Slightly Softened
Gwen thought Kayden was going to leave her then, but it turned out that she was wrong. Kayden suddenly paused for a moment, then turned to look at what was happening. Feeling guilty, he returns and apologizes to Gwen for the accident, and asks her if she is okay.
The collision left Gwen asphyxiated, and the fact that she instantly recognized him as a big boss that people rarely saw other than on the executive floor, only made her even more nervous. Gwen recalled the moment when she immediately blushed, but she immediately turned her eyes away from Kayden's figure as the man leaned over to help Gwen gather the scattered files.
Kayden Kim will never run away from his responsibilities. It proved so clear as he squatted that his dark trousers tightened on his sturdy thigh to again help Gwen scoop up the papers and return them to the messy file map.
Gwen then muttered in gratitude as Kayden handed over his file, and the man nodded in agreement before he re-enforced himself to his towering and frightening figure. In fact, that's basically all Gwen remembers.
Since then, their eyeballs have been blaring. There were only a few small memories when Gwen looked up and Kayden lowered her head until her pair of sharp black beads seemed to penetrate right into the woman. A few seconds later, Kayden smiled faintly as he nodded again and passed leaving Gwen standing there staring blankly, while the man joined his impatiently waiting relationship.
Their meeting should have ended there. Unfortunately, the universe does not allow it. Every day Kayden thought about the woman he hit so he had trouble concentrating on his job.
The strange gelenyar spread to the curls of his heart. His heart was pounding every time he thought of the woman. Is there something wrong with him? Or maybe he made a mistake and hurt her? Or .. This is what it's like to fall in love at first sight, considering her whole life she doesn't know what it's like to be in love. He thought it was getting worse.
To cope with the turmoil of his confusion that found no answer, the next day Kayden ventured to appear beside Gwen's desk and pounded uncomfortably, leaving Gwen shocked.
“I sure owe you an apology,” Kayden said with his face strained, as if he had trouble apologizing. Not only that, adjacent to the woman's work her heart pounded faster and her hands were cold sweat. According to him, he must immediately decide something if he does not want to embarrass himself even further in front of the woman. “Continue your work.” Without waiting for a response from Gwen, he immediately rushed out from before her because he did not know what to say. And the most important thing is that he had to neutralize the work of his heart that from now on seemed to want to stick out of place.
Gwen just blinked at Kayden's wide, sturdy back that began to disappear behind the walls of her room. He wondered why such a big boss like this guy would bother to do that? Gwen was Kayden's junior secretary among the many secretaries who filled all the tables in this vast typing center.
A few weeks later, when Gwen was sent to do urgent work for Rainer, it was unexpected that there was interest in each other between her and her big boss' sister. Rainer suddenly brings up the incident of his older brother hitting a woman because other employees lunged at him so that the woman is trapped. Rainer then smiled broadly telling what happened afterwards.
“Kayden very angry,” so says Rainer. “Once he sent us upstairs, he attacked David part of HRD.” From his expression it was seen that Rainer thought all of that was funny. “He said, if David is unable to apply the basics of modesty, what is he working for? David who was listening to her just silently looked at her because he was confused. He wondered what he had done that was so severely reprimanded by our great boss Kayden Kim. And poor David was ordered to find out who you are, Gwen.”
Gwen frowned before she asked, “For what?”
“Ya .. especially if not apologise to you,” replied Rainer casually.
Gwen flinching. But he recalled the incident in which Kayden Kim apologized to him.
“You know, Gwen? He scolded David in front of all of us. Obviously we were very surprised by his overreaction. Kayden's actions were ridiculous. We thought you were taken to the hospital or something. Turns out you didn't even get scratched in the slightest, did you?” Rainer asked curiously.
Those memories are what unfortunately only now Gwen knows when lying in bed that she will use with Kayden tonight, that the way Rainer spoke back then had put the man among the herd that lunged and nearly trampled on him. Gwen had not noticed it before.
And it was only Kayden who at that time cared so much to stop. Only Kayden was looking at it more than just ‘ ridiculous actions’ as Rainer thought. Kayden was in the manner of a real man apologizing to him.
In contrast to Rainer Kim. His figure was the next burden that so stifled Gwen's chest. Rainer, Kim's younger man, is more cheerful and less scary and not as complicated a man as his older half-brother. But now, Gwen knows very well that Rainer Kim has a more shallow mind, more selfish, and more betrayal to her.
“Gwen!” The heavy voice that called out from the other room made his eyes widen in shock so as to disperse the woman's daydream.
“Iya, I'm coming!” answer Gwen. He then jumps down from the bed, staggered by a mix of overwhelming fatigue as well as the agonizing confusion about the path of destiny that will lead him to the journey of his life.
Gwen looked down at the bed for a moment, imagined two heads on a pillow as white as snow, then she shuddered to reject whatever had slipped into her mind. “No,” whispered to himself.

Their food had just been delivered as soon as Gwen walked into the dining room. Kayden's voice sounded impatient as he ordered the waiter to leave the heated trolley beside the dining table before telling him to leave.
Intrigued by the fragrance of green tea, Gwen walked to the table and sat down. His eyeballs carefully avoided the piercing gaze that Kayden had aimed at him.
Kayden's cell phone rang when Gwen poured him a cup of green tea. As Kayden was just passing by the room, the woman realized there was a large wooden table that she had not noticed before, and the top disappeared into a high mound of files.
“No wonder he looks impatient. While I was relaxing in the room, Kayden was busy working hard, Gwen's inner” was grim.
Gwen then cleared her throat before she asked, “Kay, do you want green tea too?” With his voice sounding relaxed despite the fact that he was as stiff as a piano string, Gwen offered because she could not bear to see Kayden who looked very busy. “Or did you take a shower first?”
Kayden glanced at the watch, then sighed tiredly. “Yes, I want green tea,” she decided. “Two sugar spoons.” And he was seen trying to calm the tension off his shoulders while joining his wife.
Kayden was just one step away when his phone rang again. Sighing, he shifted his clumsy phone screen to receive the phone call. “Don't call for another half hour. I still eat with my wife.” He ordered whoever was at the end of the line, then put his cell phone on the dinner table. It was clear that his face was tormented while sitting across from Gwen.
“What's all okay?” Gwen ventured to ask while handing the man a cup of green tea.
“Thank you,” said Kayden, then he smiled faintly as he received the cup of green tea. “Ya, all is well.” He then sipped his green tea with a heart that flowered. This is not the first time Gwen made a drink for him because the woman was her junior secretary who always prepared it. However, the junior secretary now changed her status to be his rightful wife in the eyes of God and the State. It is this little concern of a beloved woman that he has been waiting for for years.
“Do you always have to work at such speed?”
Kayden smiled wryly before he said, “This is one of the trials of being a great businessman.” He was making fun of himself.
“You keep working, never have fun?”
“Eccasionally. It was just swimming at home,” Kayden replied casually.
Gwen instantly widened her eyes upon hearing Kayden's reply. “You call that having fun?”
Kayden grinned when he saw Gwen's expression and question. "Why? Weird, huh?"
"Bu-not so ..." Gwen was wrong at once. She didn't mean to offend her husband. He was a little surprised, how could a rich man like Kayden Kim who was famous for his intelligence especially his good looks, not know how to have fun. Impossible, he thought.
“I have to make a lot of money, Gwen," said Kayen flatly. "You know, right? Thousands of employees depend on me. Behind them is a family to live in.”
“Iya .. I know your responsibility is so great. But you have to please yourself too, don't you?”
“How to please yourself, Gwen?” ask Kayden grimly. “While I don't know how to please myself.”
