|103|. My Status Now Is A Married Man

Early in the morning, Egbert was already sitting in the living room together, Mary, Aldrich and an uninvited guest who had just been staying at his castle, Emma. The woman sat on one of the single sofas with a wryly bent face. His eyes were filled with hatred for the boy sitting across. The little boy really tortured him to death in half this blind morning. Rubbing her sore neck, she could feel it flushed and sore. The real evidence of the boy's treatment that he doesn't know where he came from.

"Egbert, I don't accept this" After a long silence, Emma opened her mouth and expressed her displeasure.

"How dare the boy strangle me. Looky!" Emma pointed at her nearly broken and crumpled neck, "Their hand was even still there. And you—" His throat was choked with a feeling of disappointment, "How dare you take a nonchalant attitude. If I die because of that boy how?" Her cry was hysterical and somewhat pitiful.

Aldrich who heard that rolled his eyes. He even cut his lips with a mocking smile. The action was bright enough to make Emma furious to feel like crushing the little face until after.

Egbert put on his straight look, indifferent and distant. Her eyes that did not store any emotions, again made Emma feel disappointed.

"It's just a small thing, there's no need to suffer so much"

"You—"

"It's not like you used to do that to me" saying that, there was a trace of a wound in Egbert's pair of eyes that froze like ice. He still vividly remembered how the fingers of the woman were lentic and sharp hoofed, one night came to support his neck and strangled him without hesitation. If that night he did not wake up and let his guard down, he might have died at the hands of a woman...

Who was none other than that night was still his lover.

"I remember I didn't mind it, so today my son did it to you, you don't have to mind either"

Emma widened her eyes, "P-son?" Half his mouth opened with a look of disbelief, "That boy is your son?"

In response, Egbert nodded his head calmly.

"T-can't be" Emma's eyelashes fluttered in disbelief, "You're clearly unmarried, how can you have a son?"

Emma is convinced that Egbert is still a single man. That is why rumors circulated in the country of Merland, if the honorable crown prince still can not forget his former lover— who is none other than himself. That is why to this day Egbert continues to reject the offers of the higher-ups and nobles who introduce their beautiful daughters to Egbert hoping that one of them can become the candidate for the crown princess.

But none of the offers were warmly welcomed by Egbert.

How could Egbert suddenly have a child? Where did the boy come from? Is that just his adopted son?

Questions hunt Emma in silence. But none of those answers can predict what Emma's answer is.

"Do you have a lover without my knowledge?" That curiosity, made the question just slip away from Emma's nervous trembling mouth.

As if he was not ready to accept the fact that his former lover already has a replacement for him.

Egbert's lips twitched in a cold smile. The question sounded so silly, but the one who asked it, was obviously much more ridiculous, "If I had it, would I be obligated to tell you?"

Aldrich who had been silent and listening to the conversation of the two adults, sighed bored. Although Aldrich was still a child, but his sharp premonition said that the two people must have a relationship that is not simple. Too lazy to watch it any further, he immediately got off the couch, "Your lady mouse right. If I ever saw him harass my mother again, I wouldn't hesitate to kill him" Aldrich first gave Egbert a cold look, then he turned to Emma with a murderous look.

Clenching her hands, Emma clearly felt unwelcome. Her pride as an adult woman seemed to be shattered under the threat of the little boy. But...

He could not deny that the boy had a powerful and dangerous aura. Making himself last was only silent and did not dwell on anything in protest.

Aldrich walked towards Mary who was standing beside the sofa where Egbert was sitting. He said in his exact same authoritarian tone as Egbert, "I want to see mama. You go take me there"

Before leaving, not to forget Mary resigned politely to Egbert, "I will go to deliver the young master, the suit will I return to account for my mistakes"

"Eum" Egbert waved, giving his permission.

But just a few steps the two men walked over, Egbert exclaimed, "Stop"

Aldrich sighed in annoyance and Mary turned around politely, "Yes mister?"

Egbert only glanced at Mary and his eyes then went to look at Aldrich's back who was standing behind him, "He's not my woman"

Aldrich raised his upper lip, grinning. He said without facing Egbert, "If she's not your woman, then just get her out of here" After saying that, Aldrich told Mary to lead the way again.

Facing that little hubris, Egbert only smiled straight, deeply, 'He is indeed truly my son'

Emma could not help but stare at Aldrich's small back which gradually vanished from sight. Even though the boy's face and hair were very much different from Egbert's. But the overall unfriendly attitude of his and his cold commanding style, it was ninety-nine percent the same as Egbert.

"Couple your stuff and get out of here"

Emma's bluffing her teeth, "No"

Egbert's eyes darkened.

"Why should I go?" Emma shrugged her shoulders, "Duke Rajeev sent me here. Even if I have to go, it must be from his orders directly"

Egbert squeezed his fingers and laughed coldly. That sounded pretty scary for the start of a day that was still so bright. Emma could not even hold back and shivered, feeling the gripping aura from Egbert's eyes that were aiming at her sharply.

"This is my castle, why is your lover so shameless as to send you here?"

"What?" Emma widened her eyes in surprise, "J-so this is your castle. Aren't you just hitching a ride here?" Emma thought so. Because he was so sure that the big castle belonged to Duke Rajeev.

Egbert's face instantly became gloomy, "With the wealth I have, do I need to go hitchhiking, hum?"

"..."

"I don't know why you suddenly reappeared in front of me. But if you intend to reminisce with me, then I say, you have no chance to do so"

"..."

"Because my status is now a married man"

"..."

"So throw away your dirty intentions!"
