Zivanna finally rushed home after getting shocking news from her mother. Throughout the journey, his mind continued to be filled with various questions. Why did Darrel even invite his parents to come home? He proposed, he said. Is that guy crazy? If he finally agreed to get married, then why did he say he wasn't ready last night?
Instead of feeling happy, Zivanna was upset instead of playing. Darrel was playing with his feelings. Whereas for almost eight years, the moment of the arrival of the man to meet his parents was the thing that Zivanna was waiting for. But right now Zivanna is really unhappy. Why must say not ready and destroy his feelings if in the end still come to propose.
With a rumbling chest, Zivanna continued to drive her vehicle home. Until then, he finally arrived at his home yard. Immediately Zivanna got out of her car and closed the door of the vehicle with a bit rough so rushed. He then entered the house with still an uncertain feeling.
Zivanna finds Darrel and his parents inside. Not in the living room, but in the family room. His parents and Darrel's parents seemed to be talking so closely that they did not realize his arrival.
"Zi." The figure that currently most upset Zivanna who actually greeted him. Zivanna wanted to throw her face away, but suddenly she saw a phenomenon that was rarely seen, especially if the smile on Darrel's lips.
Jesus, Zivanna was dumbfounded for a moment. He's not looking wrong, is he? Is it possible that the sun has risen from the west?
"Lho, Zhi. Have you arrived yet? Come, here. Why are you even hanging out there?" Zaya's voice breaks Zivanna's daydream.
Inevitably, Zivanna also had to put a friendly face towards the two Darrel parents who also turned to her, then stepped closer. The girl then sat down beside Zaya.
Serious talks began shortly after Zivanna's arrival. True what his mother said on the phone earlier, Darrel and his parents did come to talk about marriage problems. Instantly Zivanna raised her gaze and stared at Darrel sharply. For the entire time of the same day, he felt annoyed with this man before him.
"Sorry interjected. But can I talk to Darrel for a second?" ask Zivanna then politely.
Of course Zivanna's parents and Darrel's parents look at each other. They're kind of wondering why Zivanna still has to talk to Darrel. Even so, they still give permission for Zivanna to talk to Darrel alone.
Zivanna got up and passed towards the garden beside her house, followed by Darrel from behind. Arriving there, he turned around and looked at the man with an angry look.
"You want to play me, huh?" ask Zivanna nyalang.
Darrel didn't react. The man put on an expressionless face as usual. If usually Zivanna had no problem with the flat look, this time she looked bad.
"Yesternight you said you weren't ready to propose to me and said that marriage wasn't a mess. Then what are you doing now? You think by bringing your parents along, now I agree to marry you? No, Darrel. My feelings are hard for you to break. Go back inside and tell our parents that there will be no marriage between us. Also tell me that our relationship is over" Zivanna said very emotionally.
"You want to be like that, I don't" Darrel finally said.
"What?" Zivanna frowned.
"Does our relationship go according to your mood? In a relationship when you want to, and it ends when you want to end it?" darrel asked again with a flat expression.
Zivanna was getting upset by what Darrel said.
"Don't talk like I'm the bad one here" Zivanna said quickly.
"Okay, I was wrong. I forced you into a relationship with me. But you're mean to me, too, Darrel. You have made me fall into false hope. Not for a moment, but almost eight years .... " Zivanna again added in a lower tone.
Darrel sighed, then looked at Zivanna with a gaze that was again difficult to guess.
"It's over?" ask Darrel then.
"What?"
"Are you done making the complaint? Now listen to me. I want to explain to you why I haven't had the courage to talk about marriage and say I wasn't ready when you asked me to propose to you last night" Darrel said.
Zivanna further fused her eyebrows cluelessly. Especially when Darrel pulled out his phone and showed the balance in his account.
"What's this?" ask Zivanna. The nominal in the account is quite large, although certainly not much more than the money owned by his parents.
"I'm collecting the dowry I'm going to give you" Darrel said.
"What?" Again Zivanna looked at Darrel with question marks.
"Earlier than you asked me to propose to you, I had already discussed this with your papa." added Darrel.
Zivanna was just dumbstruck without being able to say anything.
"Five years ago, I met your father and told him I wanted to have a serious relationship with you. He didn't reject me even though he knew that you could get more of a man than me. But, he reminded firmly that I do not make you live in distress. I must have the ability first if I want to propose to you. That's why, Zi, I've been working so hard for a few years .... " Darrel paused his words with a long sigh.
"I said I'm not ready to apply for you because my savings will be enough in about three months. The house I was preparing may also have just been completely finished when the project I was working on was now completed" Darrel continued
"Home?" Zivanna bought her eyes a little.
Darrel nodded. Then he showed Zivanna something back through his phone screen. Images and videos of workers working on construction.
"The construction is only seventy percent. It still takes a lot of money to get to the finishing stage. But if everything goes well, it will be finished this year" Darrel said.
Zivanna was seen staring at Darrel with an expression that was hard to pin down.
"Your parents gave me a chance to prove that I'm worthy of your company. Although they demand nothing but my responsibilities, but at least I have to prepare a suitable dowry and a decent place to live for their precious daughter. And I had to prepare it from my own hard work to have a little courage to stand face to face." Darrel went back to explaining in a much lower tone.
"Everything's almost done, but then you suddenly ask me to come and propose and have our relationship terminated before listening to my explanation. I had no choice but to come early to propose to you even though my preparations were not enough. I almost went crazy when I heard you say you'd open up to a guy who likes you."
Zivanna raised her face again and once again looked at Darrel. This time he saw the expression on the man's face, the expression of the one who was near despair.
