Another Surprise

Lily turned her face for a moment to hold back her tears from falling, before she finally looked at Albern again. It was indescribable how happy he was right now. "Of course I want to" Lily answered at last as she blinked her eyes that felt sore from holding back tears.

Albern smiled, then got up and pinned the ring that was thrust into Lily's ring finger.

"Grandpa's ring?" repeat Lily while slightly widening her eyes.

Lily nodded. Because no one really wanted Albern to eat, he finally ordered the menu mentioned by Lily earlier. Not long after, all the dishes they ordered came. Lily ate her favorite food with great greed, so Albern became tasteful. Albern, who usually eats with the right table manner like people from the upper class, this time looked to peel shrimp using both hands directly, before eating it.

Not waiting long, all the dishes served were finished they ate. After paying for all the food, they returned to the car with a full stomach.

"Don't eat there often" Albern said as he turned on his car's engine.

"Why?" Lily looked a bit frowned.

"Not good for weight" says Albern.

"Oh, yes. If my parents are back from out of town, we'll see your parents, okay?" albern changed the subject.

"For the first meeting, it might be enough just me and you first. Later if there is no problem from your parents, in the next meeting, I will bring my parents," continued Albern again.
