The ache that began to strike Gwen's feet showed that she had been standing there long enough. However, due to her strong determination to faithfully wait for her husband to wake up, it was unshakable even though nearly thirty minutes had passed.
“I'm sorry, Kay ..” Gwen said.
Kayden's eyes were still closed with a frown. Gwen, who knew her husband's expression, eventually assumed he was uncomfortable falling asleep in a hard rattan chair. Or, this man was uncomfortable with the great quarrel last time with his wife?
I don't know, whatever it is that is clear tonight he has to finish it, Gwen said.
A few seconds later, his heart was pounding a little too fast as he saw Kayden start to move. It took a lot of courage to approach Kayden like this, without knowing how he was in his mood.
“Hai.” Gwen ventured shyly, unsure of her husband's welcome.
Kayden's eyes opened slowly. His face was indecipherable as he looked at Gwen. “Have got your truth now?” tanyanya flat.
“Ya,” Gwen smiled gently.
“Then how?”
“Good,” Gwen confessed.
Before Kayden could speak again, Gwen stepped one foot over Kayden's thigh, then just sat on her husband's lap so the man was a little surprised. “So, can I kiss you for that?” her door. “Or are you still too angry to want me?”
Kayden did not reply, his grim expression lingering when he just closed his eyes.
And it is with great sadness that Gwen must accept that Kayden will not make this easy for her. Although she must do something as determined as she never did before, Gwen will continue to fight to get her husband's heart back.
“I can go again if you really don't care,” Gwen offers.
Again, Kayden did not answer.
“Basic cruel demon,” taunts Gwen, hoping Kayden responds. However, Kayden still pursed his lips, not even puffing his black eyelashes though.
Gwen sighed as Kayden still did not react. But he would not give up on conquering the man who had suddenly become as hard as this rock. Gwen realized, Kayden to act like that was because of her. So he has to accept the consequences now.
While staring at Kayden's handsome face, Gwen was still trying to think of a way to lure her husband into talking. Then, he poked his lips inwardly when he came across a silly idea after a few seconds had passed.
“The problem is,” Gwen continues rather tragically, “you are really too old for me ...” He decided to heat up Kayden.
“I know,” Kayden agrees.
Gwen's chest lifted as she sighed softly. “Is that all you said?”
Kayden's eyes opened, his gaze staring at his wife's sad face. "I'm tired, Gwen ...”
“Gwen?” The woman asked while frowning, as if something was wrong with Kayden's sentence. However, she will continue to try to melt her husband's heart. "You usually call me darling, right?”
“Hem.” Kayden answered briefly while closing his eyes.
“Gosh, Kay ..” by Gwen. Without thinking for long, she cupped the man's face and kissed him as Gwen herself began to lose her patience with her husband's apathy.
Kayden was completely shocked by his wife's surprise attack.
Although, in fact he was trying to fight back, but his body was sculpting. His hand was raised to Gwen's waist and tried to push her away, while his lips did not respond at all to her lip persuasion.
However, having caught Kayden off guard, Gwen is determined to let him off guard again. He continued to emphasize the gentle and seductive little kiss along Kayden's lip line until tension began to leave the man.
And sure enough, Kayden was too weak to face the seduction of his wife's deadly kiss. So, in the end he stopped pushing Gwen, his lips gave up and began to return his wife's kiss so that in his heart Gwen cheered triumphantly.
“For what is it?” kayden growled as Gwen let them sigh.
“Because, whether you are old or not, I love you, Kay,” replied Gwen, and watched as Kayden's face was so flat, there was no expression.
“Where is Rainer?” ask Kayden later. He deliberately changed the topic because he had to try first to neutralize his heart work due to Gwen's statement.
In his heart, Kayden was happy to hear the words of love were thrown directly from the lips of his wife. Isn't that what he's been waiting for after all this time?
As for Gwen who saw no response from Kayden, she looked disappointed as she slowly lowered her empty eyes to her husband's chin. Is this how it felt when he ignored Kayden first? So empty and sick, his mind is bitter. Be patient, that's what he's thinking right now.
Seeing Gwen pensive and never answering, Kayden then repeated his question again, “Where is Rainer?”
Gwen flinched from her daydream. Now, his eyeballs collided with Kayden's black bead. “She's gone,” she replied lazily. “Tomorrow early in the morning he must return to Paris—to his wife. And he's also been telling me everything without anyone missing."
Kayden's eyebrows shot up hearing him. “Rainer tell you everything?”
“He feels guilty,” Gwen explains. “Because of forcing you to beg him to release me.”
“Apply?” Kayden protested. “Si that liar. I threatened to torture him sadistically if he didn't stop his stupid game. But I mind being accused of begging.”
Gwen shrugged her shoulders. “Ya .. according to Rainer, you have begged him. And,” her beautiful eyes show a dangerous seductive sparkle. “I prefer the idea of you begging her to leave me, so that you can replace her.”
“I will be careful in making decisions, if I were you, Gwen,” Kayden warned very slowly. “Because I'm still so mad at you.”
