Chapter 67: Deep Talk

"Good morning, Sean." Zee greets Sean's arrival at the dining table, and Zee's father prepares breakfast.

"Good morning, dear, Mr. Dante," replied Sean as he glanced at his future father-in-law who did not give any response. Just as Sean was about to kiss Zee, immediately Zee dodged Sean while glancing at his father. Sean was disappointed again.

"What about your sleep in Zee's room?" dante asked in a cold tone without looking at the two.

Zee froze motionless, hearing what his father had said. Sean who though did not understand the words of Zee's father, but he understood from Zee's response that what his father said must make the woman speechless. Of all the possibilities, surely his father already knew that he was sleeping with his daughter.

"Pa-papi turns out to know," said Zee, covered with awkward laughter.

"But today is not working? Why aren't you ready?" zee asked immediately to shift their topic of conversation.

Dante kept the finished milk glass and looked up at Zee. "The fire wants to go golfing after all this time, with your future husband." His gaze now turned to Sean.

"Sean," call Zee staring at him.

"I get it, golf don't you think?" ask Sean who's been there.

"Yes, we go play golf right now while talking." Suddenly his father used English that Sean clearly understood.

"Sure, Mr. Dante." Sean replied without a smile on his face that showed no hospitality. His nature in others, even in the future father-in-law, Sean still remains stiff.

"Sean, are you sure you can do it?" zee asked after they arrived at the room Sean was in.

"When I was in college, I was a popular athlete. There's nothing to worry about, honey. The important point is not this golf, but the conversation between a man. Your father just clumsy with me and said this." Sean explains what Zee's father meant.

"That-so?" asked Zee who had also just noticed it.

"Well, I'm relieved to hear it" Zee said later and walked out with Sean.

"Zee, get in Papi's car!" dante's orders, see his daughter who's out with Sean.

Zee looks at Sean with a look of regret before finally getting into Dante's car. Sean also starts to get upset with all these and that rules, but for the sake of his smooth relationship with Zee, he tries to hold back. Just right here.

"Pi, what do you think Sean?" tanya Zee started the conversation when the car was already on the move.

Dante was silent and still remained focused on the streets, preparing for the answer that was in his head. Zee is waiting for his father's answer.

"He's in charge" Dante's short answer that disappointed Zee a little.

"To be honest, he's a little bit like Papi. Hopefully he is also like Papi who loves family and does not fall asleep with his property." Dante continued.

"Did Papi know Sean?" ask Zee curiously.

"Who does not know himself in the business world? In one look Papi had realized that he was the famous Rexford family." Even his father found out who Sean was without Zee telling him. Is that Sean?

"While he seems to love you so much, Papi doesn't doubt that. But, the background makes Papi a little hesitant," said Dante again.

"Why the background?" zee asked, not understanding.

"Yes, you yourself also know how those 'bear' kids socialize. Because they have money, they feel they have everything. Who knows, how Sean's childhood lifestyle and habits?" His father's words actually made Zee a little afraid when he just thought about it.

"Bapi can also be said to be like Sean, Sean could be the same as Papi. Papi himself said that he looked like Papi" Zee denied.

"Hopefully," said Dante.

"Don't think too much, Zee. If he accepts you under any circumstances and never protests or debates your differences during your relationship, Papi is sure Sean is a good man." Dante tries to calm his daughter who seems to be hesitant.

Zee did not answer anymore and began to get busy with his thoughts. His inner self continues to convince himself to believe in Sean. Whatever Sean's past is, it's the past. No matter what Sean's bad habits or attitude, he will accept it. Sean accepts his past and lets it be the past. Zee is convinced that the man is the right man for her.

An hour ago, he arrived at this golf course. Since his arrival, he has done absolutely nothing but watch the match between his father and fiancee in a shady lounge chair. The two of them, looked quite familiar when viewed from a distance. Sometimes they chat who don't know what to say.

"Miss Alanza, isn't she?" greet a middle-aged man who had been around since when.

"Yes, right." Zee replied with a smile.

"You remember me, right? We've met at a corporate charity event" he asked.

"Sure," replied Zee kindly.

In his mind, he kept asking questions and trying to remember. 'Who is he? Who's he?'

"Is the man who played with your father really Mr Rexford, the English businessman?" Ah, now Zee understands the purpose of this man.

"Yes," Zee replied.

"How can he be here and be with you and your father?" He looks surprised.

"Babe!" Sean's voice greeted him first, before he could answer. Sean embraced Zee's waist after them in close proximity.

"Are you guys done 'playing'? Why so little?" zee asked, turning his gaze to Sean.

"But no longer eager to play and want to go home." Dante answered.

"You go home with Sean, Papi will go home first." Then he just walked away.

Zee looked at his father who looked to have a bad expression. "Has your conversation gone well?" ask Zee.

"Nothing to worry about. Papi is quite good at English as it turns out," replied Sean.

"Miss Alanza." Zee almost forgot the middle-aged man in front of him who was still watching them.

"Ah, she's my fiancee" Zee replied before finally taking Sean off the golf course. He did not want to receive many more questions from the surprised man.

"Did he bother you?" sean asked after they were in the car.

"No," said Zee.

"I was surprised, even you are very famous in Indonesia, too" Zee said later.

"That's nothing if we don't meet, dear." Sean said sweet words that made Zee always blush.

"Basic teaser!" exclaiming Zee who is not denied is quite happy and embarrassed.

"What were you talking about?" zee asked to change the subject.

"It's just a conversation between a man." Sean's answer was enough to disappoint Zee. But he also did not want to force it.

"Since our business is done here, what if we get around this city first before returning to London tomorrow?" zee Proposal.

"There's still something we need to talk about, honey. We'll be home the day after tomorrow." Sean replied.

"What?" ask Zee annoyed.
