The Shirayuki

Aware of the lack of information, Ryan decided not to be passive and asked Shirayuki.

"Hotogi-san, you're a miko right? Then why do you want to be Butei?"

This time, the one who answered was not Shirayuki, but rather Kinji.

"Miko from the Hotogi Shrine is very different from Miko from other temples." 

Kinji then looked at Shirayuki and lowered his voice. "Miko of the Hotogi Temple is the Armed Miko. They have a Special Ability called Hotogi Heavenly Art (Hotogi Ten-Gei)."

"Special Capabilities?" Ryan was surprised and looked towards Shirayuki. "Well, I'm curious about the special abilities that girls as sweet as you have. I'm sure it's a very powerful ability."

Shirayuki again blushed in embarrassment while shaking her head. "My special abilities aren't that strong either."

"I still continue to practice this Special Ability of mine. Therefore, I entered Butei High School to increase my strength."

In Butei High School, there is a special division that trains superhumans in honing and improving their Special Abilities.

This division is called Supernatural Selective Research (SSR), or commonly referred to as S-Ken.

This division is not limited to training Special Abilities only, but also Magic, spells, and other supernatural things.

Unlike the usual Butei, the S-Ken disciples are referred to as Choutei, which means Special-Aged Butei. They also had a rank based on his strength level, just like ordinary Butei.

Since Shirayuki can use Special Abilities, she enlists into the S-Ken division.

“Hotogi-san, can I see your Special Ability?” Ryan said half-curious to Shirayuki.

“Shows My Special Ability?” Shirayuki seemed hesitant to do so.

"I don't think you need to know, Ryan. Their world is completely different from ours. If you go too far into it, then your life will not be able to return to normal" said Kinji.

Ryan rolled his eyes hearing Kinji's words. "I've been to this school. Do you expect that my life will be normal during school here?" 

Kinji was silent at Ryan's response.

Ryan then looked back at Shirayuki. "How's Hotogi-san? If you mind, I won't force you."

"Again, I don't want you to hate me for this. I just want to get to know you more closely, Shirayuki ..." Ryan who suddenly called his name directly made Shirayuki misbehave.

"Shi-Shi-Shirayuki ..." murmured Shirayuki. 'He called my name! This is the first time a boy has called my name other than my father!'

In Japan, people used to call their friends by surnames. Only the closest people who call using birth names, such as family, friends, and also girlfriends.

"Well, I'll show you my ability to predict!" shirayuki said with an expression of embarrassment and also delight.

"Preciprocate? Can you predict?" Ryan was curious.

"The "Hotogi Heavenly Art (Hotogi Ten-Gei) of the Hotogi Shrine is not suitable for use in the crowded public places it is today. But, if Special Ability is divining, I can show it here." Shirayuki explained.

Suddenly, Shirayuki sits on the ground in a traditional Japanese way called seiza.

"Huh?" Seeing this, Kinji became panicked. How not, a beautiful girl suddenly sat in a seiza style in front of the school gate without any pedestal. This obviously attracted the attention of many people.

Many Butei High School disciples were shocked and also curious about what Shirayuki was doing.

At the moment when panic struck Kinji, Shirayuki was not at all concerned about this situation. The bashful expression that was shown earlier disappeared, replaced by a very serious expression.

Shirayuki then said to Ryan who was standing in front of her, "Please sit down."

Ryan nodded and immediately sat down in front of Shirayuki.

"It looks like they're new students, I've never seen the faces of those two."

"The girl is pretty sweet."

"The boy is also handsome."

"They both look good, are they dating? In front of the school gate?"

"That's impossible. Who's the crazy guy who does such a thing."

"Let's see what they're really doing."

The Butei High School disciples around Ryan and Shirayuki started whispering to each other and gathered around the two of them.

Unashamed, Kinji sneaked silently from the crowd and directly left the school area.

Ryan and Shirayuki realize that Kinji has left. But they don't care about it.

Shirayuki then took out a deck of cards similar to tarot cards. "This is the divination card that the miko of the Hotogi Temple used to train our Special Ability, which is the ability to predict."

Shirayuki seems to have completely turned into a professional miko. 

Like a holy maiden, Shirayuki's body exuded a sacred aura. He also looks more graceful and dignified.

Shirayuki's hand then placed the cards on a star-shaped formation.

"So, what do you want to know about this prophecy?"

Ryan lowered his head and looked at the array of cards laid out on the ground. "It's up to you, Shirayuki. I just want you to give me a prophecy that really describes me."

Hearing Ryan's request, without any comment, Shirayuki slowly closed her eyes. He then gently stroked the card that was in front of him.

Then, when Shirayuki stopped, three cards had already appeared in her hand.

Ryan was surprised by this. 'When did Shirayuki draw the three cards? I can't even see it at all!'

The three cards are then placed in front of Ryan in a row. After putting it down, Shirayuki opened her eyes and looked at Ryan seriously.

"These three cards represent your past, present, and future."

After saying so, Shirayuki slowly began to open the three cards in front of her.

This made Ryan, as well as the students who were watching all of this become curious. 

Shortly after, the first card opened. On this card, there is a large tree full of chains among the lush trees in the forest.

On the second card, there is a picture of a small ship that was swayed by the swift flow of the river and continued to go without giving up.

Then on the last card, there is a picture of a dark cave formed from rocks.

Looking at the three cards, the reactions of the other Butei High School students were confused by the intent of the images on the three cards. However, the look on Shirayuki's face looked very serious.

"Shirayuki, what's wrong? Is it possible that my past, present, and future are strange?" said Ryan who felt strange with the look of the face shown by Shirayuki.

"No, that's not the problem." Shirayuki shook her head and said a little reluctantly, "Only, the results of this prophecy even look very special."

"Special?" Ryan was curious about the results of his predictions. "I mean how? Can you explain it to me?"

"Then, allow me to explain what these three cards mean." Shirayuki's finger pointed to the first card and said, "This is a card about your past."
