Albern and Lily

Albern and Lily
Hope Ginna

After listening to Lily tell a story, Albern again continued the pace of the car he was driving, until then the car went into the yard of a house that was quite luxurious. Lily recognized the house. It was the main residence of the Brylee family that had been occupied by Mrs Ginna, the grandma of Albern.

"Lho, aren't we going to see Grandma?" lily asked as Albern got out of the car and opened the car door for her.

"Yes, we want to see Grandma" said Albern.

"Sir Al said, Grandma is very sick. Time not hospitalized?" lily asked a bit confused.

"Grandma was treated at home for not wanting to be taken to the hospital" Albern explained. "Come on."

Lily was stunned for a moment, before she finally got off the car although still a little confused. He stepped behind Albern's back, into the mansion.

In the living room, Zaya is no longer alone. Zivanna is back. Aaron has also arrived from out of town. They all sat on the couch anxiously, waiting for the doctor who examined Ginna to come out of the treatment room. Just now Ginna's eyes opened again after a few days he was unconscious, so the doctor who handled it immediately checked his condition.

Brylee's family's tension waiting for the results of the doctor's examination was slightly sidetracked when they all saw Albern coming.

"God, thank goodness you're coming home soon. Your grandma is conscious. He will definitely ask you directly," said Zaya saw the arrival of his son.

"Grandma's conscious?" ask Albern.

"yeah." Zaya nodded. He was about to say something again, but his words were stuck in the esophagus when he saw a figure that had suddenly appeared from behind Albern.

Zaya looked very surprised to see the presence of the girl, as well as Aaron and Zivanna. The sister of Albern even got up from her seat unconsciously so insecure with her own vision.

"Lilly?' they all muttered almost simultaneously.

"Hello, everybody. How are you?" Lily, who did not know what to say, finally greeted awkwardly.

"Lilly? Are you really Lily?" Zivanna, who was still in disbelief, approached Lily and looked at the girl closely, from top to bottom.

"Yes, Sister Zi," Lily said rather clumsily. Being looked at by Zivanna like she is now really makes her clumsy.

Zivanna was stunned for a moment, but a moment later her eyes glared in dislike towards Lily. Of course that makes Lily even more clumsy.

Lily hasn't had time to say anything to properly greet Zaya and Aaron, the doctor who examined Ginna finally came out. It was clear that everyone was approaching him, including Albern. Lily followed behind.

"How's Mama's condition?" ask Aaron to the doctor.

"The current condition of the Great Mistress is quite stable, sir. But it's certainly not too good. At least, now the big lady can be invited to communicate," said the doctor.

"Can we see him?" This time it was Albern who asked.

"May, but I suggest to meet him alternately, not simultaneously. Maximum of two people. And also do not take too long because the Big Lady needs a calm atmosphere," replied the doctor again.

Albern nodded in understanding. She pulled Lily's hand so she couldn't help but get the girl closer to her.

"I'll see Grandma first" Albern told both his parents and Zivanna.

Without waiting for a response from all of them, Albern went into Ginna's treatment room while hinting Lily to follow him. In the room, Albern slowly approached Ginna, who was lying on the bed, followed by Lily from behind. His Grandma's eyes were already open, no longer as closed as those of the previous days. But of course it looks so sweet. Life support tools are still attached to the body of the old woman, indicating if the condition is still far from good.

Ginna seemed to raise one hand with great difficulty, then gestured for Albern to get close to her. Breathing aids that covered her mouth and nose made it difficult for Ginna to speak properly.

"Yes, Grandma," said Albern as he approached and slightly lowered his head on Ginna's side.

"Lilly ...." Ginna painstakingly mentioned the name of the girl standing behind Albern.

"Yes, it's Lily." Albern hinted to get closer to Ginna. "He's back. Now I'm going to obey Grandma's wish to get married. Grandma had to be healthy and watch my marriage" Albern said with slightly teary eyes.

Ginna nodded happily with eyes that also condensed. The next second, a warm clear liquid appeared to melt from the corner of the old woman's eyes.

"Lilly ...." Once again Ginna called Lily's name with all her ability.

"yes, Grandma," Lily said as she drew closer to Ginna.

Ginna's hand waved at Lily, asking the girl to come closer, which of course was directly obeyed by Lily.

"Lilly ...." Ginna touched Lily's gentle face. "Don't leave Albern again ...."

Lily nodded quickly, as fast as the tears that escaped her two eyes. The girl clasped Ginna's hand tightly and kissed her with all her feelings.

"I'm sorry, Grandma. I have absolutely no intention of making Kak Al suffer" Lily said rather sobbing.

Ginna nodded back. If only he was healthy and still had a lot of energy, maybe he would have a little bit of raving about Lily. But now he's completely powerless to do that. Lily has come back like a gift to her. Because then, his stubborn grandson finally agreed to get married.

"Hurry to marry. Albern is getting old," said Ginna again with great difficulty.

Inevitably Lily smiled grimacingly in between her stuffing.

"Who said I was old, Grandma. I'm mature and mature, not that I've told Grandma so many times" protested Albern.

Ginna fluttered her hand towards Albern.

"Basic doesn't know himself." Ginna grumbled in a soft voice, but it was clearly heard in Lily and Albern's ears.

Albern smiled with a feeling that could not be explained with words. Change him who holds Ginna's hand and kisses her reverence as Lily did earlier.

"Sorry, Grandma. All this time I've been testing Grandma's patience a lot" Albern muttered in a somewhat quivering voice. His feelings are now mixed between happy and sad, making him not know what to say.

"I don't want anything, Al. I just want to see you get married ..," said Ginna in a voice that was more subtle than before.

"I want to see you make a life partner, so that when I catch up with your Grandpa later, I can tell her that our beloved granddaughter is already living happily." Ginna added again.

This time it was Albern's tears that became unstoppable. The man again kissed his Grandma hand somewhat withstanding the sobbing.

"I'm getting married, Grandma. But please, don't tell me Grandma's leaving. I want Grandma to live longer and see our children born. Grandma must be strong and healthy again." Albern's pinta tearfully. His entire life after becoming an adult man, this was the first time he had sobbed without the slightest bit of embarrassment. Only Ginna made Albern not hesitate to show his weakness.
