6 Types of kimono in Japan.
Homoungi.
Literally this means a visiting kimono. And in general it can be interpreted as an evening dress. Used to visit official events such as weddings, tea events, kabuki or other official events in Japan. It can be worn by married or unmarried women.
Furisode
Furisode is a long-sleeved kimono with bright motifs. Usually worn only by girls. Usually only in wedding ceremonies by brides maid and in maturation ceremonies of girls once they enter the age of 20 years. To complete the kimono extravaganza is usually a hairdo and makeup is very cheerful.
Usually families award furisodes to 20-year-old girls, who pass the Seijin Seiki maturation ceremony, a sign they have entered adulthood.
Furisode is quite expensive due to the quality of the materials used. A set can range US 10,000 and a rental of around USD 1,500
Tomesodes
This is the top of the kimono. Its characteristic is a pattern that only exists below the waist, while the top is plain without pattern.
Usually only worn at important events by the immediate family of the bride. And for the black one specifically for Mom (for the married one)
While the colored can be worn by close family either married or not.
Yukata
Yukata literally means clothes for bathing. The most casual form of kimono. Can be used to attend festifal, outdoor summer events.
Hakama
Hakama is a kimono originally worn by men (usually black) but developed for young girls.
These hausara are usually worn for school graduation ceremonies and young girls dress for a visit.

I wore a peach-colored Homongiku kimono with bright flowers. I feel beautiful today. And last night was an unforgettable night.
I can't sleep because I'm too happy. It felt like I was hovering above the clouds, but strangely I didn't feel tired. Is this what it feels like to fall in love is really crazy, I do not stand on earth anymore because I am happy. But I was still afraid, I would cry in the end.
It's the spring of my love, could there be autumn and cold ahead of me.
When the rainbow looks beautiful, there will be a storm waiting ahead.
I don't know, I just want to enjoy it.
Que sera sera said a song that ran through my mind. What will happen will happen, the future is not ours to see...
I didn't dare go to the gym this morning. I was afraid to see it with just that training singlet, my face would blush. I chatted with Nanao in the kitchen, helped him make breakfast. Going out for a walk, disappearing cleared my mind.
When I got home I asked Nanao to help me put on my kimono. Maybe he asked me where I was, but I just wanted to disappear for a while, because being with him was too intoxicating.
"Beautiful, ..." Hisao praised me when I came out of my room." And I smiled just like that with her sweet words.
"Thank you." I looked at him neatly with his coat. He always seemed to have his own charisma in that suit.
"Thank you another way..." He wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me closer. Now that I've gotten used to the fragrance of her perfume, the fragrance of cedar and green apple always reminds me of her.
"What do you want?"
"Kiss..." I grimaced at him. "Don't be too stingy."
"Alright, close your eyes."
"Why should I close my eyes?"
"Just close your eyes." I was embarrassed to see me kiss him. The reason is simple actually.
"All right." He closed his eyes. I had to tiptoe to kiss her and it was just a short kiss. And soon he opened his eyes to get me back with anxiety.
"You're very stingy..." Now I'm laughing because he's protesting about my short kiss.
"We have to go. We'll be late." I offered to leave, but he took a breath. "Why..."
"So this morning I didn't see you? Where did you disappear to?" He protested I avoided him from the morning.
"I'm just walking around in this neighborhood. Aren't you seriously training." I hid my smile.
"Hmm...didn't you deliberately avoid me?"
"No, it's just your feeling."
"really?" His eyebrows rose in disbelief.
"Yes, let's go." I pulled his hand. This time, it seems he gave up. He followed my steps towards the first floor.
Looking at a wedding, we call it Shinzen Shiki. Makes me dream it. As I walked in the cool temple with Hisao. I realized maybe I'd never experience this. I'm not the right person for him. I sighed, many times I had to convince myself my life was easier if it went with the flow.
Consider it a changing season, happiness comes and goes. But still it hurts to imagine taking it off and not having it.
Me and Hisao followed with wisdom their journey into the temple for the ceremony. Shinto prayers are recited at the beginning of the ceremony then they will exchange drinking wedding sake, called san-san kudo, then recitation of the wedding commitment and finally exchanging rings, this is taken from western tradition.
