Touching Your Heart

Touching Your Heart
Feel Better

“Come, we find Helen!” get Emma excited after first releasing her arms into her husband's arms, then move to embrace Gwen's arms so that she jerks from her daydream. “And I will help you tell her to include your name in our tour trip list,” she explained, ending with a smile so friendly.

“Well, dear,” said Endru before continuing his sentence. “if you want to find Helen, do not leave me too long here.”

“Relax .. I was just a moment,” Emma said as she pulled Gwen's arm to walk, looking for Helen the tour guide in charge of her group.

The embrace of the middle-aged woman was so warm that it reminded Gwen of Aunt Melinya. Gwen then sighed because she had just remembered, since starting from the first time to set foot in London until this moment, she had not informed her aunt and uncle. He also plans to contact them tomorrow to ask the news and let go of his longing.

As they walked, Emma frowned, glancing slightly at Gwen as she fell silent. His face also looked lethargic, not so excited like a few minutes ago. Then, Emma asked, “Are you not interested in walking with middle-aged people like us?”

Gwen who heard it, turned to Emma while shaking her head. “Bu-not that. Please don't misunderstand me,”. “Only ... You remind me of my aunt.”

“Bribu?”

“Yes, my aunt.”

“Is your aunt the same age as me?”

“It looks like yes, Madam,” replied Gwen with a smile. “A few days ago my aunts and uncles enjoyed their holidays in China.”

“Two only?” ask Emma curious.

“Ya.”

Emma stopped her steps abruptly, then turned to look at Gwen as her eyebrows shot up, a little surprised to find the exact same human as her. A middle-aged woman who likes to travel with her husband abroad while there is an opportunity. “Really?”

Gwen chuckles at Emma's expression which she thinks is excessive. “Sure, Mistress. They were so excited about planning their vacation together after I got married.”

“So you're married?”

Gwen gulped, cursing her stupidity because she accidentally said her personal thing. “Yes, I'm married,” the answer is a little awkward. “To be exact a few days ago,” he added.

Emma frowned, her high curiosity unceasingly raised a question to the woman standing riled in front of her, “Then, now where is your husband? You should have had your honeymoon, right?”

“Suami—” it feels weird to say that word, Gwen thought as something tightened inside her. “She has work business today.”

Emma widened her eyes in shock. “Work?” The next second he frowned while shaking his head, a little furious with the husband of his new friend. “God ... why did your husband leave his beautiful wife on a road alone in London?”

“Bu-not so, Nyonya—”

“What a typical guy, right?” Emma denied. Before Gwen said again, she flanked Gwen's arm and pulled her back. “You don't have to worry, son. There's me and Endru who will accompany you for a walk today. Just let your husband have a headache, struggling with a stack of papers because of his job.”

Gwen forced her smile, slightly guilty of Kayden for having let this middle-aged woman assume for herself. However, the next few seconds he felt it was not his fault, if Kayden had not left him alone in the hotel room this morning without explanation and also had breakfast together.

“Stop calling me, Madam,” Emma said gently as she circulated her gaze to every corner of the hotel lobby to look for Helen. “Call me, Aunt Emma.”

“Ba-alright, Aunt Emma,” replied Gwen. “Look, do I not bother you if I come?”

“Not at all,” replied Emma solemnly. “Didn't you hear what my husband said?”

“Ya, I heard it.”

“So, actually there is no problem with this.” Emma told him. “and now let me help you through the silence of your day even without your busy husband.”

Gwen did not answer him, but she just smiled wryly in response.

After meeting Helen and Emma to help Gwen talk to her, Helen finally happily prepares a spare seat on the bus for Gwen. And half an hour later, Gwen finds herself surrounded by twenty friendly Chinese who make the day so much fun after being over-accompanied by the insensitive Kayden.

They embarked on a tour of the Westminster Pier for a cruise tour down the Thames River. Gwen, Aunt Emma and her husband chose to sit on the second floor of the ship because the area was open compared to the first floor covered in glass. It was a great moment, traveling on a medium-speed boat because Gwen really enjoyed the amazing ride.

Inside the ship, through loudspeakers Helen explains the historical places and which became landmarks on the sides of the river they traveled. Old buildings from Wensminster to London Bridge. Starting from the London Eye, parliament building, Millennium Bridge, Tower Bridge, and also The Shard, the tallest building in Europe in the form of sharp glass shards to the top.

Fifteen minutes passed, and Gwen and the rest of the group descended on St. Katherine Pier. There were two beautiful red robed women waiting at the edge of the pier. Apparently they were waiters of The Medieval Banquet restaurant, where they were going to have lunch.

Helen then invited the tour groups to enter the restaurant immediately, after they had previously walked for about five minutes. A pair of medieval warrior statues stand on the left right of the entrance, making Gwen and the rest of the group so amazed to see the scenery. And according to Helen, medieval England did take place in this region.

By the time Gwen was about to enjoy her lunch, she suddenly realized in shock that it was now past one o'clock. Kayden should now know that Gwen had escaped, and he wondered how Kayden would react. However, while chewing on a piece of egg sandwich that was previously prepared by the waiters of the restaurant, for a moment the woman thought there was no harm in teaching her husband a lesson, right?

The next two hours, when all boarded back to the bus after they had previously boarded the same boat, the time had already shown three o'clock passing by. While listening to Helen explain the London Eye on the banks of the River Thames, they waited patiently to watch the sunset.

“I've visited some beautiful places,” Emma mumbled softly beside her, “but never have I seen a sunset this grand.”

And that's right, it's beautiful—full of amazing charm. While Gwen was sitting inside the bus, feeling the power seeping into her bones, she suddenly wished Kayden was here with her. Very hopeful, to the point that he began to regret having taken this tour.

It made his decision to go on this tour go to waste, Gwen thought grimly as the bus started to drive the group back to the hotel.

After a journey of about forty minutes, in the hotel lobby Gwen thanked her new friends and said goodbye to them, because they're leaving London for Hong Kong early in the morning. Then, tired, but feeling better than she had ever felt since Kayden stepped in and took over her life, she took the elevator to her bedroom floor.

Gwen was just starting to get anxious when she opened the door. The lights in her room were still on, the curtains were not closed, and Kayden was standing in front of the window. The man's back looked upright, his shoulders stiff, his hands in the pocket of his long black cloth trousers.

Kayden turned around as Gwen walked in. “To where have you been?” angry snapped.
