The Dark Side of a Judge

The Dark Side of a Judge
Chapter 55. Starting a Plan With the Enemy

Makutha woke up when her face was drenched with cold water. His breathing is stinged because of water droplets that enter the respiratory tract. Makutha occasionally coughed.

When the handsome judge managed to gather consciousness, the sexy-clothed female figure immediately greeted Makutha's sense of sight. Yes, that woman is Ruby.

Makutha again gets a betrayal. This time the woman who is believed to be guarding Hasna turns out to be the enemy behind the blanket who is ready to attack her at any time.

"Basaras pervert! Could be you ...."

Uncompleted Makutha continued her speech, a fist landing right on the man's jaw. Makutha looked up because of the harshness of Ruby's punch.

"I can finally beat you, Mr. Makutha!" exclaim Ruby while smiling sideways.

"How can you ...."

Again Makutha's speech was cut off. This time Ruby landed a punch on the handsome man's stomach. Makutha's screams stuck in the throat. The pain felt by the man penetrated to the heart.

"Well remember him?" Ruby reached into the coat pocket, then showed me a photo.

Makutha narrowed her eyes trying to identify who the woman in the photo was. The man dug back his memory.

"Two years ago, he was convicted only of stealing a loaf of bread for his starving daughter."

Makutha's pupils are perfectly rounded. The case two years ago was Makutha's first case when she was a member judge of the District Court. The woman was sentenced to two years in prison by the court.

"I just did what I should." Makutha remained calm when facing Ruby.

"You knew? His daughter died an hour after the arrest. My brother told the police that there was a toddler dying of hunger, but no one believed it." Ruby's eyes began to turn red, her jaw hardened perfectly.

"You're wrong, By. I have nothing to do with the baby's death."

"No, but the court should have given him a waiver! For God's sake, my brother just took a piece of bread! And the punishment given for two years? Isn't that unfair?" ruby asked with emotion.

"What makes me even more sliced, that bread is the leftover bread that will be thrown away!"

Makutha could not answer anymore. He just stared intently at Ruby. The man continued to move the arm to escape the coiled rope on the wrist.

"If I could just want to kill you! Then hang your body on the flagpole of the District Court office. Let them know what real justice is!"

"We are all just doing everything in accordance with the applicable law. If you really kill me, then you're the one who's gonna get caught up in the law, By."

Without Ruby noticing, the rope that shackled Makutha's arm began to loose. The man waited for the right time to strike back at Ruby.

"I wonder how Hasna reacted when she found out the man she loved came home in such a terrible condition." Ruby smiled obliquely then stared intently at Makutha.

"But unfortunately, again the stupid mayor forbade me to kill you! He intends to humiliate you and make you suffer slowly! He is a savage! I salute Liam's abomination." Ruby continued to babble while walking around Makutha.

Just when Ruby was in front of Makutha and behind her, the rope that tied the man's arm came loose. Makutha immediately wrapped the rope around Ruby's body, and tied the woman to the chair.

"Depart, Goddamn!" ruby shouted as she continued to rebel.

"You really misunderstood the case. If you want revenge, you should have taken all that back to the police. Your niece died when your brother was interrogated, not when the trial took place."

"Just the same! I'm mad at you for a punishment that I feel is unfair! Two years for a piece of leftover bread! Very funny!"

"The laws of this country are unfair! Commoners are made difficult when demanding justice, while high-ranking and money-liked people can easily escape prosecution!"

"So, why do you want to work under Liam's feet?" Makutha smiled as she tilted while raising an eyebrow.

"Isn't he one of those people who uses power and money to break free from the law? Bribe here and there so that the activities of the Leopard Gang are not touched by the law?"

Ruby silences. He just realized his mistake. He mistakenly believed and was consumed by Liam's sweet words. The woman was also sluggish.

"So, how? Want to come with me to uphold justice, or stay wallowing in the shit Liam made?" Makutha stared intently at Ruby who was still bowed lethargic.

Ruby slowly raised her face. Now his eyes began to glaze over. The woman nodded slowly while looking at Makutha.

"Well, I want to ask you one thing. Was Farhan involved as well?"

Ruby. He didn't expect Makutha to know that. I don't know when the judge realized that Farhan was one of Liam's henchmen.

Finally, Ruby nodded. Makutha took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. The man approached Ruby, then untied her.

"Now it's up to you. I'll ask you again one last time. Are you willing to help me get Liam to jail?"

"Yes, I'll do whatever you say."

"All right, listen to me! Later, when I was arrested to be questioned about the brawl case seven years ago ...."

Makutha begins to reveal her plans to Ruby. The woman listened to every sentence spoken from Makutha's lips carefully. The two talked for an hour.

Shortly after he finished revealing his dark story seven years ago, suddenly the door of the basement opened. Toni looked at Ruby sharply with her fingers tightly clenched beside her body.

"Ruby, how dare you!" Toni walked quickly towards Ruby and prepared to land a punch.

However, Makutha swiftly put on the body, so Toni failed to hit Ruby. The breath of the Cantul Gang's leader was hunting. His blood seemed to boil after getting a report from the guards that the only female member of the Leopard Gang was holding Makutha in the basement.

"Calm down, Ton. I'm fine." Makutha tries to win Toni.

"I'm sorry for my sister's behavior! Damn her!"

Makutha. He does not think that it turns out that Toni and Ruby are brothers.

"So, you're brothers?" Makutha looked at Ruby and Toni alternately.

The two people of different gender and age in front of Makutha also nodded together. Makutha frowned then rubbed her chin.

"But why not look alike, huh? Toni's too ugly for your big brother's size."

Sontak Toni glared, while Ruby held back a laugh. Her fingers closed their mouths hoping that her laughter would not explode.

"Damn you, Tha!" toni exclaimed as she raised her arms into the air.

Their laughter also broke. After that the three of them called Usman and Niki to discuss their next plan. This time Makutha kept up the alert mode.

He deliberately revealed all his plans to them. However, the four people before him did not know that Makutha had recorded all the conversations that day. If they had betrayed him, he would still have evidence to defend himself in court.
