Touching Your Heart

Touching Your Heart
Comfort And Protection

After that sudden kiss, Gwen instantly lowered her head so that no one could read what was raging within her. This feeling was so foreign to him, to the point of making his legs wobble and the inside of him squeezed by tension.

But no, suddenly Gwen looked back as she recalled having experienced this oddity before. On that day when Rainer introduced Gwen as his future wife to Kayden, the woman seemed to receive a high-voltage electric shock. His feelings were not strange because followed by fear that made him turn pale, so Gwen had to quickly release Kayden's hand, then she shifted closer in Rainer's protection.

However, Gwen's memory jolts that it turns out Rainer is not her protector. The man was too cowardly and the truth that Rainer was irresponsible, was enough to prove how selfish a Kim Rainer was.

“Gwen.”

Gwen looked up, disillusioned and fed up with Rainer in her eyes. Kayden, who could see the woman's pain, stretched his fingers to his waist, his black bead glaring sharply before his fingers gripped strongly to pull Gwen furiously at him. The unexpected happened again. Kayden looked down and kissed his wife's lips.

“Don't remember him again!” kayden's orders were firm, having previously let go of his kiss first. “Forget her, because she doesn't deserve you to remember even you cried!”

With a dead red face and completely shocked by Kayden's attack, Gwen gasped. “I'm not—”

“We'd better eat and let them go,” Kayden said when he saw the waiter coming, serving the dish he had ordered an hour ago.

It was a relief when the waiter came at the right time because Gwen was getting so depressed that she needed to sit down.

But unfortunately, it turns out their dinner time does not end. Dish after dish served instantly appeared to be ready for tasting, while a conversation that Gwen could barely understand, continued to take place around her.

Gwen felt as if she was lost and stranded somewhere strange, to the point that she had to exert all her effort pulling both corners of her lips upwards, concentrating on the questions addressed to her. The woman herself replied with no interest, but she had to throw back a smile to preserve the honor of her husband.

No one was being cruel or indifferent to Gwen. However, he felt overwhelmed by the friendship among the upper class among them. Although Kayden realized and Gwen was sure that her husband understood her awkwardness, the man still said nothing.

However, every time Gwen glanced at her husband, Kayden was staring at her. Her beautiful black bead glared sharply at his wife's face, giving a gaze that the woman did not understand. Gwen felt increasingly uncomfortable so she frowned while sipping half a glass of red wine, hoping to reduce her anxiety.

“You danced with me, beautiful Mrs Kim?” ask Evan Sandres, one of Kayden's friends. Seemed a smile from her slightly seductive sensual lips as she watched Gwen blink her eyes many times due to her shock.

“A-aku—”

“You can't die with me, Evan!” kayden cut Gwen's sentence. Although his voice was flat, but the flash of anger from his sharp black bead emanated very clearly, implying that he was not willing if his wife was touched by another man.

For a moment, Evan chuckled then he immediately raised both hands, his palm opened to the front of the chest, giving a sign of surrender, while saying, “Oke, Brother. Don't be angry just yet. I was just kidding.”

“But I don't like that way of dressing you!” sergeant Kayden. “Gwen is my wife.”

“Jeez, Lord .. You're too seriously responding to—”

“Come, Gwen. We dance.” Kayden invited him, and indeed deliberately cut off Evan's unresolved sentence so that the poor man could only shake his head while smiling.

“You turned out to be acute jealous, Kay,” Inner Evan.

For Gwen, it was indeed a relief when Kayden suddenly grasped her arm, pulling her to stand up. He himself was always ready to do anything to avoid the difficulties he experienced, including currently agreeing to Kayden's invitation to dance with him.

In a slow and light music play, Kayden pulled his wife into a hug, bringing her closer so that Gwen's chin touched the collar of her suit, urging her in a slow swinging motion, one hand resting lightly on her waist, and one hand resting lightly on her waist, another hand clasped Gwen's hand near her heart.

