Albern and Lily

Albern and Lily
The Road Not Easy

Evan stopped his steps, then turned his head towards the source of the sound. Lady Ginna, who had been sitting on a sofa, was now standing with the help of a crutch in one of her hands.

"I'm the one who really wants to meet Lily, so please let her be here a little longer, Doctor Evan," Ginna told Evan. His voice sounded rather weak and quivering, like an elderly in general. But there was an unconscious suppressor that made his sentence sound incontrovertible.

"I'm not sure what after this still has a chance to meet your daughter again, considering we don't know if tomorrow an old woman like me is still breathing like today,"

"You're healthy for a parent your age, Mrs Ginna," Evan responded.

Lady Ginna chuckled. Of course, all members of the Brylee family were surprised to see it, because the big lady of the Brylee family was famous for very rarely laughing.

"Thank you for your praise, Doctor Evan. So, does that mean you grant this old man's selfless wish?"

Evan was silent for a moment. In fact, he could have rejected Ginna's wishes. But for the sake of courtesy to a much older person, Evan chose to give up. It seemed like he had to hold back a little this time.

"Alright, Lady Ginna," Evan released his hand grip on Lily's arm.

"I'll give Lily two hours to finish her lunch here, but after that she should already be at home" Evan said.

Madame Ginna commented a smile.

"And I hope this is the first time at the same time the last time Lily joined your family event," added Evan again before later switching to Lily.

"Lily, after this go straight home. There's a lot you have to talk about with Papa."

"Well, Pa," Lily replied while nodding weakly. It was obvious that the girl looked a bit scared.

"I'm sorry, Mrs Ginna. Don't forget to deliver Lily home on time." Evan again said to Ginna, responded with a nod from the old woman.

Evan steps back and passes from the front of the Brylee family, accompanied by Carissa. The couple eventually returned without taking Lily with them.

Meanwhile, after the passing of her parents, Lily looked stunned with a blank look. It seemed that the arrival of her mother and father had made the girl feel a little shocked.

"Lily, let's go to the dinner table. Lunch is ready, "Zaya embraces Lily and invites the girl to approach the dinner table.

"Eh, i-iya, Ma," Lily replied with a slight stammer. Inevitably Lily follows Zaya who directs her to sit on one of the Brylee family's dining table chairs. Lily sat still with an unfocused mind.

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine, for sure" Anbern's voice tried to cheer.

Lily looked. It turned out that the man had been sitting on the chair that was located right next to him.

"I will try my hardest to convince your father. We will certainly get his blessing," comfort Albern again.

Lily reviewed a smile, then nodded though faintly. He believed in Albern's words and tried to temper the uneasiness in his heart.

"Oh, let's have lunch first." Aaron interrupting. The Brylee family members who have all been at the dinner table agree with Aaron's words. They started lunch even with a slightly changed atmosphere.

After eating lunch, Ginna asked everyone to gather in the family room. It seems that there is something important that the Great Mistress wants to convey.

"Abryan, Lily ...." Ginna opened the conversation by calling the two people who were now sitting in front of her like people charged with a crime.

"Yes, Grandma," Albern and Lily answered almost simultaneously.

"Do you really love each other?" ask Ginna then.

"Of course we really love each other" Albern replied firmly.

Ginna glanced at the silent Lily.

"Is that so, Lily?" ask the Big Lady to Lily.

"I love Al very much, Grandma. But Papaku ... It seems like Papa strongly disapproves of our relationship," Lily replied as she slightly lowered her face. I don't know what's on that girl's mind right now. His face looks agitated.

Ginna was silent for a moment, then sighed.

"Albern, can't you just marry a girl other than Lily?" ask Ginna again. This time in a more serious tone.

"Grandmas?" Albern looked at his beloved grandmother with question marks. Lily also looked very surprised to hear Ginna's question just now.

"There are a lot of parents who want their daughter to marry you, why would you want a girl whose parents don't approve of you?" Ginna looked back at Albern. Although his age was dusk, the sharpness of Mrs Ginna's words still did not diminish in the slightest.

"But Lily's parents don't approve of your relationship,"

"Only Uncle Evan has not, Aunt Carissa has given her blessing."

"Your paths won't be easy. Are you sure you can deal with it?"

"We'll deal with it even if it's hard."

"That's what you said, what about Lily? Is he capable of dealing with his own father?"

Albern. Lily who was still loyal bowed her head. Could this girl now feel doubtful?

"Lilly ..." Albern turned to Lily.

"I'll deal with it, Grandma." Lily finally said as she raised her face.

"I will be with Al until the end. We'll try to melt Papa's heart. If it fails, we will try again, constantly until Papa relents and gives his blessing to us. I know it's not going to be easy, but we're not going to give up." Lily added with confidence.

Ginna was a little stunned at Lily's words just now, as well as Albern and everyone else there.

"Are you sure?" ask Ginna not to believe it.

"I'm sure, Grandma. Very sure," Lily replied steadily.

Albern smiled, a smile returned by the girl. The two human children who fell in love with each other seemed to look at each other with all the feelings that exist. They looked like they were giving each other strength just by looking at each other.

"Excuse me, Young Master. Dhani's assistant is here" suddenly a servant informs Assistant Dhani's arrival at Albern. The person in question seemed to come with a face look less good.

"Sorry to interrupt your weekend, Young Master. There are important things that I have to tell you directly, and right now," Assistant Dhani said after previously bowing respectfully.

Albern looked to be frowning both his eyebrows. Never before had this assistant come to see him, especially on a weekend like today. There must be something really important and urgent.

"We're talking in my study." Albern got up from his seat.

"Talk with Mama and Grandma first. There's something I need to talk to Assistant Dhani" Albern told Lily.

Lily nodded. He smiled to hint at Albern if he didn't mind. Albern passed to his study, followed by Assistant Dhani.

"What's wrong?" albern asked shortly after they were in her study.

"You should see this, Young Master." Dhani's assistant took out her smartphone and showed Albern something.

"The article about Miss Lily continues to fulfill online news, and the average contains about bad things and cornered Miss. The news came up last night. I was so negligent that I only found out this afternoon" Assistant Dhani explained in a regretful tone.

Albern read at a glance one by one the article referred to through a smartphone owned by Assistant Dhani earlier. His face looks hard.

"It does not seem to make the company upset or lower the stock price, but obviously this is very detrimental to Miss Lily. Miss Lily's reputation became very bad and many people blasphemed her" Assistant Dhani added.

Albern sighed to slightly neutralize his suddenly rising emotions. If all those articles have been around since last night, then it is likely that Lily's parents have read them as well. Evan looks very unhappy and says something ambiguous when he comes. He must have been very angry after reading about the bad news about his son.

"An hour." murmured Albern then withholding growl.

"Yes, Young Master?"

"I'll give you an hour. After an hour, all the news about Lily had to be gone. And most importantly, teach all the online media that have written such baseless articles so that they do not dare to repeat it again!" albern's Order.

"Okay, Young Master,"

Albern looked straight ahead while clenching both of his hands. It seemed true what her Grandma had said earlier if the path she was going to walk along with Lily would not be easy.
