Upon arrival at home, Lily immediately took a bath and was about to rest for a while. But then he immediately looked for the mother because there was something he wanted to ask, and it turned out that the mother was cleaning something in her room.
Lily was a little confused when she found her mother putting some clothes in a suitcase.
"What's your mom doing?" Ask Lily.
"Mama is preparing the clothes that Papa will bring. This afternoon your father will be leaving for Singapore." Carissa replied while putting some other items that Evan needed into the suitcase.
"Why go to Singapore?" Lily looked surprised.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Why, Ma? Did something happen to Oma and Opa?" Ask Lily again. The girl looked a little panicked.
"No, Oma and Opa are fine. There's a problem at Papa's hospital." Answer Carissa.
"Huh?"
"It's a pretty serious malpractice, the patient filed a lawsuit, so Papa has to get there right away." Carissa gave an explanation.
Lily looked shocked until her mouth was slightly agape. Never has his papa hospital in Singapore experienced such a bad thing.
"Come, help Mama. Later Papa came to pick up his suitcase and immediately left for the airport."
Lily agrees, then helps Carissa prepare the needs of Doctor Evan while in Singapore later.
Not long after, Evan also came in a bit of a hurry.
"Dear." Call him Carissa.
Carissa quickly met her husband while carrying a suitcase she had prepared earlier. Lily looks tailed at her mom.
"All your needs I've prepared in here." Carissa said as she pushed the suitcase in front of Evan.
"Thank you, I have to go now." Evan takes over the suitcase, then kisses Carissa's forehead.
"Papa go first, Lily. Don't be naughty as long as Papa isn't around." Evan turned to Lily. His words sounded like he was talking to a child.
"okay." Lily answered while lifting one of her thumbs.
"Don't worry too much, Pa. Everything's gonna be okay." His words again gave encouragement to the papa.
Evan nodded.
"really. Everything's gonna be fine. Papa's leaving." Evan pulled his suitcase, then quickly got into the car that had been waiting for him.
Carissa and Lily take Evan's departure to their yard. Shortly after, the car driven by Evan moves out of the courtyard of the house, then disappears at the end of the road.
"How long has Papa been there, Ma?" Lily asked as her Papa's driven Car completely disappeared from view.
"It can't be ascertained. But the estimate is about a week or so. Or it could be up to two weeks." Answer Carissa.
Lily's stunned. If his father had been gone that long, it would have meant that there was no chance of him seeing his father and telling him that he was already in a relationship with Albern. Albern was eager to meet Evan. And the company party that will be held by Brylee Group, will Lily still attend it even though she has not received approval from her father?
"Come, come in." Carissa's voice breaks Lily's daydream. The middle-aged woman walked into the house
Lily followed Carissa from behind while thinking what she should do. If you tell your father in a situation that is not conducive like this, he is afraid to make everything fall apart. Is it possible that Lily would need advice from her mother?
Carissa.
"Something I want to ask."
This time Carissa completely flipped her body and faced Lily.
"I mean, I want to ask Mama's opinion." Lily read his words.
"Again an opinion on what?" Ask Carissa. The middle-aged woman shook herself on the sofa to listen to Lily speak.
Lily sat down next to her mother.
"Brylee Group wants to have a party, and Al's sister wants to take me to that party..." The girl opened the conversation. I heard him speak very carefully.
"Then?" Ask Carissa. He knew that what Lily said earlier was not the crux of the matter.
"Before the party, we wanted to tell Papa about our relationship, because Kak Al intended to introduce me officially as his future wife to his colleagues at the party later."
Carissa froze. Albern wants to introduce his daughter as a potential wife at a company party that Brylee Group will be holding? Wouldn't such an event usually be attended by important people? Does Albern really want to do that?
Carissa doesn't know what to respond to that. It seems that Albern's feelings towards Lily were much more serious than Carissa had imagined.
"Given the condition of Papa's hospital right now, there must be a lot that Papa has to think about. It was impossible for me to tell Papa about our relationship. What am I supposed to do?" Ask Lily then.
Carissa looked at her daughter's face. Lily seemed to be in a dilemma.
"Sister Al had even prepared a dress that he ordered specifically, he really wished I was his partner at the party. Do I have to cancel it and let her down?" Ask Lily again.
Carissa was silent. She seemed to be thinking about giving Lily an opinion. Honestly, Carissa was a little confused. This was her first experience listening to her daughter's curses on romance issues, not to mention Lily was also asking for input from her. He really doesn't know what he's got to say?
"When is the party held?" Ask Carissa then.
"About another week." Answer Lily.
Carissa fell silent again. If the party is held for another week, chances are that Evan is still in Singapore.
"Your father must still be busy dealing with the hospital's problems. Praying is not too complicated. If your father has managed to handle it, maybe we can talk about this again." Said later.
Lily took her breath. It looks like it will be more difficult than he imagined. He doesn't know what it will be like.
"I have to tell this to Brother Al first. It might not matter if I cancel being her partner at the party." Lily got up from her seat. Then he passed to his own room. Looks like her mother can't help anything. He only hoped that Albern would not be too disappointed by this.
Carissa looked at Lily's back with a bit of guilt. Of course he cannot decide that unilaterally. Being the official partner of a heiress of a large company like Albern is certainly not trivial, although only limited to prospective wives. If everyone knew Lily was the girl Albern would be the wife of tomorrow, everyone, especially the Albern colleagues themselves, would talk a lot about Lily, whether it was a good thing or a bad thing.
Carissa must not rashly agree to it just like that, before Evan gives his approval.
Seriate...
And their struggle begins here...