Gwen could feel Kayden's breath rubbing against the fine hairs on her temples, so warm and somewhat scented by the dark red wine they had been drinking. Gwen's other hand was placed on the man's shoulder, a bit low where the muscles curved into her protruding chest.

“Now you are safe,” Kayden said, making Gwen very aware that the tension she was suffering must be very obvious.

“Sorry,” Gwen felt compelled to say it. A second later he sighed tiredly, then said, “I know, I can't give a good impression to your friends.”

Gwen sighed grimly when she saw Kayden's handsome face. “I still think they think you're stupid or crazy, for marrying me who obviously I'm not equal to them.”

“And you think I care about their presumption?” Kayden retaliated.

“No,” Gwen replied in her heart. He admitted while sighing slowly. This man doesn't care one bit about what people think of him. Otherwise, Kayden wouldn't have married his former half-sister in the first place, would he?

“You look familiar to each other,” said Gwen, deliberately changing the topic of conversation.

“For a few years, I lived in London with my grandparents before they died,” muttered Kayden with a faint smile at the startled expression of his wife. “Two years later, I returned to Jakarta to run the company after my father died. But almost twice a month I regularly come here, see the development of the company here. And we meet at least once a month for dinner like this while talking about work.”

Gwen frowned. “But didn't you say it was dinner with your working relationship?”

“In one hand it is indeed yes,” Kayden insists. “They are friends as well as my work relations or business relations. And that's how it works,” he added rather grimly. “Business and friendship tend to merge into one in our environment. Because anyway, I had to keep the company stable after my father died.” The man smirked thinly. “My employees are many so my responsibilities are also big, right?”

Gwen shook her head, but she suddenly felt even more guilty for not being excited during the event.

“I'm really sorry if all this makes you uncomfortable.”

“No,” Gwen quickly denied. Even though he knew he was lying. “Your friends have been so good to me. It's just that I'm so tired ..” He ended with his weak voice.

Kayden smiled faintly before he said, “In a moment we will be home.” Then, he brought Gwen closer to the warmth of his body. “I beg you to be patient.”

Gwen heaved a sigh of relief as the guarantee obliterated some of her tension while they continued to swing like this. Although it felt very strange to be in Kayden's arms, but Gwen did not deny that she was so comfortable in a sturdy body and muscles that gently press her body.

“Kay ..” muttered Gwen, unaware of herself sighing her husband's name.

Kayden heard it clearly. Her expression was hard to describe, but the way she gently raised Gwen's hand and linked it around her neck before getting closer, meant a special message if only she was aware enough to understand it.

Gwen immediately raised her face to smile at her husband. Her blackish brown bead met Kayden's black bead which made her completely dazzled.

Gwen can read there's passion in Kayden's eyeballs. The passion was so obvious that the man could not hide it. The next second, he gasped as Kayden lowered his lips to his lips.

The woman stopped moving because this kiss completely left her out of breath. Kayden's lips began to move gently, without Gwen noticing she instead responded instinctively.

And in the middle of the ground floor, in the middle of a group of people who were in the vip room restaurant, a different vibe slowly exploded inside Gwen. An outburst of reciprocal arousal due to the thrill vibrates on his most intimate senses. Gwen arched her back so that she drew closer, her fingers dipped into the silky smooth hair on the man's nape, and her heart was racing. The woman seemed to tear down the sturdy wall of her heart that she built herself, so as not to quickly fall in love with the man who married her unexpectedly.

A minute later after going through the fog of passion, Kayden and Gwen heard the giggles of the lovers in the room watching them.

“Wow, it looks like you should return to your room immediately,” Evan said mockingly. “Basic newlyweds.”

Gwen retreated as consciousness began to take hold of her mind. The red hue on his cheeks was so obvious from embarrassment that he cursed his folly. “Can-can I do this embarrassing thing in public, his inner”.

Unlike Kayden, he ignored Evan's words. The man smiled faintly because he was too pleased with his wife's kiss.

“I beg you, Kay,” said Gwen softly. “Can we go now?” tanya was a bit desperate.

“Ya, of course,” Kayden replied in agreement.
