Parker again stomped his feet into Egbert's castle as promised. At exactly eight in the morning, he had already pressed the bell and it did not take long for the door to open. A servant greeted her with perfect etiquette and service.
"You're Parker's doctor?"
"really"
"Ah, then please come in"
Mary's butler had informed the rest of the castle's servants that they were about to see a young doctor at about eight in the morning. It was none other than the doctor who was going to check on the state of their mistress who reportedly passed out last night due to the actions of an uninvited guest.
The waiter took Parker up the stairs to the second floor. Halfway through, they cross paths with Mary's butler who seemed to have just walked out of their master's room.
"Ah, you've come" Mary smiled politely as she greeted the young man wrapped neatly in a clean white coat.
"Yes" Parker replied with the same smile and nodded softly.
"Missy we just woke up, you should check it out. But I'm sorry I can't accompany you because there's something I have to do"
"Ah, no problem. You please go take care of it, I'll be fine by myself"
"Well then, if there's anything you need, tell one of our waiters immediately"
"Good"
After saying that, Mary rushed downstairs. He had to face his master to account for his mistake that last night had just received a guest in the castle to make their mistress almost dying.
Parker was escorted by a waiter until right at the door last night he checked on Annette. After that the waiter was ready to go to continue his work. Parker simply nodded and stared at the departure of the servant's back which gradually vanished from sight.
In his heart he wondered how many servants worked in a castle this big. This made him even more curious, how rich is the owner of this place?
Parker stopped his curiosity and went inside immediately. There he saw a little boy who was about five years old. Sit on the side of the bed right next to the woman lying down.
The frail woman seemed to let her index finger be lifted up, snagged in the little boy's mouth that was seen moving forward sucked her up. Parker's eyes continued to widen in surprise, "Excuse me!"
As much as the panic was, Parker chose to stay calm and say hello politely first.
Annette who was smiling weakly, looked at her son who was so excitedly sucking his index finger. But when he heard a man's voice coming on, he kept turning to the origin of the voice, "Yes?"
Annette's eyes were round in amazement. Although five years have passed, he will not forget someone who has been very meritorious in making him survive to this day. She finally chooses to breathe and takes the bold step of giving birth to a vampire baby.
"Sir Parker" He cried. Although her voice sounded soft, but the smile that burst out on her beautiful tapered face, made her a little more energetic.
"You still remember me?" Parker was happy to know the woman had not forgotten him. It used to look so young and girl, but now she has transformed into a very motherly adult woman.
"of course. How could I forget my brother. Thanks to the kindness of my brother back then, I finally still survive until now. I even managed to raise a very handsome son"
'Who is he?' Aldrich knitted his pair of eyebrows.
"Ah, so he's Aldrich?"
"Yes, here it is" Annette slowly got up from the bed and leaned against the headboard, "Aldrich, let's shake hands with Parker's uncle"
Aldrich removed his mother's index finger from his mouth. Without a smile on his face, he went to greet the man as his mother had asked.
Parker admired how handsome the boy was. As the boy shook his hand, he gently rubbed his head. He could feel how smooth his corny yellow hair was neatly combed and charming.
"It's been this big, but it's still not smiling" Parker recalled when the boy was a baby, there was absolutely no trace of neonatal smiling. Even now, that little face looked so stiff as to print a smile.
Parker shook his head with a helpless smile, "Annette, your son is too cold and indifferent"
"Gt..." Annette pressed her flat stomach and laughed lightly. Then he nodded softly saying, "You're right. But thank God he still knows how to smile well at me, his mama"
Aldrich who heard the conversation between the two men did not pierce anything.
"You, you just sucked your mother's blood?"
The question left Aldrich dumbfounded.
"Night he lost so much blood that he fainted. Her current condition is still too weak, so can you not drink your mama's blood for a day?"
"You are?"
"Ah, I'm the doctor who checked on your mom last night. I'm also an old acquaintance"
Old acquaintance?
Their relationship must have been intimate enough that the man learned of his secret, which was a half-human vampire child.
After Aldrich noticed, the figure looked quite sincere and kind. Lose far away and can't even be compared to his ruthless and jerky father. The two men are visible...
Like black and white.
"Well then, for the next few days I'll drink animal blood instead"
Annette's eyelashes shook slowly, "Is it okay?" He asked, however, how anxious he was to remember that his son had never consumed any animal blood so far, "Honey, you're not used to it. Mama's afraid you'll—"
"Yes.." Aldrich gently patted the back of his mother's hand and said wisely, "Your health is paramount. No matter what, you're more important to me now"
Annette smiled and her eyes were full of tears.
