was about to reveal his original intentions, Ferdi elbowed Tito's arm. The man turned his head towards Ferdi who was staring out of the room bounded by a large glass. Outside the interrogation room, Arjun was already standing straight while staring at the two.

Seeing the Police Chief watching, made the two silenced. Tito bowed listlessly. However, he again remembered the kindness of Makutha. Tito remembered how Makutha 'humanized' himself.

Tito raised his face again. He no longer cared about Arjun's intimidating gaze. His heart has been incumbent to participate in dismantling the evil Leopard Gang and Liam.

"We were asked by the Chairman of the Leopard Tiger Gang and Mr. Mayor to kidnap Praba. It was meant to suppress Makutha, sir."

Ferdi was dazed with Tito's recklessness. His fingers trembled at having to commit another cruel act. Ferdi took out the folding knife that had been given to him before today's interrogation took place.

Ferdi brought himself closer to Tito, as if to embrace the body of his best friend. At the same time, Ferdi stabbed Tito in the stomach.

"Sorry, To. Sorry," said Ferdi, shedding tears.

Farhan and Nico were shocked. They immediately approached Tito and Ferdi. Arjun asked one of the subordinates who came with him to call an ambulance.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy?" farhan asked in a furious tone.

Ferdi did not answer. He just bowed lethargic while continuing to cry as he pleased. Arjun entered the investigation room to see Tito's condition.

Tito's blood flooded the floor of the interrogation room. He still regained his senses, but his lips began to look pale. Tito pressed the puncture wound with his palm. Cold sweat washed down almost the entire body of the man.

"To-please," said Tito lirih as he looked at Arjun. Shortly after, he closed his eyes.

At the same time, Maudy was relaxing on the apartment sofa while enjoying a snack. Sometimes he hummed his favorite idol group songs. To be honest, Maudy was very comfortable with her current state.

The woman used to live a simple life with Tito. This time Makutha and Hasna gave him shelter and life with medium to upper facilities. Even Maudy almost forgot that her husband had been huddled for several days in the cold of the holding cell.

While Maudy was enjoying her favorite music, someone opened the apartment door. The woman immediately got up from the sofa, and walked slowly towards the living room. Hasna was already inside the apartment with a panicked-looking face.

"Sir, aren't you pa-pa?" maudy asked while frowning.

"Dy, let's go to the hospital!" exclaim Hasna.

"Why indeed? My control schedule's still a week away, right?" maudy asked in confusion.

"Ti-Tito, attacked by Ferdi!"

"What!"
