“Come,” said Kayden grabbed Gwen's hand when the woman stopped, as she struggled to drag the cold air into the pores of the skin. “There's a limousine waiting for us. Let's go in before we freeze.”
A few minutes after they got into the car, the luxury vehicle finally drove smoothly. Gwen let her head droop onto the backrest of the returned skin. He looked very tired after the trip. While Kayden himself, he looked as fresh as ever.
“What time is it now?” gwen asked, really experiencing unpleasant turmoil on her stomach.
“Nearly morning,” Kayden replied. “About six o'clock in the morning local time,” he explained as he caught Gwen's expression so tired that her eyes had difficulty focusing.
Along the way, the limousine car carrying them seemed to run smoothly, but there was no chatter between the husband and wife. Kayden who saw Gwen was very tired, he ordered the driver to increase his speed to get to the destination.
An hour and a half passed. The car that carried them finally stopped outside a graceful place with an entrance in the form of a large circular veranda. Officers in white uniforms were waiting to open the car door for them.
“Welcome, Mr. Kim, Mrs. Kim,” said a young man in an old brown uniform, thus making Gwen surprised because the young man bowed and found out their identity. And Kayden, he looked ordinary and not surprised at all.
“My wife is exhausted, Josh,” Kayden said in the unformal style typical of someone who visits here often. “Do we get the usual suite room?”
“Yes, Sir.” With a snap of his fingers, Josh told two waiters in white uniforms to get their luggage out of the limousine trunk. “Let's come with me, we'll clear up all the formalities.” With light and agile steps, Josh walked in front of them.
Gwen was somewhat amazed by the special service they received as she followed silently. Kayden himself possessively held onto his wife's arm, but the woman let her husband do it.
Gwen knew Kayden was an important person. After all, her husband was the great leader of the Kim Corporation. So, as far as possible Gwen should play her role as a happy wife Kayden Kim.
After a chek in the luxury hotel that only takes a few seconds, Josh escorts them to the elevator. He politely let her in first before catching up behind and arranging the elevator to move.
Gwen was so tired that she almost collapsed. And, as Kayden embraced his shoulder to lean on him, of course Gwen did not bother to fight back as she needed to let the man prop up as her weight.
“Hold in a minute,” says Kayden softly. “After this, you can soak warm water for a long time to refresh yourself before we eat.”
“I don't want to eat. I just want to drop my body onto the bed,” said Gwen withstanding the drowsiness.
“Can't!” Kayden refused. “After bathing, eating, then you can sleep soundly without any interruption. Trust me,” she added, as soon as she saw the protesting expression on Gwen's face.
“Trust me. This man's two favorite words,” thought Gwen while leaning wearyly on Kayden.
A faint smile was reflected in Kayden's mouth as he watched Gwen, but she had no sign of softening. His sturdy chin was still sticking out full of stubborn determination.
Gwen herself she just let out a stifled breath. “You bullied me. Someday I will oppress you, Kay,” promised while holding me back.
“Really?” kayden said, then smiling. “Good. I'll look forward to it.”
A few minutes later, they arrived at a luxurious suite with gray carpet and furniture. Gwen barely had time to observe the spacious sitting room with its long, gently curved sofa and elegant dining table, before Kayden grabbed her hand again. Josh was already allowed to leave, and Kayden guided Gwen through another door.
Gwen sighed as she passed through the spacious and luxurious bedroom equipped with a gray satin blanket. Then, he sat down, “Gosh .. The bed seemed to shout calling my name.”
“Bathroom there,” says Kayden breaks Gwen's daydream. “Mand let your body fresh. While I'll check the bags.”
Grumbling in annoyance and without thinking for long, Gwen went straight into the bathroom. He then soaked in the tub when the warm water cooled and warmed his skin. “Basic Kayden Kim Authoritarian! Always reigning over his heart. Shitty, sucks, sucks!” gwen then drowned her body under the foam.
Gwen actually realized that she could not relax for too long. The woman was too uptight after Kayden's sometimes sweet treatment, then returned to ruling her by force.
Thirty minutes passed, Gwen wrapped her body in a snow-white bathrobe hanging behind the bathroom door. Gwen returned to her room and found her luggage had been dismantled and prepared for her.
In the closet, it appears to hang a set of new clothes that Gwen does not know. Kayden apparently chose a plain brown linen shirt dress with brown leather buttons on the front and a matching leather belt.
Gwen frowned as she had never seen the suit in her entire life—as well as the matching brown blazer hanging beside her. In fact, the brown leather shoes were neatly placed on the floor, as well as the beige silk underwear placed on the bed.
“What the fuck is this?” exclaim Gwen. “Very, very, and very surprising to me. I barely recognized any of those items,” said Gwen, who was still furrowing her brows, then began to feel the rumble of the first rebellion bubbling within her.
“Have you felt better?” Suddenly Kayden appeared at the door of the room.
Gwen put her hand into the pocket of the bathrobe and slowly turned to face the man. “Where's all this stuff from?” his tan while frowning his forehead deep until his eyebrows almost connect.
“Why?” Kayden responded casually. “You don't like?”
“Not a matter of likes or dislikes,” said Gwen slightly raised her voice. “This is not my outfit. Where did all my clothes go that I had prepared myself before we got here?”
“Oh,” says Kayden briefly. “That's all your new clothes,” the man explained. “Before we get here, I've called Josh to tell him to buy him all your new clothes according to your size. So, it should fit and—”
“What?” Gwen's eyes widened in surprise. “You're crazy, huh? How can you get a stranger to buy me all clothes including my underwear,” she cried holding her wrath.
“His mother Josh was shopping, Gwen ..” Kayden told her then sighed tiredly. “Then from that you should not rush to conclude. After all, my brain is also still sane. I would never have another man buy you clothes let alone your underwear.”
Gwen immediately heaved a sigh of relief. Then, he asked as he frowned deeply, “But where are my own things, Kay?”
“I threw away!” the answer was short without guilt while shrugging his shoulders. It's true what he said. Secretly unbeknownst to Gwen, she had ordered Uncle Rob to throw away all of Gwen's belongings and clothes, when the woman was in the car before leaving for the airport. He threw away everything that concerned his wife's past. The past with Rainer. Then, he blatantly glanced at his watch. “Listen, Gwen. I have to make two phone calls before we—”
“Gosh ..!” exclaim Gwen in frustration. “Kayden!” He stopped her before she could turn around. “When? When did you throw away all my stuff, Kay?” tanyanya did not believe.
