Along the way to a beautiful village, Annette fell asleep with her baby in her lap. Parker, who was focused on driving, glimpsed at the mother and child who seemed completely exhausted. I don't know how long they've been walking in the hot sun, considering that Parker's staring pity at them.
About three hours passed, his car stopped right in front of a house that was located a bit far from the surrounding population. The house was quite spacious with a minimalist design that seemed to blend with the environment. The grounds are quite beautiful and many green trees surround it.
Right in front there was already a middle-aged man waiting for his arrival. Without waking Annette, he got out of the car.
"What is this with Mr Parker?"
"real sir. I'm Parker"
"Ah, introduce me Jack"
The two men shook hands with each other.
"I am the manager of this house. It has been the last two years this place is not used, because there is no substitute doctor who wants to serve in this village" said the middle-aged man to Parker, "Finally this house is back there who occupy it. May you live in our village, Mr Parker" continued with a smile. His warm attitude, quite reflects the style of the friendly village community.
"Thank you uncle Jack" Parker was delighted that the first person he met in the village had accepted his arrival with pleasure.
"This is key. If you need anything, you can contact me with this number" A sheet of paper containing a row of numbers was presented to Parker.
"Okay, Uncle Jack, thank you again"
"Yes, you're the same" nod the middle-aged man.
"We've arrived?" It was Annette who had just woken up and kept coming down from the car seeing that they were already right in front of the simple and beautiful residence.
"Yes, just now"
"Why didn't you wake me?"
"Woah, so you came here with your wife?" Jack exclaimed, when he saw Annette who appeared holding a baby. At first glance he could see how young Annette was.
"Ah right. I came here with my wife"
Parker's reply surprised Annette. He continued to cast his full-fledged gaze at Parker, but in return, the man simply blinked his eyes.
"Your wife is beautiful and seems very young. Must be your different age range huh?" Said the Jack very frankly.
Even though Parker doesn't look so old for a man in his thirties, it's still when he's next to Annette. At first glance people can see the distance between their ages that is almost like a brother and sister.
"Eum" Parker just nodded accordingly. Glancing briefly at Annette's bewildered pretty face, inwardly he wondered...
'Am I that old?'
'What's our age gap looking pretty clear?'
"You're pretty good at picking a wife. The younger the better.." Jack continued again, winking at Parker.
"Any, haha.." Parker laughed lightly in response. Annette was just standing awkwardly in her position hearing the two people's conversation.
"Then I won't bother you anymore. Please rest comfortably, because in the house everything I have cleaned"
"Okay uncle, thanks again"
After Jack leaves, Parker rushes to get his things out and Annette leaves to open the door. Interior design in it in the dominance of a charming black brown. Annette was at first glance stunned by the layout of her warm and comfortable room.
"Why did you acknowledge me as a wife in front of you?" Ask Annette who was sitting on the sofa while holding her tiny baby who was still asleep.
Parker had already placed all the items in the living room and immediately rested his back on the single sofa.
"I'm sorry, I made you uncomfortable, huh?"
"Ah not so brother, I just.." Annette was confused as to what to explain.
"That's why I recognized you as my wife, so in the future as long as we stay here, we don't need to hear people's bad gossip"
"Well.." Annette mangosteen understands. Then he felt the need to thank the man for taking him away with him or else he might spend the night on the streets with his little baby.
"Thank you for letting me go with my sister. If not, maybe Aldrich and I will sleep at the store's headquarters tonight" Annette said with a lot of freshness on her face.
Parker nodded, smiled and then asked enthusiastically, "Aldrich? Is that your son's name?"
"Eum" Nodded Annette, "Didn't it sound good?" Annette rubbed the back of her neck looking embarrassed, "I'm not very good at naming"
"No. That's a great name" Parker said.
"really?" Annette's eyes sparkled with pleasure.
"Eum, it's a good match for your cute little baby"
"Ah, good then" said Annette with a smile on her lips. Until suddenly the quiet living room is now shrouded in the sound of baby whining. Annette continued to panic and began cradling her baby with a chaotic attitude of what to do.
"Looks like he's not comfortable with his damp pants" Parker can see the toothless marks on the baby's pants.
"Is she?" Annette showed a worried expression, "Ah, how should I do this? I have absolutely no equipment for my baby" she said.
Parker bit his lower lip and started thinking about something.
"Wait a minute" and Parker gets out of the house.
About ten minutes after Annette tried to silence her baby, Parker returned with a few pieces of baby clothes and diapers.
"That's.."
"Ah, I asked Uncle Jack for help, there happened to be a family in this village who had a baby and they generously gave this to me"
"The residents here are very kind" Annette felt touched by their kindness.
"But, I don't know how to do it" Annette offered Parker a plain look, "Taking care of the baby, this is my first time"
Parker scratched his non-itchy nape, feeling as confused as Annette. He also has no experience at all about it.
"What if we do it together?"
"Eum"
They went together to the bathroom. Parker prepares warm water in the bathtub and Annette holds her crying baby. Parker makes a few little jokes on his face instead of laughing but the baby just stares boredly at Parker. His reaction made Parker laugh.
In addition Annette very carefully cleaned every inch of the tiny body with water and rubbed it very gently for fear of making the thin skin flushed. Afterwards, Parker picks up a towel and helps stem Aldrich's baby. Then he took her and took her out of the bathroom.
Annette who saw the panorama for a moment felt a tremor in her heart, "If only the man I marry was a warm figure like Parker's sister" she murmured softly.
Parker puts Aldrich's baby in bed. Annette just came out of the bathroom and walked over to Parker's side.
"Now what should we do?"
"Dressing for baby Al" said Parker, at a glance, his attitude shows the spirit of the young father who first had experience taking care of children.
They also help each other wear clothes to baby Aldrich. But her cries still did not subside when they had replaced her clothes.
"Why else is this? Why hasn't she stopped crying?" Annette just sat on the floor, completely frustrated.
Parker, who honestly felt tired, lay limp on the bed right next to baby Aldrich. He realized, it turns out taking care of the baby is not an easy thing.
"She looks thirsty..." Parker said later.
