"It's still a subsidiary of Garcia Int, you don't know the rules here, internal auditors are allowed to look at security records."
"Miss Natalie, I'm boss Enrique's boss, don't make it harder for me, how I fight my direct boss." He even squeezed me.
"Where's your boss?"
"In her room, Miss."
When did Louis arrive. I sent a message to Mr. Alan. He said he confirmed to the bast*ard that I have the right to access the security records. But he knew Enrique would definitely ignore him, but Louis would definitely come take care of this.
"I'm in front." A message from Louis. I rushed to see him.
"What do you need?"
"Access to the CCTV footage, I found out he had a connection to Alfonso Santos, one said they were friends and yesterday he came here."
"really. Alfonso Santos?! So bold. Come with me." Louis doesn't seem to be afraid of Enrique.
"Mr Nathan isn't here?"
"No, anyway if we don't get proof talking to him would be useless. Get proof of their meeting. And you'll be able to corner it instantly."
We went into the director's room. Meet with Enrique.
"Enrique long time no see." Louis greeted him immediately.
"Louis? Why are you here?" Enrique looked surprised.
"I was asked to help Alan here. Said you complicated the audit? Internal auditors have the right to any record including security records, that's their way of checking, if you've never faced a central auditor I'd tell you."
"Why need to access CCTV data, don't they check financial records."
"They check everything, the working system review is also included. They'll know if there's an employee who's not doing it right from the CCTV, it'll help you." Louis is smart enough to find excuses.
"They can see the data in ..." Louis raised his hand.
"I'm just here to make sure of that, you want this thing to get to Nathan? All business units have the same rules. You intentionally complicate the auditor? Your choice do I have to call Nathan now? Gosh, can't you see the internal audit warrant they're carrying?!" He challenged Enrique. Sitting quietly on the sofa while crossing her legs, her body language said she had more power than Enrique.
"You never liked me..." Louis is laughing now.
"You talk like a woman, I'm a man why I should like you, the auditors work and you get in the way. Is there something you're hiding?" Now I want to spit out a laugh but I hold on as hard as possible. Still, I had to shut my mouth, holding back the laughter behind Louis.
"And your audit chief thinks he can command me in my place. And he can make you come here?!" Enrique pointed at me who was behind Louis.
"He wants his access as he always does, not to order you. Tell your man to let him access the CCTV footage now, and the problem's over, it just happens to be close by when Alan calls me, and you're wasting my precious time, get this over with, I still have a lot of work to do."
Louis was sitting on the couch, he wasn't talking anymore. I'm waiting to see if Enrique can make him give up.
Finally he took his cell phone and ordered his men to give me access. I won, he won't be able to wiggle this time.
"You better be right about this Natalie, otherwise you'll be attacked back. And I can't help you if you don't get something." Louis talked to me for a while before he left that short visit.
"I understand, I know what I'm doing."
I got a copy of the data I wanted. Work will continue, I'm sure that beautiful Miss Darcy is the one who set it all. If I had been clear about their workflow Darcy I'd have talked to her.
