The Journey to IU

The little submarine Ryan and Aria were riding on was speeding like a torpedo in the water.

In the submarine, the light source in the submarine comes only from the cabin light signal and also the instrument table. Therefore, the conditions in the cabin are very dim.

Ryan sat in the passenger seat, looking out at the scene with an electronic telescope. Aria, meanwhile, only watches the submarine's speed through radar.

From this, Ryan finally understood why Aria had the confidence to pilot a science-enabled submarine that she had read from a guidebook. 

Because basically, this submarine has an autopilot feature, where the submarine driver only needs to set the destination point or target, and automatically, the submarine will follow the destination point or target.

"okay." Aria was delighted to get Ryan's attention. She smiled after Ryan closed his eyes on the chair.

Three hours later, Ryan woke up because his stomach started to rumble. Ryan then ate some simple nutritious foods and drinks commonly used in the military.

Aria also accompanied Ryan to eat. Afterwards, Ryan decides to replace Aria in overseeing the navigation and tells Aria to sleep.

After swapping seats, Aria immediately closed her eyes. Instantly, the atmosphere became very quiet. All that was heard was the sound of Aria's breath and this made her look very sweet

Suddenly, the sound of falling objects was heard from the back of the chair that Aria was using. Ryan turned to look at the voice and saw a pocket book lying on the floor.

"Buildbook of Butei?" Ryan recognized him.

The Butei Handbook is a portable notebook that is usually used to record some of Butei's investigative results.

Apart from being a notebook, Butei's Guidebook also kept some important equipment for Butei. Such as, tools that can be used to unlock, bandages for emergency care when injured, analgesics and pacemaker drugs along with syringes, and so forth. All of this can be stored on the cover of the book.

Therefore, every Butei often takes him everywhere every run a Personal Commission.

Ryan took Aria's book. While taking it, a photo fell from the sidelines of the book.

In the photo, there is a picture of a handsome man with a suit and a detective-style hat with a wooden cigarette pipe (gangklong) in his mouth.

The photo looks still black and white and has yellowed, indicating this photo has been taken long enough.

'Who is this man in the picture? Why do I feel familiar?' ryan murmured while holding the photo of the handsome-looking man.

After a while, Ryan finally remembered it. "Sherlock Holmes!"

The face of Sherlock Holmes is very famous, even his picture is plastered in Butei textbooks.

"I didn't expect this kid to actually carry a photo of his great-grandfather." Ryan smiled subtly as he stroked the sleeping hair of Aria.

As a descendant of Holmes, Aria greatly admired her Grandfather. Hence Aria aspires to be able to surpass her Grandpa Buy's reputation.

Aria carries the photo as a good luck charm and also a life booster.

Ryan then returned the photo to the book and gently stuffed it again into Aria's arms.

Suddenly, the radar of the submarine they were riding sounded.

This unexpected sound of alarm made Ryan turn his head and also instantly woke up the sleeping Aria.

"It looks like we've reached our destination" Ryan said, looking at the situation from an electronic telescope.

In the depths of the sea, where sunlight could not penetrate it, there was a gigantic figure floating in front of the small submarine that Ryan and Aria were riding on.

It was a nuclear-powered submarine of enormous size.

The total length of the nuclear-powered submarines is estimated to be several hundred meters over.

Even when compared to whales, the size of the submarine has a larger size than whales.

Through an electronic telescope displayed in front of a large screen, Ryan and Aria can clearly see the surface of the large nuclear submarine. There, the writing of IU-400 is printed.

You could say, the name IU itself was taken from the name of the submarine that became their headquarters.

In front of this IU submarine, Ryan and Aria's submarine is really small like an ant.

Although the two of them already knew the information regarding the IU submarine from Riko, but just reading the information and seeing it directly, the effect was very different. Ryan and Aria could only be silent to see the magnificent submarine.

Moments later, Aria took a deep breath to calm herself down. "it's a Vostok model submarine right?"

Vostok is the largest nuclear-powered submarine in Japan and Germany.

"I" is the code that Japan uses to be a submarine.

The "U" was the code that Germany used as a submarine.

“Okay, Aria.” Ryan subconsciously lowered his voice and said to Aria, “Let's quickly infiltrate IU.”

After hearing this, Aria immediately responded, patting her on the cheek before asking, "How can we get in?"

"According to the information that Riko gave, at the end of this submarine, there is a water tank that is commonly used for the entry of submarines belonging to IU members who are outside."

"So, we can get in from there" explains Ryan.

"Will but, if we want to get into that water tank, then we have to open the door of the water tank.” Aria quickly said, “How do we open the water tank?”

"In addition to being used for the entry of IU members, the water tank will be opened every six hours for water replacement. We can sneak in by then." 

Ryan smiled and said to Aria, “For that, we have to wait a while longer until the hatch of the water tank opens.”

Aria nodded and patiently waited until the hatch door opened.

While waiting, Ryan and Aria chatted with each other. Until finally, it did not feel like time had been running for an hour.

Suddenly, the bottom of the front end of the huge nuclear submarine slowly opened and turned into a whirlpool.

Without waiting for a long time, the small submarine that Aria and Ryan were driving immediately moved into the submarine following the vortex.

A minute later, the hatch door closed again and made the sea calm again.

Under the sound of water waves, a small submarine surfaced from underwater.

Moments later, the hatch at the top of the small submarine opened. From there, Ryan and Aria get out, setting their feet into the IU-400 submarine.

"OK, the infiltration was successful. Let's go in." said Ryan in a serious tone.
