Albern and Lily

Albern and Lily
The Two Mama Deal

Zaya was silent for a while, before finally agreeing to Carissa's request to meet. The two then decide on a place for them to meet tomorrow. And after a bit of small talk, Carissa ended her phone call.

Zaya's eyes returned to Albern, then changed to Zivanna.

"Zi, I hope you won't help Lily lie to her parents anymore." Said Zaya then to Zivanna.

"Yes, Ma." Zivanna replied as she returned to her original seat.

"And you, Al. Tell Mama the extent of your relationship with Lily. What have you done to him?" Zaya turned to ask Albern.

Albern looked to be frowning both his eyebrows.

"Darling, do you really need to ask Albern that question? He is very mature, he knows his limits. After all if they did something, of course it wasn't just Albern's wish, Lily would have wanted it too. Carissa should have understood." Aaron looked to defend Albern.

Replaced Zaya who sighed. In fact, he also felt that Albern and Lily could not possibly do something embarrassing. But her rather unpleasant past experiences make Zaya a little paranoid.

"Me and Lily didn't do something that would tarnish the family's good name, Ma. Trust us, we won't put the family to shame." Albern finally calmed Zaya down.

"I took Lily to the lab just to show her the plants from my research." Added Albern again.

Hearing that Zivanna seemed to snort somewhat annoyed.

"I can't see, but Lily can." Grumpy the girl.

"Of course I can. She's my future wife." Albern responded to Zivanna's grumbling.

Zaya looked back at Albern.

"Right you and Lily didn't do anything there, Al? Mama doesn't know what to say to Mama Lily until you've disfigured her daughter." Firmly Zaya with a serious tone.

"Mama's words sound creepy." Mumbled Albern. But then she seemed to think a little. expressing words of love was not included in the category of desecration, right? Desecrating his thought.

"Alright, Honey. Just trust our son. He must know how to appreciate women." Aaron seemed to try to calm Zaya down. He could see his wife glancing at him with a rather unusual look.

"Don't tell me he can respect women like his father." Gumam Zaya jengah.

"What's wrong with me?" Aaron asked his wife with a sinless face.

Zaya did not answer and only sighed. Many experienced bitter things at the beginning of her marriage used to sometimes make Zaya feel afraid. Although then his life can be said to be very happy and Aaron also loved him so much. But still, fear often comes. Afraid that Albern had unwittingly made the same mistake as his father, and afraid that the pain he had once felt was also felt by whoever became Albern's partner.

Ah, that's a reasonable worry. Zaya hoped that would never happen.

The interrogation of Albern was finally completed. Albern could sigh in relief because the Mama had not misunderstood him anymore.

The next day, Zaya came to the place she had agreed with Carissa. She came a few minutes earlier than Mama Lily.

After a while, Carissa came too.

Zaya got up from her seat to greet Carissa. They sat down and ordered a drink.

"How are you, Carissa?" Ask Zaya.

"I'm good." Answer Carissa.

"Have not seen you play the piano for a long time. It's good that you're willing to return to your pianom play during Albern's appointment the other day." Zaya goes back to talking to Carissa.

"Since retiring, I've spent more time at home." Answer Carissa again. The middle-aged woman who once received the award as the best pianist has indeed announced her retirement since the last three years. What she does now is really take care of her husband and daughter alone, full time.

"What about you? I hear your business is growing faster. Lily even aspires to be a great businessman like you." Carissa asked Zaya.

Zaya laughed a little.

"Small businesses but can donate to hundreds of orphanages every month. Even Brylee Group isn't that generous." Carissa said again.

Zaya laughed again.

"If Brylee Group is too generous, it's afraid it's out of business." Zaya responded with a slur.

Carissa smiled. The atmosphere also became fluid.

"So Carissa, what do you really want to talk to me about?" Ask Zaya at last.

Carissa was silent for a moment while sighing deeply.

"It's about Albern and Lily. They're both in a relationship, do you know about it?" Carissa asked back.

"Me and Aaron knew. Albern had told us from the beginning." Answer Zaya.

"You knew from the beginning, and that doesn't matter to you?" Ask Carissa again.

"Why should it be a problem? Albern and Lily love each other. Our families have known each other and been friends for a long time. I don't think there's anything to dispute." Zaya said with a smile.

"So you're blessing their relationship?""

"Of course." Zaya smiled back.

Carissa was silent for a moment.

"But the ages of Albern and Lily are quite far apart. Lily is very young and unstable." Mumbled later.

"Don't worry too much about something like that, Carissa. It seems that so far they have felt fit. Let them do it first."

Carissa looked silent again and seemed to be thinking.

"Evan doesn't know yet..." Carissa finally said the real problem.

Replaced Zaya who was silent and looked towards Carissa with a more serious gaze.

"During this time Evan had always been against any young man who approached Lily. I don't know how she reacted when I found out Lily was in a relationship with Albern. Moreover, he has a somewhat different view of your son."

Zaya remained silent and listened.

"Zaya, frankly, Evan had a not-so-good impression of Albern. She's worried Lily's life will suffer if she's next to someone with a great background like your son. I'm pretty sure he won't agree with Albern and Lily. And as his wife, I understand Evan's concerns. He wants his daughter to be happy."

Sontak Zaya immediately grasped Carissa's hands.

"I'll never let Lily suffer with Albern, Carissa. I pledge. I think of her as my own daughter. Of course I'll take care of him." Said Zaya with a hopeful look.

"I also understand what Brother Evan is worried about. Of course I won't let my past suffering be experienced by Lily either. I promised Albern I wouldn't do anything wrong like his father. After all, from the beginning she had loved Lily very much. There's nothing to worry about. All you need to do is convince Brother Evan to accept Albern, the rest I'll handle."

Carissa seemed to be digesting Zaya's words just now. Either he has to say it or not. He felt like he was dealing with a salesman who offered goods and could not afford to refuse.

"All right..." Carissa finally muttered with a slight sigh.

"I'm doing it because I believe in you, Zaya. Don't let Albern hurt Lily's stuff in the slightest, because if that happens, I won't trust you anymore."

Seriate...
