The End of Hope

The End of Hope
Epsu 27. Oh That's a pity

Ares sees the interaction between his children and Nayana. He watched her since Naya began to approach Yoni and carry her child. But as usual Naya did not look towards Ares at all. It has been ignored for the umpteenth time.

He actually wanted to just say hello to Naya, ask her the news or say, 'are you okay?' but all those words he kept in his mind. It's like evaporating air, invisible.

"Lord!" suddenly, someone called Naya from the kitchen.

Naya immediately rose to leave the little family at her desk. Naya goes to the kitchen to retrieve Ares' prepared order. He returned to their dining table with a large tray in his hand.

'Is this their favorite?'

There were three servings of food ordered, each of which was grilled ribs and ribs soup complete with rice. Naya served the food carefully. First he presented to Ares, as a tribute because he was the one who would pay for it. Then he presents to Yoni, only then Raya.

Raya looked at her papa who was unwittingly still staring at Naya's face. The teenage girl took turns staring at her papa, Naya and the food in front of her.

"Aunty has breakfast?" tanya Raya's.

"That's easy." answered Naya while keeping a tray under the table and sitting next to Yoni, helping to cut the rib meat on her plate.

"Tante, bribe" said Yoni whining. He thrust his plate into Naya's hadpan. But Ares pulled back Yoni's plate.

"Eating, alone. Yoni can do it, right?" Ares said.

Naya simply smiled and stroked the little boy's head gently. He has no right to regulate how Ares educates his children.

"Smart kid" Naya said. He grew even more anxious to see the pouting Yoni. The funnier he thought, the more Naya laughed.

"Hey, don't pout. So it's even funnier for you" Naya said as she passed away leaving the family to enjoy the food immediately. While Raya still occasionally glanced at her papa. His face was a little sour.

'Does papa like Aunt Naya? May I wish that my aunt would just part with her husband and be with us forever. Why do we meet now, when aunt still has a family and we don't have a mother."

'Why should she, why not just another woman who is not married?'

"Papa, how long did you work here?" tanya Raya on the sidelines eating it.

"Next year. Papa's contract is only two years here" Ares replied while occasionally tidying up Yoni's food.

"Raya cape, pa. Moving-moving continues. Next year, if you move to another place, Raya will stay with Grandma in Stone Town."

"Year ahead you are in High School? All right, stay there with grandma. There's a good school there."

"Do you still want to move around?"

Ares was stunned to hear his son's words. A silent does not answer. He is also tired, but he has to do a job that he likes very much. Designing a building and working with many different companies, being able to go to various areas, is very fun for him.

Ares has been working for a long time, being an architect and under an agreement with several contractors. It can always be placed in any region in the Earth's earth.

But now facing the reality of his children are grown and it will be increasingly difficult to move around. They have no friends, because sometimes Raya has to change schools again in just one year.

Ares is reluctant to settle in the city where he used to live, the city of Batu. Because there are many memories with his wife that he does not want to remember anymore. Unless there is someone who can indeed make Ares replace those bad memories with sweeter memories.

A few minutes after they finished their breakfast.

"Yep...!" yoni's cry was heard near the door. The boy teepeleset and falls. Naya who was still cleaning the table immediately ran towards Yoni, Ares was paying for food at the cashier, while Raya was still engrossed with a cell phone in her hand.

"Yoni!" naya said as she held the little girl on her thighs.

"Did it hurt?' he asked again, rubbing Yoni's hands, feet and body. The little boy just kept quiet while looking at his feet that had stumbled on the floor.

Suddenly there was a middle-aged woman standing in front of Naya, she was wearing simple clothes but looked elegant and graceful. He looked at the two women who were still hugging each other, Yoni and Naya, with astonished and amazed looks. He seemed to take breaths repeatedly as if he was convincing himself of what he saw.

Naya and Yoni looked at the woman.

"Grandma!" yoni said, he came down from Naya's lap and approached the woman he called his grandmother.

"Come, go home with grandma. Let papa work." said Grandma Yoni.

"Yes. Auntie wanna come?" yoni said as he grabbed Naya's hand. Ares and Raya are approaching them.

"Mom done shopping?" ares asked Grandma Yoni and the woman nodded.

The woman looked at Naya and reached out to her. He wanted to know Naya. Of course because he saw a rare reality with Naya and Yoni in his arms.

"I'm Rasti, Grandma Yoni" Rasti said with a warm smile.

"Eh, I'm Nayana Haruni. Just call me Naya. Nice to meet you madam." said Naya awkwardly.

"Oh. Come come to our house, Yoni seems to like you. Be her mother" said Rasti again making Ares and Raya and Naya glare.

'The mother, what does she mean?'

"Sorry, madam. I've been married. And I have to work now." replied Naya trying to calm down.

"Oh. Too bad." said Rasti a little disappointed. He only saw the sincerity on Naya's face when he saw that she was taking care of Yoni who was crying.

"Yoni, it doesn't hurt anymore, does it?" ask Naya while standing up.

"No." answered Naya while shaking her head.

"So Yoni fell here, earlier Yoni saw there was a frog, jump there, hii.' babble child cheeked the kingpin was carefree.

The little family left in their car. And Naya returned to work well, though her mind still wandered with Rasti's words earlier. How can a person who has just known directly ask to be a mother for his granddaughter.

'Aa-there is. Astagfirulullah.'

After work hours are over, Naya tidied her belongings, in the form of mukena and cell phone into the bag. There was no message from her husband. Until he sends a message first.

If you continue to expect that his partner who first sends a message as a form of attention, then he will swallow more disappointment. Actually, the heartache is mostly caused by humans who expect too much.

" Naya" said Nha's mother as Naya was about to walk out. Naya approached while putting the phone in the bag.

"It's a bonus for you this month, make shopping. Buy your own needs." said Ms. Nha while holding an envelope on Naya.

"Thank you, ma'am."

"You're patient, yeah. Mom can't help you anything. Hopefully this can be a little entertaining" said Ms. Nha. Of course, ma'am pNha knew what happened to Naya until she said that.

Naya smiles and she intends to head to the city mall for shopping. True also said Ms. Nha, shopping is one of the favorite women who can be happy. Whynot?

There is sadness, but it will not be continuous sadness. Happiness is there, but it won't last forever. The life cycle changes every day.

Naya hitchhikes a city transport to get to the city mall, the bustling atmosphere ambushes her, she almost forgets who she was at the time. A crowd he hadn't felt in months.

Naya decided to pray first dimoshola in the mall. Arriving at the toilet he was surprised by the person he met there.

"Yola?" naya said with a surprised expression.

'Why is he here?'