And after the ceremony was over, the white veil was opened and we did a photo together with the family. Be happy with them.
"Something's changed from you two." Yuki saw us holding hands.
"Ahaaa, we have a new partner it seems." I smiled broadly.
"Urus is your wife, don't take care of my business." Hisao quickly answered him while embracing his best friend.
"It turns out he can't let a pretty girl be alone for long. " Yuki who always spoke blatantly laughed at Hisao.
"May you also have your happiness later." Satomi expressed her good wishes for me.
"Thank you dear Satomi, may you also be happy always." I accept all good hopes. May the universe hear it somehow and the flow of destiny lead me down the path of the best.
We'll meet them again later tonight for the dinner reception. And later tonight I'll see Satomi will be wearing a gorgeous colorful uchikake.
"They're a compatible couple, how long have they been as lovers." I asked on our way home.
"I think it's about four years if I don't remember wrong."
"Told enough to know." Will our relationship be that long. When he's going to be introduced to someone by his family, that's when I'm going to start having to prepare to let go and forget about it.
"They're a couple who've known for a long time, they were friends in college. Finally met at work."
"It looks so romantic, friends become lovers." I smiled imagining it.
"Are we not romantic?"
"We always fought before."
"Then from now on we will make a romantic type of quarrel." I glanced at him with sanctions.
"Where is the quarrel type but romantic."
"I'm romantic." I sneered at him. He laughed to see me not believing it.
"All right, you'll know later. Let's just go get some food. Afternoon we have to go back to meet them and my friends."
We're getting ready for the dinner. More friends Hisao knew would come. Including Hikaru, Sato and Kenji. This time I wore a modern black dress, keeping with the elegant and polite model.
"Hmm.according to my observation from afar, according to the signs I observed. You're already lovers." Kenji was the first to shoot our body language. I just smiled and bowed to them for courtesy and was introduced to their respective women who accompanied them.
"I'll never be blamed again for Aoki. You know I'm afraid his grandfather's coming and making a mess in Roppongi and especially blaming me. Now I'm calm..." Hikaru was now grateful.
Hisao laughing.
"Yes, Setsuko is now my lover."
"After two years you've finally found another one. I'm worried about you. I was wrong to say, do you know Setsuko's story."
"Hisao-san told me a little bit..."
"Ahhh. means he is close to you."
We talked and joined some of the ones we knew later at the party. Hisao was also asked to give a little speech to congratulate the bride. The bride and groom sat at the table and got our congratulations.
Recipes party events in Japan are not big just family and close friends. The difference is that sitting near the bride is a person who is respected, especially the boss and friends. Instead the family sat at the farthest table. It is the Japanese philosophy of honoring guests.
She's at the end of a party a guest came to us, a woman and her daughter. I slightly retreated and did not hold Hisao's hand anymore. I guessed something.
"Hisao-san, uh,..." A young lady greeted Hisao first.
"Aunt Mayuri, Miss Kimiko." He bowed back and I followed Hisao.
"Ahh turns out you're one of the bridal friends too. I never thought I'd meet you here, just met your Mom and Dad yesterday."
"Yes I'm a friend of the groom."
"We still include the bride's aunt." The aunt smiled. "And this is your beloved."
"Yes this is my lover Setsuko..."
"Ahh I thought yesterday your mother mentioned you haven't had a boyfriend but it turns out to be a pity. I thought you and Kimiko could be friends, too bad." Hisao. Maybe you answer it. I also touched because he had already introduced me as a lover.
"Ahh forgive me."
"No, why do you have to apologize. But Kimiko is a good girl. Maybe you guys can make good friends later too." He didn't think I existed and kept pushing his own son forward.
"certain. Friends are always good." Hisao answered diplomatically.
"Then we will return. Good night Hisao-san."
"Good night Auntie."
They're away.
"People who want to be betrothed to you?"
"He only tried his luck after I subtly rejected him. Just leave him alone. Don't think about it..."
I got worried. I really don't have to think about it.
