Touching Your Heart

Touching Your Heart
First Time Meeting

“You want to see it again?” ask Kayden. Teasing Gwen with a cold, squinted look of eyes.

“Gosh .. But kan—”

“No but-fireplace,” cut Kayden. “I hate to see those things. So I got rid of him. Even if you object, it's too late. You are now my wife, Gwen,” she added grimly. “Not Rainer's wife. And the things you bought to please her would certainly not and would not at all please me.”

“But what about all that money, Kay?” exclaim Gwen. Whether Kayden was right or wrong, he didn't like to see the man squander money.

Kayden smiled with a grin before he said, “Whose money? Rainer's money you mean?”

Gwen lowered her head immediately. It is true, Rainer was the one who had spent money for his wedding. Gwen is only a junior secretary with minimal income. As Rainer explained to him when talking about their honeymoon, Gwen would be his responsibility. So, why should he not pay for the kind of clothes he wished and wore his wife?

“No need to worry about that,” Kayden said. “Because whatever money Rainer spent on you, it came from me. So spending money is my business, not yours. There change clothes,” his orders, anger flashing in his eyes. The man didn't like it if Rainer's name was mentioned back among their chatter. “There is a business banquet that we have to attend tonight. But earlier, we had to head to my office to pick up some documents that I needed to learn before we met these people,”.

Initially it was the plan Kayden himself who would attend the dinner with his relations. However, now that plan had changed because his frustration with Gwen had not subsided.

“Kita?” Gwen's head jerked upright, she held her breath in surprise. “Gosh .. but I need to sleep all day .. Kayden!” yells. “After all you don't need me to—”

“Your name now, Gwen Sandriana Kim, Big Lady Kim.” Kayden cut the woman's sentence. He then approached her, and her fingers pressed against Gwen's shoulders hard. “Listen,” says Kayden. “In the eyes of all, we are husband-wife. And as a wife, it is your duty to be by my side while I entertain them. Is that too big a request?”

“Ti-no. Of course not,” replied Gwen nervously.

“Good.” Kayden nodded. “So, would you come with me to my office, or would you rather sit here maratapi your lost hand?” he said it hurt Gwen.

The woman did not understand why Kayden had suddenly attacked her like this. Where was the softness eleven hours ago? Thought bleak.

“I'll come with you,” Gwen agreed flatly. “But, as long as you know. I don't care what you do with those clothes. But I mind if you imply that I'm a materialistic woman! I used to love Rainer. And I decided to marry her because of her person whom I thought was real—not because she was rich so I got anything out of her!”

“You still can't unmask Rainer.” Kayden replied coldly. “But in the end he will betray you too, right?”

Gwen lowered her head, the cruel taunts again hurting her.

“Listen,” said Kayden continued, turning impatient. “I'm sick of hearing Rainer's name from your lips. I don't like the chat between us bringing up his name.”

Gwen raised her head impatiently. “Oh, For God's sake, Kayden!” yells. “But you forced me to say his name.”

“Ap-what do you mean?” Gwen gasped, starting to get dizzy with all the shock Kayden had thrown her.

Kayden slowly turned to face him, his eyes narrowed and was very alert as he asked carefully, “About what, exactly?”

“Kayden,” his sigh, deep unease made the tip of his tongue wet his suddenly dry lips. “We don't share this room, right?”

“Of course,” Kayden told him, his eyes narrowed even more as the remaining glimmer of color vanished from Kayden's face.

“This suite room with one room. Of course we have to share.”

Gwen looked at him in horror. Suite room with one room and one bed. “No,” whispered as a danger sign struck like a thousand sharp needles through it. “It's not fair. I've done everything you wanted, Kay. But I don't want to sleep in bed with you.”

“Why not?” pressed Kayden, then he smiled grinning. “No sin prevents husband and wife from sleeping in the same bed.”

“In this case there is,” Gwen refuted, trying hard to keep her voice as calm as Kayden. The man can't sleep with her. Gwen then shook her head before she said, “I just can't and I refused!”

Kayden sighed tiredly before he said, “Listen, Gwen. This was the best suite when I came here. And everyone in this hotel knows me. What do you think of them if I suddenly ask for a two-room suite, when they know I just married a beautiful woman?”

Gwen gulped, deeply understanding the man. “Tapi—” Suddenly phone in another room rings.

“Be a good wife and get dressed,” Kayden said as he turned to answer the phone, adding casually to the back of the shoulders, “I'll all order food and we'll eat here now because it's too late. “Fifteen minutes, Gwen,” she finished firmly.

“No wonder he became a brilliant businessman,” Gwen said after being left behind, staring blankly at it. “The man can tear apart any rebuttal without having to bother. And I should have remembered that.” Then he lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling with a feeling of helplessness.

Working for the Kim Corporation, Gwen would be blind and deaf if she didn't know anything about the man who paid her. Not because he had been in contact with Kayden Kim—, not also because he often saw him in his office room that is multilevel and spacious, so that the boss who occupies the top floor rarely sets foot where his men work. However, Gwen recalled the brief moment before she met Rainer, when her eyes collided with Kayden's black bead.

At that time, Gwen was walking down the corridor with her arms full of files she had just taken from the archive. Under such circumstances, he could not dodge to the side as people rushed towards him like flocks of cattle, thus getting stuck between the walls of those human bodies. They had tried to avoid it, but Gwen let it go.

However, a rather gruesome-looking man with an aggressive squeak on his face accidentally punched Gwen's arm so hard that she staggered, the files flying in one direction, and his body fell in the other direction.

The man did not even apologize, instead stepping away without turning his head to look at the mess he had left behind. Yes, that man is Kayden Kim the big boss at the Kim Corporation.
