"Ah, yes" Annette awkwardly pulled her hand from Egbert's face. Then lowered his gaze down as if he wanted to cry from embarrassment. He thought the man was still sleeping, but who would have guessed...
'I didn't expect to be caught red-handed like this'
At a glance the corner of Egbert's eyes caught Annette's awkward glare, her lips just twitching a smile without saying a word.
At exactly seven in the morning Annette was already sitting with Egbert at the dinner table. Unlike yesterday, this morning Egbert only had breakfast with a glass of fresh blood that was somehow taken from what animal. Annette who saw the thick red liquid in the clear glass should feel nauseous and disgusted. But don't know why...
"Does it taste good?" Annette involuntarily swallowed her saliva looking at Egbert who seemed to be gulping at the liquid so delicately.
Egbert placed the glass in his hand onto the table and noticed Annette's pair of sparkling black eyes a little more than usual, "Why?" A pair of Egbert's eyebrows clutched together, "You're interested in trying it?"
Annette almost nodded but her common sense immediately made her shake loudly refusing, "No"
He really did not know why he suddenly felt so excited*t to taste the thick red liquid. As a human being, it was obviously not normal at all.
Cutting the toast on a plate with a knife and sticking it with a fork, Annette stuffed a small slice into her mouth. A few moments of chewing, the turmoil in his stomach back act exactly like last night.
"Ughhh!" Annette smothered her mouth tightly and ran to the sink. There he immediately vomited until a mouthful of acidic liquid came out, ready to erode his stomach which was not filled with any food at all.
After rinsing her mouth clean, Annette sat back at the table. Staring at the plate of freshly touched toast, he had no appetite to eat it anymore. He took a glass of warm vanilla milk and drank it. But the sweet aroma of milk, immediately make it again...
"Ugh" Feeling nauseous the umpteenth time.
As a result, Annette angrily placed the glass on the table, creating a fairly loud noise breaking the silence of the dining table.
"Truly I wanted to die, not a single piece of food could escape my stomach" After saying that, Annette lay her head limp on the table.
Not only was his body not powered up, but his head that morning also felt dizzy as if lacking blood. Presumably the baby in his stomach was actually consuming the blood in his body.
Egbert looked at Annette with an undescribed gaze. He recalled last night's conversation with Robbin about Annette's nausea that would never go away as long as the girl touched human food.
"Are you sure you don't want to try it?" Egbert raised the glass that contained condensed blood and it was already half left, "This is rabbit blood. Their blood is quite sweet with a slight sour taste at the ends. I think it's a lot more delicious than deer blood that's too sweet"
Those words almost got Annette hooked. Now the radiance that came out in his eyes was as if he was staring at a glass of fresh strawberry juice.
"Is the sour taste similar to the strawberry acid that has just been picked?" Ask Annette. He had already straightened his back and his head swiftly pointed towards the glass that Egbert was holding. Just like that he had licked his lower lip as if he could not wait to grab the glass and chug the contents in it until it ran out.
Egbert tau strawberry fruit known as the acid variant of the fruit is most loved by human girls. But as a vampire of course he never tasted the fruit. But after predicting further...
"It looks similar to that, the sour-sweet taste of fresh strawberry fruit"
Instantly Annette swallowed her saliva and it was evident from the small movements in her throat. Egbert who caught the reaction, hid a small smile at the corner of his lips. Then he took the teapot containing the rabbit's blood and poured it slightly into an empty glass.
Poking the glass at Annette, he said, "Try"
Annette again gulped and her hands slowly began to reach for the glass Egbert had thrust out. At first glance he glanced at Egbert, seeing the man half tilting his head with a signal telling him to immediately taste the glass.
"Can't" his wits instantly returned and Annette placed the glass on the table.
"I'm not a blood-sucking creature like you" Annette said, "I'll just keep eating this"
As a result, Annette tried hard to spend toast on a plate, even though in the middle he chewed his nausea continues to explode. But he ignored it by taking a glass of water and gulping it down.
Just as she was about to spit out her entrails, Annette insisted on holding her back.
"Done" Annette got up from the dinner table and so she immediately rushed off to the campus.
"What an unyielding human girl" Egbert said after noticing Annette's struggle at breakfast midway between her nausea and vomiting.
On campus Annette runs a series of activities as usual. Only in the middle of class, he had to bother excusing the toilet for failing to control his nausea.
After vomiting so much in the sink, Annette staggered along the hallway. In addition to his energy that had completely decreased drastically, the dizziness in his head made him seem to want to faint.
Reaching the classroom door, Annette clung to the doorknob and opened it.
"Literature is a language art that has a high level of aesthetics. That's why when we read the fruits of his work such as novels and romances, the sea of words in it will make—"
Bruk!
Sean's conversation in front of the audience was immediately cut short to see the figure who had just opened the door now collapsed right in front of thousands of pairs of eyes. Sean blinked his eyes in surprise, wasn't that Annette?
A small commotion in the classroom ensued as Sean ran to where Annette lay unconscious. Sean draped the girl's hands to her neck and then raised her small waist.
"I'm sorry, for learning we got here first"
After saying that, Sean rushed out of the room by holding Annette in his hand. At that time the girls began to talk to voice their envy of Annette who was so lucky to be carried by the most handsome lecturer in their faculty.
Sean had already put Annette in the car, slapped her cheek softly, he wanted to see if the girl's eyes lifted things slightly.
"Annette"
"You hear me?"
"Annette?"
After several pats, Annette's eyes still remained tightly closed. Sean placed his index finger on the sill of Annette's nose and found that the girl's breath felt so weak.
Sean pulled out his phone and immediately contacted Egbert.
"Where are you?"
"I found your wife passed out in my class"
