"Don't worry too much, Pa. Everything's gonna be okay." His words again gave encouragement to the papa.

Evan nodded.

"really. Everything's gonna be fine. Papa's leaving." Evan pulled his suitcase, then quickly got into the car that had been waiting for him.

Carissa and Lily take Evan's departure to their yard. Shortly after, the car driven by Evan moves out of the courtyard of the house, then disappears at the end of the road.

"How long has Papa been there, Ma?" Lily asked as her Papa's driven Car completely disappeared from view.

"It can't be ascertained. But the estimate is about a week or so. Or it could be up to two weeks." Answer Carissa.

Lily's stunned. If his father had been gone that long, it would have meant that there was no chance of him seeing his father and telling him that he was already in a relationship with Albern. Albern was eager to meet Evan. And the company party that will be held by Brylee Group, will Lily still attend it even though she has not received approval from her father?

"Come, come in." Carissa's voice breaks Lily's daydream. The middle-aged woman walked into the house

"Before the party, we wanted to tell Papa about our relationship, because Kak Al intended to introduce me officially as his future wife to his colleagues at the party later."

Carissa froze. Albern wants to introduce his daughter as a potential wife at a company party that Brylee Group will be holding? Wouldn't such an event usually be attended by important people? Does Albern really want to do that?

"When is the party held?" Ask Carissa then.

"About another week." Answer Lily.

Carissa fell silent again. If the party is held for another week, chances are that Evan is still in Singapore.

"Your father must still be busy dealing with the hospital's problems. Praying is not too complicated. If your father has managed to handle it, maybe we can talk about this again." Said later.

Lily took her breath. It looks like it will be more difficult than he imagined. He doesn't know what it will be like.

"I have to tell this to Brother Al first. It might not matter if I cancel being her partner at the party." Lily got up from her seat. Then he passed to his own room. Looks like her mother can't help anything. He only hoped that Albern would not be too disappointed by this.

Carissa looked at Lily's back with a bit of guilt. Of course he cannot decide that unilaterally. Being the official partner of a heiress of a large company like Albern is certainly not trivial, although only limited to prospective wives.
