"You didn't find any trace of him!?" It's midnight but Kate hasn't shown up yet, and anyone thinks something's clearly going on with her. At nine, Kate sent a message that she'd be back from dinner soon to Nathan, which should be up to ten at maximum. Nathan was waiting for him to come home but even his phone was off when Nathan called him at ten because it hadn't arrived yet. Everyone was busy at that time.
"We found his car parked, but the security cameras were deliberately tampered with. We're looking at all the cameras over there sir, Mr. Reed, his superiors have been alerted as well. Mr. Reed already said he'd form a team right now...." At midnight they confirmed Kate had been kidnapped by someone.
"You said you were Josh's girlfriend, ..report everything Mr. Team did. Reed, me and Howard will form their own team. Don't let them smuggle Kate out of the U. S., my guess is they found out Kate and I were connected to the federal government on the case
Who might be involved in this, Nathan realizes Kate is involved in danger because of him. Arthur Kulkov, Callaway, Oguri, Elizabeth Ailes.
He felt very guilty about taking off the girl's escort. Within a month of her hands off the Dimitroff case she thought they wouldn't bother Kate again, let alone this week Kate's been in NY, it seems the girl will be safe. But it turns out he was wrong, somehow the guy tried to kidnap Kate. The catch is related to Dimitroff, because who has access to information Kate already in NY is Arthur Kulkov most likely through Tyson Callaway.
"Tap Arthur Kulkov and Tyson Callaway, I'll call the boss and get his permission. Hack cell phone conversations, ask for his notes, anyone he calls I want to know, find the connection, keep an eye on them 24 hours, he said, I want to know them I want to know what they've had contact with in the last two weeks." He took actions he knew should be done immediately.
"Yes Sir, ..."
"I'm going to have Liam Logan help me, he's the best we've got in the agency, I want us to have someone with experience dealing with kidnapping. Wrong-wrong they'll use it reducing the offer for Dimitroff. He must be found quickly." Liam was one of the CIA specialists to deal with kidnappings with a possible ransom like this.
Everyone is working now researching whatever they can get to track Kate's whereabouts.
Five hours from the kidnapping.
Two men crossed route 81 and had already reached Virginia territory, away from NY, away from a blockade that may have been set up by police an hour later after they realized the girl was missing. Kate is in the trunk of a car behind them while the kidnapping operation is set to cross the first safe point of the border town of Reynosa, Mexico.
"We're told to smuggle FBI agents into a border town, once we're caught out, I'll be in federal prison for the rest of my life." The Mexican gangster named Jose was the one who would guide them across the border.
"Don't worry, this lane is safe, we've even changed cars nobody can find us. There's one more time we change cars, no one can find us ." One undercover Russian agent named Vasily, they will break through at least 30 hours drive to get to the border town.
And Kate was forced to enter with her hands tied and injected with drugs in the back of the car. The girl will be asleep for a minimum of eight hours and they will rest in a house on track 81 heading south. Make sure their targets live up to the border.
"In 3 hours we'll get home and rest, and get this girl out to eat."
"Who is this beautiful girl?"
"He offended someone, someone paid a fortune to take him alive to Mexico. The rest you don't need to know for your own safety." Vasily won't tell you who he is. This girl will end up in Russia in the next 72 hours. And it'll end up as a prisoner exchange. Even his name was Albert now, not his real name, but he paid this guy a huge sum to smuggle him in.
They take the girl out in a secluded house in Virginia, the empty house is a secret operative base of agents like Vasily. The secluded house with lots of trees blocking the view near route 81 looks unkempt but can still be used.
Vasily shouldered the bound girl, Kate could not resist with the crumbling body. Took him to a room with an iron bed. He opened the plaster in his mouth. Her clothes were ransacked, replaced with T-shirts to avoid her having tracking gear.
"I want the bathroom, please." The first thing he said from earlier. The man cut the ties on his feet. Kate can't even stand up right now because her legs are tied up for so long. Vasily knew the girl was suffering. But he doesn't care, his mission is to make sure the girl gets out of the US safely.
But Kate, knowing and wondering why she was kidnapped, tried to calm down and cooperate, and she knew they wouldn't kill her. If they want him dead he's dead from last night. All he's doing now is looking for an opportunity to escape or signal.
Kate is trying to walk straight to the toilet right now. He opened his hand and watched her. And when the bathroom door opened, she knew the girl was an FBI agent. He won't give her a chance to escape.
"Surely do your business." She doesn't care about Kate being uncomfortable. His eyes were open watching the girl. "My job is just to bring you alive, the hurt you've caused if you don't cooperate will be your choice. And I'm warning you I won't hesitate to hurt you." A 30-something-faced man with no smile watched her at the door.
Kate needs to keep herself whole, at least after this they'll tie her to bed. He will have time to breathe and think calmly. He did not look at the man finishing his business quickly.
"You're calm enough, not crying?" Kate saw him back, this guy was cruel, decisive, gave her no room to beg for anything. He was silent when the man handcuffed him in a detention room. Iron bed nailed to the floor.
"Who told you to?Arthur Kulkov?" Kate tried to pull a caption.
"You're not gonna take anything from me Kate." She calls Kate by her real name, Coret Oguri and Elizabeth Ailes. Chances are now that Tyson gave this kidnapper his real name and file.
"You call me Kate? You got my file?Who gave you that?"
"It turns out you've got a lot of enemies with second names. I have your files, if you try to escape, that will be the victim of not just you, but your family. Your dad's in Brooklyn or your mom's in San Francisco. So you better think about your actions again..." He patted the girl's cheek.
"Ban! If you dare touch my family..."
"I dare." She answered Kate calmly. "You can try it."
Kate's not afraid of her empty threats. If he can get away there is someone who will secure his family. But he didn't answer it of course.
"I'll feed you. Stay here, if you try anything with me, I'll beat you up."
He was waiting for a chance to escape. Gather himself for a while. While the small room was indeed meant to hold hostages, there was only an iron bed with a thin foam mattress here, while his hands were cuffed to his head.