“I know,” Gwen admits. “But I brought you a gift,” he said. “By the word, peace offers as well as your birthday gifts. I am very guilty, for not appreciating what you have worked so hard to get me...”
Gwen bit her lower lip. Her eyes stared apologetically at Kayden as she waited for an answer from her husband.
Kayden had seen that look before, right on the first night they went through passionately. Her eyes darkened so considering the impact of the deadly gaze on her back then—so distracting and so seductive.
Then, Kayden exhaled. “Alright, you win. Then, what's the prize?”
Gwen smiled with satisfaction. Instantly he opened his navy jeans jacket, then dropped it on the floor. And lastly, just as he was about to unbutton his first plain white short-sleeved v-neck shirt, Kayden suddenly grabbed his wife's wrist slowly to stop her.
“Open your birthday gift package.” A smile rose from Gwen's lips after saying so.
“You mean?"
“I mean, your gift is me,” Gwen said slowly. “That too if you still want me after my stupid behavior today ..”.
Kayden's chest deflated in a short breath. His eyes closed for a moment, then the next few seconds he opened his eyes, and found Gwen bowing her head with deep regret.
“Ya Lord .. Come here, Dear.” He grabbed Gwen, pulled her into a hug. “Didn't you feel, how this poor man fell for you half-dead?”
“I think I must be blind,” Gwen admitted sadly while tightly hugging her husband's waist, while her right cheek rested on her husband's field. “But I also fell in love half-dead with you, Kay!” he added with an urgent tone.
Kayden smiled after hearing his wife's great confession. “Start when, hem?” the tan was soft as he stroked Gwen's fine hair that was on her shoulders just like the man liked.
“Since you took over my life.”
“Good,” says Kayden. He landed a short kiss on the top of Gwen's head before continuing his sentence, “I did it because I was so possessive in every single one of your lives.”
Gwen, who was still tightly hugging Kayden as if she did not want to let go, raised her head towards the man, her chin resting on her husband's chest while Kayden's black bead was diving into the woman's beautiful eyeball.
“And you think I'm not?” said Gwen, then continued with possessive exuberance, “So, if I see you pecking the cheek of another woman besides myself,” he warned fiercely, , “i will be angry and won't talk to you for days.”
Kayden chuckled before he said, “That sounds like a threat to me because of your jealousy.”
“Ya .. arguably so. Wh why? You don't like it?”
Kayden who looked gently at his wife's face, immediately gave a sweet smile, then replied, “I like. Very like.” A kiss so deep landed on Gwen's forehead that the woman momentarily closed her eyes, feeling such great love from Kayden.
“I'm sorry for everything I did to you, Kay ..” Gwen said after Kayden let go of her kiss a few seconds ago. “Sorry also for my exaggerated attitude today,” her sincerely pleaded that looked at her husband's face.
“Do not,” muttered Kayden. “To be honest, I was grateful when you misunderstood Ava. Thanks to him, you finally told me directly that you love me.”
Gwen chuckled before she said, “Yes, you're right. And it looks like tomorrow I'm going to meet Ava to thank her.”
“You can do it next time, Darling ..”
Gwen frowned. “Why?”
“Because he returned to Russia this afternoon.”
Gwen's eyes widened in shock. “Secap it?”
"Yes. Her husband was acutely jealous,” his taunts.
“Together with you, right?”
“Well, well,” Kayden protesting. “Not just me, but you're the same as me—”
Gwen immediately silenced Kayden's mouth with her lips to stop her husband's sentence. And as if a tadpole, Kayden's hand stretched out to press Gwen's nape, deepening their kiss—chanted his longing that some days were buried because he did not meet his wife due to his business trip.
Their eyes are both closed. While the lips of the two of them were still clinging to each other slowly, as if channeling such a great love between the two.
Gwen's hand extended up, touched Kayden's sturdy jaw, then pushed him slowly. There was no rejection from the man who immediately let go of his kiss.
When their gazes met that were only a few inches away, Gwen opened her voice while gently rubbing Kayden's cheek.
“Thank you for always being my rainbow after the storm. Thank you for your love and affection for me. Happy birthday, I love you, Kayden Kim. And ..” Seulas smiles tucked in both corners of Gwen's lips before she continues her sentence, “i wanna grow old with you, Babe.”
Kayden's black bead shone like a star after hearing his wife's last words. He smiled widely and his heart flowered. According to him, this is the most beautiful gift because it cannot be replaced by anything.
“Thank you so much, Sweetheart,” Kayden reply.
“Come,” whispered Gwen, got off her lap and pulled Kayden's hand to follow her.
“Where?” Kayden asked, as if he didn't know.
“Certainly to open your gift, Babe,” Gwen replied as she rolled her eyes, then pulled Kayden with her to enter the room.
Their rooms. Their home. Their lives, and their love. Because this is it, a true truth. Gwen loves Kayden. Kayden loved Gwen in her own way.
Although previously there were many barriers between them, but at the right time God will predestine them to be together so that a serious relationship is created.
Because true, sincere love will love unconditionally. It's easy to love the part we love, but when we learn to accept the part we don't like, that's when love becomes love.
