The POV Kate Heatherton
I entered the courtroom, the court today called witnesses from the prosecution.
Lawyer Armando saw me after I entered the courtroom. This was crucial for her, while I just passed her by while giving her a small smile, maybe I gave her a bad feeling right now. There were Tyson's parents, while Tyson, sitting next to his lawyer, saw me coming.
Maybe he doesn't believe I'm willing to cooperate willingly either. But after his lawyer made a big bet by kidnapping my father it seems he believes he's already won.
After he took his oath. I sit in the witness seat before the judge and jury for this closed trial because it concerns state secrets.
The public prosecutor began his question by asking me the background of my kidnapping and what happened during my kidnapping.
Then play a recording of Tyson Callaway's conversation with Arthur Kulkov, explaining the relationship between Callaway and Kulkov who apparently have a good relationship because his father is also one of the shareholders of EuroChem and has several cooperation as a supplier in the same company.
Of course interspersed with the objections of Callaway's lawyer.
"The objection of His Majesty, the public prosecutor is too tendentious and exaggerates the contents of the phone. Mr. Tyson Callaway heard of the kidnapping plot after it happened. They're good friends, Mr. Tyson was also surprised Arthur Kulkov could kidnap Miss Kate Heatherton." Armando begins with his narrative
"You good friends? How could a good friend react the moment he heard his friend was kidnapped? Are you really good friends?" I grimaced at the judge's words. It's not wrong that anyone who hears about it doesn't believe we're best friends.
"Of course not His Majesty. My friend was, even more glad I was killed. Good fella? He put me as a person who has to adore him, keep me in his team so he can manage my career as he wants, I am not equal to his family, he said, and when I went up to be the head of the unit, he hated me even more." Mr. Armando and the Callaway family looked at me in disbelief. Maybe after this they'll let my father be killed and his body drowned somewhere to avenge me.
"Solicitor, is there anything else you'd like to add about them being friends? You're not having a duel? How can a good friend ask such a thing in the tape?" The judge presiding over the trial would ask.
"I'd like to ask if Miss Kate was sure of what she said just now?" Callaway's lawyer is threatening me, of course.
"Ohhh of course I'm sure. I'm under oath, I can't possibly lie." I smiled with satisfaction at the expression on her face that said that might say.I will reply to you, you will never see your father again.
So I just said something to shorten his mind. "Solicitor, just be patient for a minute I have a surprise for you." So now I'm talking straight in front of her face so she knows what I'm thinking.
"Ohh what a surprise are you talking about Miss Heatherton." The judge was interested.
"That let me explain to His Majesty." The Public Prosecutor interrupted to explain more dramatically.
"Continue I want to hear the surprise, this seems like an exciting story..." The judge seems to think this is a thriller.
"Mr Daniel Heatherton is being kidnapped...."
"That's very much your Majesty. To put pressure on Miss Heatherton saying they were good friends, and smooth Mr. Lawyer's narrative that they had no problems. Our Suspect's lawyer wrote down a narrative that the suspect 'just' heard Miss Heatherton was kidnapped without involvement and washed his hands of her involvement, even denying that she leaked all Miss Heatherton's data to Arthur Kulkov."
"You're making a serious accusation, Mr. Lawyer, you have proof of your remark, after this I'll make a claim on you directly!" Mr. Armando pointed directly at the prosecutor.
"Proof?! Of course, I brought 2 of his captors, Mr. Heatherton himself and the email you sent from your office IP address to communicate with the kidnapper and it has been verified by FBI investigators, that IP address is related to your office!"
Mr. Armando is now frozen in place after the prosecution accuses him in his face.
"Continue..." The judge was stunned to hear this incredible detail.
"I will make it clear to Your Majesty, a week ago, when the proceedings of this trial have already begun, Mr. Daniel Heatherton, he said, The father of Kate Heatherton gets himself watched and stalked by someone at his place of business in Brooklyn. In short, the kidnapper watched him for five days and the only way to kidnap Mr. Heatherton was to intercept him in a park, but it turns out that Mr. Heatherton even caught them with the help of his friends. In his communications, they were paid 30,000 dollars to kidnap Mr. Heatherton to hold him for a week, or as long as necessary. Miss Heatherton's side reported to me, and I made sure myself that the one who sent them was Mr. Armando. And two days ago, you threatened Miss Heatherton impliedly to support her narrative, even sending her details of what to answer at this hearing. Your Honor, this is all IP evidence, abduction order conversations, a list of questions Miss Heatherton has to answer, even a recording of Mr. Lawyer's conversation forces Miss Heatherton to exist. Right now Mr. Lawyer thinks he's still holding Mr. Heatherton, even though they're all in the witness room and he confidently tells his narrative that Miss Heatherton and the Suspect are best friends. That's what happened, Your Majesty." The prosecution finished his words and put Callaway's lawyer in front of his face.
All evidence is given to the Judge as well as to the Jury. He's headed to Armando.
"Sir Attorney, proof of your crime." And with a smile the public prosecutor gave one map a copy of the same evidence he gave to others. "Ohhh your kidnapper's in the witness room right now. Soon you can greet them." The prosecution even patted Mr. Armando on the shoulder and smiled.
"Mr Lawyer, you seem to be really in big trouble right now. Kidnap a family member of a witness to suppress him?" The judge examined all the evidence while looking at Lawyer Callaway, who now appears to be tongue-tied. Everyone who was allowed to attend now spoke to each other discussing the case.
I now see all parts of the Callaway family pale, Tyson looking at me in disbelief.
"You sneaky criminal! You took my money and tricked me out of the blue!" Mr. Callaway who attended the hearing pointed at me angrily.
"Ohhh what money?" The judge immediately asked.
"To smooth his intention of freeing his son Mr. Callaway gave a million dollars as bribes to His Majesty's witnesses." Prosecutors answer.
"Miss Heatherton, really..." The judge asked me.
"Really, Your Majesty, do I need to return it? He handed me over to Russia and kidnapped my father." I immediately asked back to the judge who was smiling a little at me.
"As for you, I think he's a fool and you're smart. They meet people who can finally silence them. This rich man felt his money could manage many things. Now they're getting the stones." The judge shook his head and sighed. "Well this is the court I want to hear from FBI expert witnesses who analyze this IP address first. After that Mr. Heatherton and his captors."
The rest of the day ended shamefully for Callaway's stronghold, while his lawyer faces new charges for kidnapping. I'm sure there's no way for them to get away this time.
