Touching Your Heart

Touching Your Heart
Eating a Plate Both

As if Kayden knew that Gwen was beginning to remember Rainer back, he walked haughtily toward Gwen and stood behind her with the glare of his sharp eyes. Kayden then flipped over Gwen's body and shook her slowly. “For God!” said fierce. “I know you still remember Rainer! Can't you just try a little to forget him?”

Gwen's plump eyelashes trembled again, and a glimpse of despair was revealed before Kayden. He felt gripped by the heat and cold, staring at the man from a foggy view.

“A-aku ..” Gwen's voice feels held in her throat. His chest tightened as if there was no air covering his lungs until he had trouble saying.

Without warning or even advance notice, Kayden immediately carried Gwen and walked to the workspace next to her bedroom. The man ignored Gwen's screams that were thrashing in his arms to ask to be taken down.

When he arrived at Kayden's study, he lowered Gwen's seat and confronted her in front of the laptop. Kayden then turned on the laptop, then forcefully handed over thirty pages of handwritten documents in front of Gwen.

“You can type, right?” Kayden's voice sounded flat and cold which saw Gwen confused. “Well, now type this document! I need it before later afternoon.”

“Tapi—”

“While I'm going downstairs to take breakfast we both.” Kayden told him in his still cold voice. His voice this time was completely different from his soft voice as he spoke with Gwen in the kitchen earlier. “We don't have breakfast at the dinner table! We'll just eat here while I keep an eye on you and correct your work.”

“Can't we have breakfast at the dinner table?” asked Gwen hesitantly. “After that, I will go to this room again to type this document.”

“No!” kayden replied flat and short.

“You're still working as my secretary. I remind you if you forget that,” he added full of emphasis. The man immediately stepped foot leaving Gwen in her study. Kayden gave Gwen no chance to speak or defend herself.

As for Gwen herself, she was momentarily transfixed by Kayden's change in attitude which came back cold. A few seconds later, Gwen took a deep breath as if she had run out of oxygen and exhaled slowly.

The woman then turned her eyes outside the window which was not too far from her seat. From up there, Gwen can see a large iron gate locked tightly for all visitors, even a small group of reporters who might soon be gathered outside, he said, considering the news of today's newspapers is so very excited.

Gwen's mind was currently wandering because it recalled the events of yesterday. Starting from the incident Rainer left her and chose to marry Valerie his first love, to the incident of her boss who is now her husband. Although he blames Kayden for convincing Rainer not to marry him, Gwen tries to accept him with a breastplate. At least, one slap that was slapped on Kayden's right cheek last night, helped a little to bring out his anger that had been held back.

Not only that, Gwen has let Kayden build a lie for her uncle and aunt. He had also let Kayden take Gwen to the man's mansion, which proved to be his stronghold.

At this time, Gwen just found out Kayden was the most determined man when he had decided something. Since yesterday, after Gwen officially married Kayden, the man has taken over, demanding Gwen fully comply with her every request and order.

And if the man caught Gwen soakingly daydreaming like that, Kayden would resuscitate her with a growl or action. His way of trying to keep Gwen's mind away from Rainer's half-brother, almost cruel. Evidently Kayden had ordered Gwen to type a thirty-page document.

“Gwen!” The impact filled Gwen's ears, leaving her bearded, shaking her nerves as she forced her eyes back into focus and found Kayden glaring at her while holding a tray of food and drinks. Kayden's black bead shot out like a silver laser pierced through him, burning something other than the power of his presence.

“Do not daydream!” kayden's orders were firm, which placed a tray filled with food on the table, then pulled up the chair and sat down next to Gwen. From the side, Kayden could clearly see the woman's nervousness behind her beautiful face without makeup. “Come, we have breakfast first. From last night you haven't filled your stomach.”

Gwen frowned when she saw that there were only two sandwiches on top of the pring, but the plate was reached by Kayden first. There was no sandwich on the tray, just a glass of milk, a glass of water and a cup of cappuccino.

“I'll go downstairs to take my breakfast?”

“No need.” Kayden answered briefly. “This is your breakfast!” He told her while cutting one sandwich into four pieces.

“But there is only one plate containing two sandwiches, Mr. Kayden's. So I had to—” Gwen could not continue her sentence because Kayden directly put the piece of sandwich into her mouth so that Gwen widened her eyes. And he was forced to chew it, because the sandwich filled his mouth.

“Didn't I say it? Just call my first name without any Mister sentence in front of him.” Kayden reminded him while chewing on another piece of sandwich after he forcefully fed Gwen. “From now on, we will eat a plate of both if we eat inside the house.”

Gwen, who heard Kayden's silly words, swallowed her hard-earned food and frowned in protest. “Hey, Mister—” Gwen hung up her sentence because she saw Kayden's eyes glaring at her. As if something was wrong, he corrected his own sentence. “I mean, Ka-Kayden,” he said softly at the end of the sentence.

“Ya, right. From now on you should get used to just calling my name. Including now this is what we do together. Breakfast, lunch, and night, we only eat in one plate.”

“Cannot!” exclaimed Gwen did not accept Kayden's order on this one. “What if I don't like the food served on that plate, and you like it? Wouldn't that make it difficult for us to eat?”

“I am now your husband and I am the head of the family.” Kayden's black beads highlight Gwen's sharp chocolate beads. “As husband and head of the family, I do not accept rejection from my own wife,”. “Again, I'm not picky in food matters. What do you eat, I will also eat it.”

“Including for example if I want to eat rice and salt, or just plain bread without butter or jam?”

“Ya,” Kayden replied briefly. “Didn't I say it? I'm not a picky eater. From small I am not fussy if I just want to eat.”

Gwen momentarily glanced at the face of Kayden who was sipping a cup of his cappuccino. He confirmed Kayden's statement. Working as his secretary for three years, Gwen knew very well that Kayden did not choose food. Evidently when he accompanied the man to a meeting with investors, Kayden told Gwen to pick and order food.

And every morning before Kayden came, Gwen always prepared a cup of warm cappuccino for the man and put it on her desk in her office. No wonder, he knew that the man liked the drink.

“You are very different from, Rainer,” muttered Gwen inwardly. “Rainer who always smiles a lot and is picky in food matters. Including voters in the affairs of the women he was with,” thought Gwen was gloomy.
