Chapter 42. Negotiating
Jali's jaw hardened, the veins around his eyes were so prominent, and the man's breath swept across the surface of Makutha's face. He was slightly offended by the judge's words.
Makutha is not wrong. Jali received a large amount of money from Liam. However, he had to maintain his credibility as a dignified thug. The man whose full name is Rojali is certainly prestige to accept an offer from Makutha.
"I did sell thuggish services for money! But, I won't betray the one who hired my services first!" furious Jali.
"Oh, fine then." Makutha slightly pursed her lips while nodding and rubbing her chin.
"Then can I tell you a little about my past? Look, let's just say this is a session of confiding a judge to his accused candidate."
The two returned to talk relaxed. Makutha reveals her past story. The story of the tragedy seven years ago, which makes it so ambitious to hunt the Leopard Gang and Liam.
After Makutha finished telling the story. Jali yawns wide. The corner of the man's eyes was wet. Not for being sad to hear Makutha's story. However, those tears came out naturally as he was yawning earlier.
"The classic story is boring!" yell at Jali while smiling sideways.
"So, how?" makutha asked with a slanted smile.

Makutha stared at her reflection from the mirror hanging on the wall of the toilet. Today is the verdict hearing for the Tito murder case. The trial was just finished a few minutes ago.
The judge sentenced Hans to 20 years in prison after deliberation. Actually Makutha was not satisfied with the trial this time. Not because of the punishment handed down to Hans. However, the doctor did not want to mention Liam's name when the investigation took place.
"It's so hard to reach you!" makutha.
"How can they reveal Liam's name? I don't think about how the Leopard Gang works."
Soon a call came into Makutha's cell phone. He frowned. Without waiting later, the handsome man instantly swiped up the screen from the flat object he was holding.
"Hello ...."
"How are you, Mr Chief Judge?"
Makutha's pupils dilated. He memorized it very well with a hoarse voice from the man on the other end of the phone. Toni, the leader of the Leopard Gang contacted him.
Makutha's jaw suddenly hardened as she recalled how the man swung the beam at Abercio. One more thing that made the judge furious. Guilt was not on Toni's face when she was in custody.
"What is your business?" ask Makutha cynically.
"What business, huh? I'd rather talk to you about something. You could say it's a confession."
"Meet me at Cafe X in two hours."
"Hey, Toni ...." Makutha's speech is interrupted as Toni ends her call.
Makutha tries to call back the man. However, his mobile number could not be reached. He tried several times and the result was the same.
"Damn!" umpat Makutha while hitting the edge of the sink in front of him.

Two hours later ....
Makutha stepped into the cafe that Toni meant. The man glanced at every corner of the cafe. However, he did not find Toni's figure.
"Don't he get me?"
Makutha continued to step up and chose to sit down at the table located in the corner of the room. The man did not want to be the center of attention, so decided to sit in the spot. Shortly after, a servant approached him.
"I'm sorry, I'm waiting for my friend" Makutha refused, thinking the waiter would hand me a menu.
"You've been waiting for Mr. Toni. Come follow me, sir," the servant whispered to Makutha.
Makutha looked at the servant at a glance then nodded. He got out of his chair and started following in his footsteps. They both stopped in front of the room with the number three.
The cafe has a private room that can be rented. The waiter knocked on the door, then turned the lever. When the door opened, Makutha stepped in. As soon as he saw the situation in the room Makutha blood seemed to boil.
"Fuck you, Ton!" makutha.
