“Many ways to please yourself, Kay,” Gwen said. “For example with holidays, watching movies with friends, or ... by dating a lover.”
Kayden smiled obliquely. “Then, I had no lover.”
Gwen slightly pulled the corner of her lips to the side as if she could not believe Kayden's reply. “There's no way someone like you doesn't have a lover.”
“From the age of eighteen, I've been sued by my father to learn about company management,” Kayden replied flatly. “When other teenagers my age were having fun and enjoying their teenage years, I was in my father's office almost all the time. No one helped me and paid attention to me, except for the servants who were there. Even my own father never asked me what I really wanted. Sometimes I miss my own mother's affection and her defense. But I can what? All I knew at that time was, I had to study, study and study because the burden of my responsibility was so great bearing the name Kim.”
Gwen flinching. Her blackish brown bead looked at Kayden's sad face. He was filled with great recognition from the man's past. Is Kayden taking off his mask? This was his real grim-looking face behind his mask that was firm, complicated, and full of authority. And ... how hard is her teenage life? Thought Gwen wandered.
“I also have no time to get to know or approach a woman like my other friends,” Kayden added. “Till I meet you and marry you. To me, it's already beyond the word pleasure.”
Gwen gasped in silence, but her eyes stared intently at Kayden's black bead to look for the crack of her lie. However, the next few seconds unfortunately he did not find the slightest lie in the man. Why does every word always break his heart?
“Ah, come on,” chirps Kayden. “This, eat to increase your energy,” he said as he put the plate in front of him and removed the container cover, showing the most tender and soft omelet.
Gwen was still looking at Kayden's face when she saw her husband cutting his own omelette. He decided he didn't want to eat because his stomach suddenly closed as he thought of Kayden's past.
“Eat, Gwen,” orders Kayden gently, after seeing the woman for too long looking at him.
“No, I don't want to eat!” Gwen firmly.
“Need to order another meal? Order the food you want. Or want me to help you order it and—”
“I want your omelet.”
Kayden frowned feeling something was wrong with his wife. “Pieces omeletku?”
“Ya.”
“But the omelet next to your plate is just like mine, Gwen.”
“No! I want the omelet on your plate, Kayden. Can't it?”
“Not.” Kayden shook his head slowly. “Not so ..” He then sighed and let Gwen win. “Alright, here,” he said giving his plate containing the rest of his omelet to the woman.
“No, I don't want to!”
Kayden frowned as he was confused by Gwen's behavior. “Hey, didn't you just ask for a piece of my omelet? Why change your mind now?”
“Iya .. I did ask for it,” said Gwen. “But I want you to bribe me. Didn't you say we'd eat a plate together? You forgot ya?”
Kayden was surprised. This is the first time the woman has asked for it herself. With a faint smile Kayden slowly fed his wife.
His heart instantly warmed when he saw Gwen smiling at him.
Somehow the smile melted something inside him, giving him great courage to return Gwen's smile that so thrilled her.
“You like the food?” ask Kayden.
“Ya, sure. Really like. It's really delicious.”
Kayden instantly pulled the corner of his lips to the side. A big smile from his wife made the man fall more and more in love with her. “Oh, Lord .. I want to see that smile every day, his inner”.
“Kay, I—” Suddenly Kayden's mobile phone rang back so that Gwen could not continue her sentence.
“Sorry, Gwen. I have to answer this phone because it is very important.”
“Spend your food, Gwen,” Kayden said on the sidelines of his busy life with his phone.
Again Gwen nodded lethargicly in response. While chewing her food, the woman looked at Kayden who suddenly got up to pick up some files. I don't know what was being talked about with someone across the street so Kayden kept frowning.
“Are you always like this every day, Kay?” inner Gwen.
“Alright, Gwen.” Kayden turned to the room as soon as he finished calling which took a few minutes. “I took about ten minutes to shower and change clothes. If any phone rings, please pick up and record any messages. Then tell them, I'll call him soon.”
“Ya, alright.”
“O yes, one more.” When Kayden stepped into the room and seemed to remember something, he suddenly turned to face Gwen who was still at the dining table, not far from where he stood. “If there is an incoming message, you just open it. Sandinya 1404,” she said told, then grinned thinly before she left Gwen in the room alone.
Gwen frowned deeply. He felt very familiar with the numbers Kayden mentioned just now. However, a few seconds after that the woman suddenly widened her eyes. “Wait a minute,” the wedges. “Isn't that my birthday date? But ..No.” He shook his head as if in disbelief. “Cannot. I can't be too quick to draw conclusions.”
Ten minutes passed. As soon as Kayden returned, Gwen was standing by the window, looking up at the hustle and bustle of London from the top of the star hotel.
“No one called?” ask Kayden.
Gwen turned around and found Kayden standing in a beautiful grey suit and a deep blue shirt with a tie around the neck. His dark hair was neatly combed, his yellow jaw was clean from the shadow that had darkened him a little before.
Kayden himself was not looking at him because he seemed to concentrate on tugging at the sleeves of his shirt to be neat, thus missing a sigh of urgency that Gwen could not stand when all her senses reacted to the attractiveness of the man.
“No,” replied Gwen, feeling somewhat out of breath.
Kayden looked up because he heard the agitated tone in the woman's voice. He looked at Gwen's face. “What's up?” tanyanya full of search.
“Ti-no,” Gwen denied it, quickly turn away.
Kayden did not remain silent. He approached and stood in front of Gwen. The clean aroma of his body mixed with the fragrance of his perfume increasingly disturbed the woman's feelings that had indeed been disturbed and confused. Kayden's tall posture so that Gwen's eyes were aligned with her neatly shaved chin, added to her unusual heart work.
“Gwen ..” said Kayden slowly. “If you're worried about us going to bed tonight, you better not.”
“No kok!” Gwen denied.
“No?” Kayden frowning. “It is clear in your face that something is bothering you.” He lifted Gwen's chin, his fingers urging the woman to look at him.
“Ha-just it doesn't feel right,” said Gwen trembling. “All this intimacy is forced with a man who is not—”
“You like?” Kayden.
“I didn't say that!” sergeant Gwen, staring at her husband with a protesting look. Unfortunately, Kayden's countenance was in disbelief and Gwen sighed, hoping Kayden would give her a little room to take in a lot of oxygen. “Kay, actually you're hard to—”
To be ignored, as soon as Gwen was about to say, but she refrained from saying it because she knew the man would not understand. He wanted to ignore Kayden but he was unable to, because with every minute he spent beside the man, he became more and more aware of his figure. The figure of a man who could easily make her fall in love.
“For what, Gwen. Hem?” ask Kayden lirih. His black bead scoured his wife's smooth white face until it was glued to her red lips. He also swallowed with great difficulty. His blood immediately rippled violently, a sultry feeling that seemed to start to choke him either because of a tie that was too tight, or his passion that seemed to blend.
“Ka-Kay ..” said Gwen softly as her husband brought her face closer to the tip of their nose to touch and barely separated the distance. In the room he felt so tight, and the work of his heart beat faster because of the warm breath hit their lips. Gwen knew where it would end next. Her red lips would definitely meet Kayden's lips this time as well. And before that happens, he should as soon as possible decide to end it.
“Bi-can we go now?” Gwen's blackish brown bead pleaded so anxiously that Kayden grimaced, then he gasped straighten up to keep his distance from Gwen.
“Ya, sure.” Kayden agreed. He let go of Gwen, leaving her feeling empty. Again and again, the woman had offended him.
