The marriage of Albern and Lily was a big news story. The two leaders of the company who were working together were suddenly married, but previously there was no news if the two would strengthen the cooperation with a business marriage. "Why not eat?" Darrel's voice suddenly disperse Zivanna's daydream.

Zivanna looked up rather surprised. Darrel had already finished eating, while his food had not been touched in the slightest.

"I'm full" Zivanna said later, pushing her plate away. He then grabbed a glass of water and downed it.

Of course Darrel slightly frowned. Zivanna hadn't even put food in her mouth a single mouthful, how could she feel full?

"Why? Are you having a problem?" darrel asked still in his flat tone.

"If I have a problem, will you help me?" Zivanna asked back.

Once again Darrel looked at Zivanna with question marks.

"Of course I'll help as much as I can. What's the problem?" darrel asked again after being silent for a while.

"My parents would have betrothed me if I wasn't married, too" Zivanna said, staring at Darrel once more. He wanted to see the man's reaction when he heard that he would be betrothed to someone else.

"You're gonna be betrothed?" repeat Darrel still while linking his two eyebrows. The man looks so calm for the size of a man who hears his girl will be betrothed to someone else. It certainly makes Zivanna's chest feel a bit tight.

Darrel who had just sipped his drink seemed to choke until he coughed. Of course Zivanna immediately got up to help pat the man on the back with a surprised expression mixed with dismay.

"Are you okay?" zivanna asked as Darrel's cough finally subsided.

Darrel nodded while drinking water to relieve his chest that was a little sore from the choking earlier, while Zivanna sat back in place.

The two people then both fell silent, seemingly immersed in each other's thoughts. Zivanna herself seemed to be somewhat bowing her gaze with an increasingly sad expression.

"Did marrying me really sound surprising in your ears?" zivanna asked then in a voice that sounded a little soft.

Darrel raised his face without being able to say anything. The man looked confused and did not know what to respond to Zivanna's question.

"If you're not willing to marry me, it's okay, Darrel." Zivanna finally raised her face as well while smiling faintly.

"It's not so, Zi. I don't think now's a good time for us to talk about it. I'm not ready yet" Darrel finally replied.

"Not ready? How much longer will it take to get you ready? We've been in a relationship for over seven years, Darrel," Zivanna said.

"Marriage isn't something to mess with, Zi." Darrel won't lose.

"Do I look like I'm messing around? I'm thirty years old this year, Darrel. I don't want to make my parents worry like Kak Al did." Zivanna retorted more seriously.

Darrel seemed to sigh for a moment.

"But I'm really not ready, Zi. Please, understand ...." Darrel muttered somewhat stifledly.

Zivanna looked back at Darrel with an increasingly sad look.

"I see," said Zivanna in a voice that turned a little hoarse.

"They're right. All this time you stayed in a relationship with me because you were forced, not because you had the same feelings as me." Zivanna's eyes looked teary.

Darrel was shocked by what Zivanna said.

"From now on, I will no longer bind you to this bond you do not want, Darrel. You're free. Nothing will stand in the way again if you want to be in a relationship with the girl you like. Sorry I wasted so much of your time." Zivanna tried to comment on the smile even though her face looked very sad.
