Vampire'S Secret Baby

Vampire'S Secret Baby
|20|. A Riskier Pregnancy

"You don't have to go to college today"

Annette and Egbert never had breakfast together. But that morning, Annette saw Egbert waiting for her at the dinner table and said something that instantly made her appetite disappear.

"Why?" Annette cut a cow's eye egg with a fork and put it in her mouth.

"Don't I say it last night? Today you will be examined by an obstetrician" Egbert said with a flat expression that infuriated Annette.

"I have only two courses today and will be finished at exactly twelve noon. Can't you just delay it until that hour?" Tukas Annette is obviously not happy if he should be absent today from campus.

"Everything I've arranged, there's no delay, so I'll say it"

Annette who heard that answer, gripped tightly the fork in hand. Should he be angry? Rebelling hard if he disagrees? Shall?

"Isn't it just a checkup? I thought we could do it around two o'clock in the afternoon or right after dinner" Annette decided to speak calmly.

Egbert cut the heart of the grilled cow and bribed it into the mouth. After chewing through the stuff in his mouth, Egbert gulped down a glass of goat blood. After that take a tissue and wipe his mouth with a very neat movement.

"The doctor who will come is the doctor of my nation. He's someone who's pretty busy. But last night I called him and told him to come here immediately" Egbert said, his cold eyes seemingly explaining nonchalantly, "The journey from there to this place took about eight hours. By force of mine, he has departed from one in the morning and will be until about eight"

Egbert put away the plate to the side and folded his hands together on the table, "Now you understand why I said there is no delay?"

Annette died a flea at the spot hearing that explanation. His anger instantly dissipated and the blood in his brain that had been boiling now cooled. He was quite impressed the indifferent man wanted to explain it until the whole thing.

"Eum" Annette just nodded slowly as a sign of understanding.

After breakfast, Annette sends Lucy a message saying that she is sick and cannot go to college. Then he went to his room, sat on the window sill and looked down at the castle with its large trees and beautiful green grass.

In the stillness of the wind blowing through her face, Annette muttered, "I'm pregnant, but right now my stomach is still flat" Annette felt the surface of her stomach.

"If I grow up, should I take time off from college?"

The thought of it made Annette sigh heavily.

"What if it'll affect my scholarship?" Annette threw her gaze towards the bright blue sky.

It was quite bright with a touch of vibrant morning sun. But seeing that for a moment Annette smiled.

"Will my tomorrow be as bright as today?"

At exactly eight in the morning past ten minutes, the doctor Egbert had intended to arrive at the villa. It was an old man wearing a long, knee-length brown coat, fresh and stocky in stature. Annette lay on the bed and let the doctor examine her.

"It's been four weeks" the doctor replied.

Successfully make Annette's heart beat fast with her hands gently palpating her stomach trying to feel life in there.

"As long as I am engaged in the medical world, this is the first time I have dealt with human patients who contain the seeds of our nation. I think this pregnancy will definitely be very risky" West Java again.

Egbert nodded in understanding. At first he glanced at Annette. He could see a trace of anxiety hit the look on the girl's face.

"Human babies when in the womb, will get intake from what their mothers eat through the placenta. While in our nation also so only the basic food of man is not blood like us so this big difference will obviously be a big threat"

Annette who heard the explanation clearly, squeezed the cloth blanket nervously. One word that keeps ringing-ngiang— 'threat'.

"I am worried that the baby in the human body will eat blood cells in the body and do not rule out the possibility if this happens, then the process of pregnancy development will be faster. That generally ranges from nine months but this can be five months or maybe even four months depending on how much the baby consumes its mother's blood"

"So there is a chance that this pregnancy will last faster than pregnancy in general?" Ask Egbert. He would not have guessed it turns out that humans carrying babies of their nation is not that simple.

"It can be said that" Nod the old doctor.

"Just what I just said earlier, it is still an initial speculation. We can look at the week ahead as a reference. If there is indeed a rapid development in pregnancy and the patient has anemia, then my speculation is correct"

"Em" Egbert just cleared his throat as a sign of understanding what the doctor meant.

Egbert took the doctor out of Annette's room. Then he clapped his hands, sending a signal to Mary to come.

"Have you prepared a room for Robbin's doctor to rest?"

"It's master" Nod Mary.

Then Egbert turned to Robbin saying, "Stay here for the next week"

"I'm afraid I can't. What if the imperial people are looking for me?"

In his country, Robbin was the most senior doctor who served as a doctor in the palace. He has had some students who some of them have opened their own practice and some of them also work with him in the palace.

"That's why I can take care of it" That's because only Robbin can Egbert trust. Aside from highly ranked doctors, but Robbin is also a neutral medical skilled who is not involved in any faction. That was why he trusted the old doctor enough.

"Alright, then I will stay at this place for a week" the last Tukas Robbin agreed. Egbert was one of his respected men in the empire. The man has contributed a lot in every medical development project he has worked on.

That was why it was difficult for him to refuse Egbert's request. Just like last night, when he did not want to leave early in the morning from his place to the land of man. But as Egbert continued to press, he soon set a schedule to leave.
