"Hey, are you awake?" The gentle elusan on his head and stomach felt Zee as soon as he opened his eyes. He looked to the side and found Sean's face.
"What time is it?" asked Zee in a hoarse voice,
"It's still 8. You haven't eaten since I arrived, I'll ask-"
"Stay like this," Zee whined at Sean's words while holding his pillow-shaped hand.
Sean dyed Zee's hair gently. "All right." He doesn't force much and follows everything Zee wants.
"Sean, I want a drink" Zee later said.
Sean got up to pick up a glass at the nightstand, and Zee got up and sat back down. He received the glass that Sean thrust and drank the contents out. Then give back the empty glass to Sean.
"Go back to sleep" Sean said, trying to change Zee's body position to lie back down.
Zee shook his head. "I'm not sleepy, don't force me anymore."
"Well," replied Sean who again did not force Zee. His hands moved around Zee's shoulders.
"Then what are you gonna do?" sean asked after quite a long time no talks or activities were carried out between the two.
Zee did not answer. He took Sean's other hand and placed it on his stomach. Moving the man's hand to stroke his stomach. Sean immediately understood and by himself gently stroking Zee's stomach made the girl close her eyes.
"Are your parents going to be happy with my pregnancy?" zee asked open the conversation without opening her eyes.
"of course. Perhaps this is something they are waiting for," Sean replied loudly and without hesitation. He was able to predict how his parents responded, especially his mother when she heard this news.
Zee didn't speak again for a long time. He was calm with what Sean said. However, he could not stop worrying about his father. Her papi is a fairly assertive person and still holds a thick custom of Indonesian culture. Where pregnancy should occur in marriage. He was already two without marriage. Moreover, she was pregnant when she said goodbye to her papa to study. It was certain that his papa would be very disappointed in him.
"What wedding do you want?" sean asked Zee.
"I ... " Zee daydreams again about the dream wedding he wants.
Zee's wishes are very simple about his future marriage. He just wants a simple marriage with a prospective husband who is also simple, humble, and most importantly, sincerely love him. He was very happy with just that. However, it seems Sean will not grant his wish. The Rexford family is a family of businessmen who are quite famous in this city and one of the influential ones. The wedding of their eldest son will certainly be held grandly with guests who are mostly important people. He did not mind too much because most importantly Sean loved him sincerely. Although he is not a simple and humble person.
"I don't mind how our wedding will be held, the most important thing for her future husband is you." Zee looked up at Sean as he answered.
"Of course I'll be your future husband, who else?" Sean chuckled softly at Zee's reply while kissing his nose.
"Sean, I ... " Zee hung up on his words, still holding back to talk about what he was thinking.
"What's up, honey? Is something bothering you?" sean looked at Zee.
"But, I'm worried about what Papi will say to hear this news." Zee finally talks about what Sean should have been talking about.
"What if Papi doesn't accept it and tries to separate us? Moreover, hearing your way is quite extreme," said Zee who indirectly insinuated Sean.
"Why did it separate us? We love each other and will have a granddaughter. There's no way he'll take away his daughter's happiness" Sean replied in surprise.
"Where did you forget I was from? Asian culture is different from European or Western culture. Stereotypes still look at pregnancy outside of marriage. Papi is one of them. I'm pretty worried about that." Sean realized and understood what Zee was worried about. He immediately remembered where his fiancee came from.
"Don't worry, whatever your father's response will be, he won't be able to separate us. I'm not leaving you and we're going to get married even without her consent." As Zee guessed, this is what Sean Rexford would say.
"I didn't expect it to come out of your mouth" Zee said, sighing in disappointment.
"Then what did you expect?" sean asked confused.
"Sean, I hope this will be a once-in-a-lifetime marriage. I don't want to get married without Papi's blessing let alone in his angry state of being disappointed in me." Sean's brain immediately understood what Zee wanted.
Such troublesome things Sean didn't want to do. What he wants must happen as he wishes, no matter what the reason. But another with this. This relates to Zee, his fiancee and the woman he loves. If Zee is unhappy on their wedding day because he doesn't get his father's blessing, it won't make Sean happy. Not to mention, women are pregnant with their children who can be vulnerable to Zee's mental and physical health. He cannot ignore the consequences of what will happen later.
"We will persuade your father until he approves of us. However, I'm sure he'll bless us because I'm the father of the child you bear." Finally the words desired by Zee, out of Sean's mouth, he was relieved and happy and moved on Sean.
"You're right" Zee replied.
"Vean ... " Zee looked up to Sean again.
"Hm?" Sean muttered to answer it without opening his already closed eyes.
"I'm going back to college next month, because it's-"
"No, you're gonna quit your college and just focus on your pregnancy. College will only make you tired" cut Sean before Zee actually finishes his sentence. Just now Zee was talking about going back to college, but Sean had already banned him. What if he asks permission to stay with Kyra until they get married later.
"Sean, I'll only get bored in a mansion this wide if you keep getting me to rest. If I get bored, I'll be stressed. Wouldn't that be bad for my health and our baby's?" Zee tries to persuade Sean.
"You don't intend to see that young man again, do you?" sean asked this time looking at Zee.
"Aidan is my best friend, of course-"
"Athan Guelt." Sean cut off Zee's words. Hearing the name that he had not heard for a long time made Zee remember the man.
"Don't remember the man's face anymore, I don't like it and don't allow it!" sean exclamation not long to disperse Zee's daydream. He can't if the guy breaks his persuasion of Sean.
Zee immediately raised his hand to stroke Sean's cheek. "Hey, can't you believe what I said in the hospital?" ask Zee.
Zee's hand gestures invite Sean to kiss the palm of the hand. "I trust you. What I don't believe in is him." Sean caught Zee's hand.
"He had a lover like me last time. So, there's nothing to worry about anymore. I also promise I won't get tired of worrying about you. Besides, Aidan and Kyra will take care of me" Zee said.
"All right, you promised." Sean doesn't linger deciding and allowing what Zee wants. Zee tested his luck again.
"Then, since we're going to get married and stay together forever, I should have spent more time with my best friend. Didn't we?" Sean opened his eyes and stopped kissing Zee's palm.
Sean shakes. "No, you can't."
"I'll spend more time with you because we're getting married. Even today we are not married, we live together. Let me this time, just." Zee insisted on what he wanted.
"Not for that. Everything you wanted I granted, not to stay apart from me. It's also for your safety, honey."
"But Sean ... "
"Now sleep, Zee." Sean cut off Zee's words while closing his eyes with one hand.
Zee brushed Sean's hand off his face and snorted in annoyance. His tone was already indisputable by Zee, indicating that he could not negotiate anymore. Zee turns to Sean's back, a sign that he's angry with him.
"City ... "
Zee did not reply and preferred to close his eyes. This does not mean he will give up on persuading Sean. He simply backed off to think of another way until Sean allowed it. He has rarely spent time with Kyra and Aidan. The only way is to stay with Kyra again, until she gets married.
